Chapter 258: Chapter 258: Begging for Mercy? Sneak Attack

"Arghhh—!"

Attacked by the White Spirit Snake,

Damian Lynn only had time for a startled cry before he was completely Bound.

The excruciating pain and asphyxiation from the snake’s tightening coils instantly turned his face purple. His bones began to creak and groan under the immense pressure.

"Help... me! I’m dying! It’s murder! My own daughter is trying to kill her father! Everyone, come and look! Is there no law and order anymore?!"

He struggled desperately, trying to use public opinion to manipulate Crystal Lynn.

Meanwhile, the woman who had been feigning weakness and sowing discord just moments ago had been scared out of her wits the instant Beau transformed and lunged as a giant serpent.

Her face was ashen, and her legs gave out, sending her slumping to the ground.

She trembled violently, too terrified even to cry.

All her earlier arrogance and melodrama had vanished.

Crystal Lynn looked at the sickening man before her, truly wishing she could just let Beau finish him off.

But reason told her that the safe zone had ironclad rules.

She wouldn’t break those rules for this piece of trash and forfeit the sanctuary she and her sister had found in the safe zone.

Crystal Lynn suppressed her murderous intent, her voice turning ice-cold.

She issued an ultimatum to Damian Lynn, who was so constricted his eyes were about to roll back in his head:

"This is your final warning. Get out of my and Freya’s sight, and never show your face again!"

She paused, each word squeezed through clenched teeth, dripping with a bone-deep hatred:

"And remember this! From the moment the Cataclysmic Downpour began, when you took all the food in the house for that woman and threw us away like trash—from that moment on, you, Damian Lynn, were no longer our father! You don’t deserve to be!" ℯℯ𝑙.

Hearing Crystal Lynn’s resolute words, the surrounding crowd, who had just been watching for the entertainment, suddenly erupted into a flurry of discussion:

"My God! So that’s what happened! Is he even a man? My husband would starve and eat tree bark before he’d ever take a single bite of food from our kids!"

"Exactly! Didn’t you hear him calling them ’worthless girls’ just now? What century is this? Still so misogynistic. I think he’s gone crazy wanting a son!"

"Ugh, what a sin! Two strong, capable daughters like that... if he doesn’t cherish them, we will! Treating his own flesh and blood like that, he better watch out for karma!"

These comments stabbed at Damian Lynn’s heart like needles, but right now, he cared more about survival than saving face.

Feeling like his ribs were about to snap, he forced a plea for mercy from his throat:

"Let... let go... I get it... I’ll go... I’ll never appear before you again, I swear..."

Hearing him submit, Crystal Lynn felt the lesson had been taught. A portion of the bitter anger in her heart had been vented.

Not wanting to take things to the absolute extreme, she called out softly:

"Beau."

The intelligent White Spirit Snake immediately loosened its coils.

It slithered nimbly back to Crystal Lynn’s wrist, transforming back into the seemingly harmless white jade bracelet. Only its vertical pupils remained, locked coldly on Damian Lynn.

Watching these events unfold from the side, Seraphina Sullivan’s lips moved, but she ultimately chose to remain silent.

’It’s hard for an outsider to judge a family’s affairs,’ she thought. ’It really wasn’t her place to interfere.’

’But she had a feeling that for a man like Damian Lynn, a momentary threat probably wouldn’t be enough...’

However, no one could have predicted the sudden turn events were about to take!

Damian Lynn scrambled to his feet, coughing violently and feeling the pain that wracked his entire body.

He heard the undisguised, disdainful gossip and saw the mocking gazes from the crowd.

Seeing them all pointing and whispering, his pathetic, pitiful "male pride" once again began to burn with rabid intensity.

Damian Lynn felt that his reputation had been utterly trampled into the dirt by these two "worthless girls" today!

In Damian Lynn’s twisted perception, as his daughters, Crystal Lynn and Freya Lynn were born to be beaten and cursed by him. Even if he told them to die, they should be eternally grateful, because he was the one who gave them life.

But now, this daughter actually dared to resist him, dared to humiliate him like this!

This was a humiliation he, Damian Lynn, could not swallow.

Forcing himself to endure the intense pain, he feigned submission and turned, pretending to slink away in defeat.

The moment Crystal Lynn turned her back to the crowd, a flash of insane viciousness glinted in his eyes!

"Goddammit! You dare make me lose face! Go to hell!!"

He whipped a dagger that glinted with cold light from behind his back and, with all his might, stabbed viciously at Crystal Lynn’s heart.

His goal was clear: kill his daughter.

This sudden turn of events left everyone stunned!

"Sister—!!" Freya Lynn let out a heart-wrenching scream!

Crystal Lynn was a Player, after all. Her perception was far beyond that of a normal person, and she sensed the lethal danger behind her the instant the dagger cut through the air!

She dodged sideways on instinct!

"SQUELCH!"

The dagger missed her heart but slashed viciously across her left arm!

A gash deep enough to show bone instantly opened up. Warm blood gushed out like a fountain, immediately soaking half her sleeve in red!

Everyone was stunned by the bloody scene.

And at the exact moment Crystal Lynn was injured, Beau, who had remained vigilant, sensed its master’s injury and peril!

It no longer needed any command!

"HISSS—!"

A white shadow shot out like a bolt of vengeful lightning, moving at a speed the naked eye could barely follow. It lunged with unerring precision at Damian Lynn, whose face was still twisted in a savage grin from his attack.

Without hesitation, its fangs sank deep into Damian Lynn’s unprotected neck!

"AH—!"

Damian Lynn let out a horrifying shriek as the dagger fell to the ground with a CLANG.

He desperately clutched his neck, where two small puncture wounds were oozing dark red blood. At a visible rate, the blood began to blacken and harden.

Under the shocked, horrified, and perhaps even slightly pleased gazes of the onlookers, a terrifying petrification spread rapidly from the wound on his neck like a plague!

A grayish-white mottling first crept across the back of the hands clutching his neck, then up his arms and chest... His skin lost its elasticity, his muscles stiffened like iron, and his blood solidified into black, stone-like veins.

"Hkk... hkk... Save... save me! I don’t want to die!" Damian Lynn’s cries for help became hoarse and broken, filled with endless terror and regret.

He tried to reach out to the people around him with his petrifying hand, but the crowd surged backward like a receding tide with a collective WHOOSH, leaving a large empty space around him, terrified of being touched by the bizarre phenomenon.

The Petrification was too fast. The grayish-white color swiftly covered his face, forever freezing his final expression of terror and despair.

His voice stopped abruptly, and the light in his eyes was completely extinguished.

Finally, in just over ten seconds, a living man was transformed before everyone’s eyes into a grotesque, twisted stone statue.

The statue remained in a forward-leaning posture, as if pleading for help, but it had lost the life that supported it.
