Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 128: Weapon Fusion, Philip Jensen’s Arrival
Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Weapon Fusion, Philip Jensen’s Arrival
As Seraphina Sullivan was excitedly sorting through her items in the Scavenger’s Farm, she unearthed two things she had momentarily forgotten from a pile of junk.
One was a [Spider Queen Poison Fang] that shimmered with a sinister, dark light. Beside it lay a faintly glowing card—the very [Weapon Fusion Card] she had obtained earlier.
[Spider Queen Poison Fang]
[Trait: Highly Poisonous, corrosion]
’I had two Poisonous Fangs in total. I let Flora absorb one, which gave it the [Poison Sting] Skill. Now there’s one left...’
Seraphina Sullivan held the cold Poisonous Fang, her gaze falling upon the [Weapon Fusion Card].
’Should I use it now?’
She hesitated. After all, she had already experienced the benefits of the Universal Fusion Card, and this Weapon Fusion Card was just as precious.
She wanted a more powerful weapon.
At this thought, the [Python Patterned Black Whip] materialized in her hand.
She gave it a few casual swings. The black whip cut through the air with a sharp CRACK, looking fierce and dangerous.
’Perfect!’ An idea formed in her mind.
’I can fuse this [Spider Queen Poison Fang] with the [Python Patterned Black Whip]! The whip can already stretch freely and is great for Binding. If it were imbued with a terrifying poison, its lethality would jump to a whole new level!’
No sooner said than done.
Seraphina Sullivan no longer hesitated. She immediately focused her mind, tightly gripping both the [Spider Queen Poison Fang] and the [Weapon Fusion Card] while fixing her intent on the [Python Patterned Black Whip].
’Use! Fusion targets: [Spider Queen Poison Fang] and [Python Patterned Black Whip]!’
An instant later, the [Weapon Fusion Card] in her hand erupted into a ball of fiery orange light, engulfing both the [Spider Queen Poison Fang] and the [Python Patterned Black Whip] like a miniature forge.
The two items rapidly dissolved and merged within the light. The fang’s dark hue and dangerous trait were meticulously etched into the body of the whip, becoming part of its very pattern.
The process was brief but dazzling.
When the light faded, a brand-new whip lay in Seraphina Sullivan’s hand.
The whip was still pitch-black, but upon closer inspection, the once dark-silver python patterns now held a faint but eerie, dark-green sheen, as if venom flowed within them.
The metal spike on the pommel had also grown sharper, glinting with a menacing, cold light.
[Weapon: Poisonous Python Black Whip]
[Effect One: Binding. After successfully coiling around and binding a target, this effect can be activated. The whip will instantly constrict, generating immense binding force and severely restricting the target’s movement.]
[Effect Two: Free Stretching and Shrinking. By infusing it with a small amount of spiritual power, the whip can be controlled to instantly extend or retract, with a maximum length of 100 meters.]
[Effect Three: Poisonous Fang Stabbing Kiss. The body of the whip conceals venom glands. When the spike at its tip or the barbs along its length (which can be extended or retracted by will) strike a target, they can inject a potent corrosive toxin, causing continuous, excruciating pain and tissue necrosis.]
Seraphina Sullivan gripped the now more dangerous and eerie Poison Whip, and a satisfied smile touched her lips as she sensed the terrifying power it contained.
’Now this is more like it!’
Gripping the new [Poisonous Python Black Whip] and feeling its greater power, Seraphina Sullivan silently resolved, ’Looks like I need to step up my training. In addition to practicing close-quarters combat and firearms, I have to add Whip Technique to the regimen... I need to figure out how to wield this thing with both precision and viciousness.’
Just as she was pondering whether to set aside an area in the Scavenger’s Farm as a training ground, a voice from the outside world reached her through Sean Chandler.
It was their prearranged warning signal.
Seraphina Sullivan immediately refocused her mind. With a thought, her form vanished from the Scavenger’s Farm and reappeared in her living room.
"What is it?" she asked, looking at Sean Chandler, who was keeping watch by the window.
Sean Chandler pointed out the window. "We’ve got company. Officials." His senses were far sharper than an ordinary person’s.
Seraphina Sullivan followed his gesture and saw a military-green assault boat cutting through the murky water, docking precisely at the base of their building.
Her eyesight was excellent, and she could immediately make out what the people on the boat were wearing.
They were all in crisp military uniforms, leaving no doubt as to their identity. They were clearly here to rescue Justin Brooks at Miss Webb’s request.
A flicker of understanding flashed in Seraphina Sullivan’s eyes. She focused her mind, and the [Eye of Resume] silently activated. Data on the individuals quickly materialized before her.
[Name: Philip Jensen]

’Looks like only the captain, Philip Jensen, is a Player. The other two are professional soldiers.’
’This setup is logical. Someone with a Special Ability to handle emergencies, and professionals to cover transport and first aid.’
"It must be the rescue team Miss Webb called," Seraphina Sullivan said in a low voice.
Sean Chandler nodded in agreement before sharing his thoughts. "I think we should get our story straight.
If they ask about how Justin Brooks’s injuries were treated, I can take credit for it. My presence can explain the unusually advanced sutures and treatment."
Seraphina Sullivan gave him an approving look. "Yes, you’ve thought this through. We’ll do that. You’re the most suitable person to deal with them. I’ll stay on the sidelines and act as needed."
This was exactly what she had planned.
Having him take the lead would not only provide a plausible explanation for how Justin Brooks survived such severe injuries, but it would also lay the groundwork for Sean’s potential future contact with the officials, perfectly aligning with their earlier plan.
"Alright, that’s the plan. Think about what you’re going to say ahead of time, and be ready to improvise."
The two quickly agreed on their story.
Clear, hurried footsteps and the low murmur of conversation drifted up from downstairs; the officials were coming up quickly.
Philip Jensen’s group had a clear objective. Led by Ronald Lynn, they moved swiftly through the flooded lower levels, taking the emergency stairwell straight to the top floor.
"Right this way, the thirty-second floor!" Ronald Lynn’s voice was laced with urgency.
Soon, they arrived at Justin Brooks’s door. Ronald Lynn immediately stepped forward and knocked, his raps sharp and urgent.
Susan Webb had been waiting anxiously by the door. Recognizing the voice as one of Justin Brooks’s teammates, she immediately opened it.
The moment the door opened, Philip Jensen’s worried voice spilled inside. "Miss Webb! How’s Justin Brooks? How bad are his injuries?"
"You’re finally here! Quick! Come in!" Seeing them was like seeing a savior. Susan Webb quickly stepped aside to let the three men in, her voice choked with sobs and residual fear.
