Chapter 93: Chapter 93: I Need Your Help

[Balance: 504,333]

Derrick did not even think before buying 400 pills from the system directly.

200 of them were Raging Tiger Pill and 200 for the Basic Recovery Pill.

The purity of the pills varied.

He bought 100-40% purity pills for each. 80-50% purity pills and finally 20-60% pills.

The total came to him nearly two million social credits.

"They will last me for a while." Derrick thought to himself as he waited for the air carrier to arrive.

Once the flying device took off with all of his merchandise, Derrick returned to his room and uploaded the names of the few unranked pills he had Beth create.

Derrick did not instantly add the pills to sell. Unlike the previous pills, he had not done enough promotions for this brand.

He decided against promoting using Ai this time.

Nothing hits better than the real thing. Derrick decided it was time he hired a famous normal celebrity to promote his serums and Creams.

Derrick didn’t bother hunting down an influencer himself.

He just dumped the whole headache straight into Cassie’s lap.

She was practically bouncing off the walls when he handed it over.

With her school break right around the corner, she was more than happy to have something actual to do.

"Oh, and when you look for one, don’t reveal your name or mine. Just use the company mail and name. I don’t want anything connecting to us."

That worried Cassie a little. "Is it something illegal?"

Even as she asked that, her hands did not pause which showed she did not care either way.

"It is not but these days even something legal is illegal in the eyes of others." She did not understand what he meant by those words but eventually she would come to realize it in the future.

...

Before Derrick even realized how fast the days were slipping away, a full month had passed since he landed in this messed-up world.

A whole month of grinding, slinging pills, dodging syndicate eyes, and pushing his flesh to the absolute limit.

Now, he was finally sitting at the absolute peak of the Physical Strengthening Realm.

The air inside the Train Hoe Fitness gym was calming and grassy. Even though many people broke sweat in that place, but the expensive purifying and freshening system kept everything clean and fresh all the time.

Derrick stood dead center in the ring, his eyes locked onto Keira.

She was wearing a tight-as-hell gym set that stuck to every curve of her body, showing off the lean, dangerous muscle hidden underneath.

Without a word of warning, Keira stepped in and threw a lightning-fast straight right straight for his nose.

"You doing it today?" she asked, voice dead casual as her fist cut the air.

Derrick slipped his head to the side, letting her knuckles graze his hair.

He lunged in, snapping his hand out to grab her wrist and pin her down.

At the same time, his eyes moved to look at something.

Keira yanked her arm back instantly, slipping out of his reach like grease.

Derrick didn’t waste a second trying to reset.

He dropped his weight low, sweeping his leg around in a nasty, hard kick meant to chop her legs out from under her.

"It’s time," Derrick grunted.

Keira didn’t even flinch.

Instead of backing off, she just hopped straight up, letting his leg swing uselessly beneath her.

But...

That was exactly what Derrick wanted.

The second her feet left the mat, Derrick planted his palm, spun on a dime, and drove a wild hurricane kick right at her upper body.

In midair, with zero leverage, Keira casually slapped every single hit away.

PAK! PAK! PAK!

The back of her hand hit his shins hard, deflecting his raw force like he was a little kid throwing a tantrum.

"Call me if there’s any complications," she said calmly but if one looked closely, they would see a faint smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

Before Derrick could even finish his spin, her fingers snapped around his wrist mid-motion.

His hand had been sneaking up from the side where her vision was limited and yet she saw it coming long before it arrived.

Honestly, it wasn’t clear if he was going for her throat or her chest, but Keira didn’t give a single shit either way.

She twisted her grip, locking his arm behind his back before pressing her figure against him from behind.

"Your instincts are very dull even though you have good battle knowledge by now. You cannot compensate this with just fighting me. You need proper life and death battles."

Saying her piece, she finally released him and backed away.

"I know. Even if I fight the monsters in the wilderness, it won’t be enough unless they are as powerful as me or more."

That meant, a captain level beast or above.

Even though Derrick had not reached the Enhanced Being Stage, he was already in that realm in terms of sheer prowess.

During this time, he had been through a qualitative and quantitative leap in strength.

If he faced the goons from Beth’s shop again, he won’t need Keira or sneak attacks to defeat them.

But that was no longer possible since they were already dead.

"You—" before she could finish her words, Keira frowned.

Buzz!

Her phone lying at the corner of the ring was buzzing. She walked up to it and picked it up with a frown on her face. "What do you want?"

"Ha?! Are you dumb? Is the space above your head just for show?"

"I will talk however I want."

"You know nothing. Why would you call that quack?"

"Fuck off. I will be right there, don’t do anything before I get there." Without waiting for a response from the other side, she cut off the phone and turned to see Derrick looking at her with worry and curiosity.

"Something happened?" He asked before, slowly walking up to her. "I have never seen you so tense."

He can tell that. Keira was shocked to hear that but she did not think much about it.

Her eyes suddenly flickered with faint light as she thought. Maybe, if it’s him, he can do it.

She finally opened her mouth and said, "Derrick, I need your help. If it’s not possible, you can reject it.

But...

If you can do it, I will do anything—"

"What are you saying." Derrick closed the distance between them and took her hand in his, giving it a firm squeeze. "You have already done so much for me. Tell me, if it’s something in my power, I will do it without hesitation."

Keira’s eyes shook with emotions as she heard those heartfelt words. She could feel his sincerity in those words. "I need..."
