"What a talent he has." Keira watched Derrick from the top of a ten story building as he move like a seasoned warrior. Despite the distance, she saw every movement he made.

From the first moment he pulled the trigger, she had been watching him.

She saw how he at first he missed a lot of shots at first.

"Hmmm..." The moment Derrick pulled out a pill from thin air, she narrowed her eyes. Instead of thinking about where he got the pill. She was more interested in the effects of the pill.

She took a step into the air and appeared beside Derrick.

"How did you know?" Derrick asked innocently. Since he felt like he could not hide something like, he asked openly.

"Are you an idiot?" For the first time, Keira raised her voice. The anger in her eyes was real. Even when he had mocked her and smacked her in the ass, she did not look this angered.

"Do you not know what are the side effects of such forbidden pill?" Seeing the clueless look in Derrick’s eyes, her voice lowered but the anger remained.

"They are forbidden because each enlightenment pill consume 10 years of your lifespan in exchange for 10 minutes of deep focus and enhanced learning. Not only that taking one pill can lower your talent by a fraction."

"I knew you were reckless, but I did not think you were this much of an idiot."

After hearing her explanation, Derrick finally understood why she was getting so angry at him.

She had thought the pill he had taken was the same as those forbidden pills.

"It seems, I made a rash decision about taking you as my stu—"

"I think, you are misunderstanding something here." Before she could finish, Derrick interrupted her.

"The pill I took does not have any side effects and I can stay in enlightened state for a longer time."

He even spread his arms and said, "if you don’t believe me. How about checking me?"

Keira brows knitted together. After a second of thinking she waved her hand. The ring on her forefinger shined before a small device appeared in her hands.

"What does that mean?" Derrick looked at the number in confusion.

Keira did not answer him instantly. The breath she had been holding for a while now finally escaped her lips.

"This is your lifespan." She said before storing the device away. "With every breakthrough you gain an additional 20 years of lifespan until you reach Enhanced Being Realm."

She looked at Derrick with a stranger look in her eyes.

"Your normal lifespan should have been around 150 years but it’s greater than that. Either you have been born with an exceptional physique or those were some great PEDs you got your hands on."

A flicker of complicated look appeared in Keira’s eyes before it disappeared.

Seeing the look, Derrick hesitated before opening his mouth. "I know someone who knows how to create pills no one else can and before you ask me, I cannot introduce you two."

"Tch. As expected. Keep your secrets brats. But if someone found about the effects of the pill you took, they would do anything to you or your family to get their hands on it."

Keira did not know what the warm feeling she was feeling in her heart at the moment but she was struggling to keep a smile on her face.

Derrick understood her meaning and nodded.

But then he asked something that surprised her as well. "Are there any other missions like this?"

Seeing the stunned look on her face, Derrick chuckled.

"The effects of the pills will last for a while and I have not even used a quarter of it in that last battle."

A flicker of understanding flashed through Keira’s eyes. A maddening grin appeared on her face as she said, "Did you think we were done with just one raid?"
