Chapter 237: Chapter 237: System Suppressed, Rule Dungeon?

She selected the [Aberrant Radiation] Dungeon.

The key factor in this decision was the [Purification Set] that Seraphina Sullivan had obtained in the previous [Junkheap Ruins] Dungeon.

This set of equipment wasn’t just especially effective against "Junk Monsters."

The description of its "Power of Purification" explicitly mentioned that it could counter the "Pollution Power."

And based on Seraphina’s experiments within her Space,

radiation was classified under the same category!

With this set, her chances of survival in a radioactive environment and her advantage against aberrant creatures would be greatly increased.

Having made her choice, Seraphina raised her finger, about to tap the dark green [Aberrant Radiation] option box.

However, just as her fingertip was about to touch the screen, in that critical instant...

Something went terribly wrong!

[DING! A Player has been detected using a special item—Dungeon Connection Card!]

[DING! Based on the item’s Effect, all Players who survived the ’Junkheap Ruins’ Dungeon with the user will be forcibly linked and enter the next designated dungeon together!]

[DING! Connection complete! Player Seraphina Sullivan will now be forcibly transferred to the dungeon—Death Arena!]

’What?!’

Seraphina’s pupils constricted as alarm bells blared in her mind.

’A Dungeon Connection Card?’

’A forced connection?’

’Death Arena?!’

A barrage of unexpected information hailed down on her.

It gave Seraphina no time to react or refuse!

’It’s Yana Yates! It has to be him!’

The thought flashed through Seraphina’s mind like lightning.

Only that Level 5 Player with his strange methods, the one she’d made an enemy of in the Junkheap Ruins, would possess such a rare and targeted item. Only he would be so determined to get his revenge!

Not only had he prevented her from entering the [Aberrant Radiation] Dungeon she was well-prepared for, but he had dragged Seraphina directly into a dungeon that was clearly far more dangerous.

Death Arena!

The very name reeked of blood and slaughter!

In the next second, a powerful teleportation force, far stronger than any she had experienced before—strong enough to feel like it was tearing her soul from her body—instantly enveloped her!

This was unlike any other teleportation.

The scene before her shattered like a broken mirror. The RV, the farm Space, the safe zone... everything receded, blurred, and vanished in an instant!

During the process, Seraphina hit her head.

A wave of intense dizziness and weightlessness washed over her. Seraphina’s vision went black, and she completely lost consciousness.

...

"Wake up! Hey! Wake up! Tsk, why is the quality of the ’Tribute’ for this offering so poor? She looks so skinny and weak. How many rounds will she even last?"

An impatient voice grated against Seraphina’s eardrums like coarse sandpaper.

A piercing headache ripped her from the depths of unconsciousness.

It wasn’t an ordinary headache. It felt as if someone had brutally clubbed the back of her head with a blunt object, and her temples were throbbing violently.

After opening her eyes, Seraphina instinctively reached up to her aching forehead. She was met with a warm, wet sensation, followed by a sharp, stinging pain.

’What’s going on?’

She opened her palm and looked at it in the dim light. Her pupils instantly contracted.

Her hand was covered in glaring, crimson blood that had yet to fully clot!

’Blood?! I’m injured?!’

Alarmed, Seraphina struggled to sit up, only to find her entire body weak and sore.

She looked down at herself and saw that her clothes were filthy, covered in dirt and dried blood. Her arms and exposed skin were peppered with minor scrapes and bruises.

This was definitely not the state a Player should be in when entering a dungeon normally!

Before she could even begin to process the situation, the cage holding her creaked open.

A tall, vicious-looking man holding a barbed whip walked in.

He wore a uniform-like leather outfit, similar to a jailer’s, and his cold gaze swept over Seraphina as if he were inspecting an object.

"Awake? Then stop fucking playing dead!"

The man’s voice was coarse, filled with undisguised contempt.

"Since you were chosen as a ’Tribute,’ you should act like one! Trying to escape this Slaughter Game? In your dreams!"

As he spoke, he casually tossed a filthy, musty rag at Seraphina’s feet.

"Wipe the blood off your face! The ’Death Tour’ is about to begin. Looking like that, you’re not even fit to be cannon fodder for the opening act—it’s bad luck! Remember, your life isn’t your own right now, so don’t go thinking you can die easily!"

With that, the Guardian didn’t spare her another glance and turned to leave.

The heavy wooden door slammed shut, and the sound of a bolt sliding into place was clearly audible.

Seraphina was left alone in the small, dark cell, which reeked of mildew and blood.

She fought through the headache and physical discomfort, forcing herself to calm down and analyze the situation.

’So this is it... I’m in the ’Death Arena’ dungeon that Yana Yates chose?’

She recalled the cold system notifications just before she was forcibly teleported.

But her current circumstances were completely beyond her expectations!

Not only had she been mysteriously injured and imprisoned, but more importantly...

’System! Bring up the mission panel!’ Seraphina called out in her mind, wanting to see her mission for this dungeon.

However, when Seraphina called for the system, there was no response.

The system was as silent as a stone dropped into the ocean, not a single ripple in response.

’What’s wrong?! System! System! Answer me!’

A terrible premonition rose in Seraphina’s heart, and she shouted with growing panic.

But the Doomsday Game system remained silent.

Moreover, she tried to summon her own Power.

But she discovered that even her most fundamental [Worker] Talent seemed to be sealed, completely unresponsive!

Her Scavenger’s Farm skill wouldn’t activate, and her other Skills were unusable.

It was as if overnight, she had been stripped of everything, reduced to an ordinary, defenseless person!

The simultaneous failure of the system and Talents she relied on for survival threw Seraphina into an unprecedented state of panic!

Without these advantages, how was she supposed to survive in this obviously malicious "Death Arena"?!

Just as her mind reeled, on the verge of being consumed by terror...

An extremely faint and staticky system notification, as if heavily interfered with, sounded intermittently in her mind:

[DING! Detecting... Player... is in... Level 5 Rule... Dungeon... Death Arena...]

[Warning! Within a... Rule Dungeon... the system permissions of low-level Players... are suppressed... to their minimum... by the world’s rules...]

[Players below Level 5... all Talents... and Skills... are temporarily... unusable... in this dungeon!]

[DING! Issuing... the sole main quest... for this dungeon... Survive... for thirty days! Upon quest completion... you may... teleport back!]

[...Good... luck...]
