The demons had observed the death of their companion.

They had also understood that approaching Bai Qingyue individually was an extremely dangerous decision.

Four more Demon Kings advanced simultaneously.

Two emerged from opposite sides of the ruined battlefield, each wielding a massive, jagged scythe formed from compressed blood and condensed demonic energy. The weapons radiated an unsettling aura, and every movement caused their curved edges to release thin streams of crimson mist.

The remaining two possessed stranger bodies.

Their physical forms continuously shifted between dense flesh and acidic vapor, allowing them to pass through narrow openings and evade many conventional attacks. They descended toward the Golden Immortal Beast’s neck, intending to attack the mount rather than engage Bai Qingyue directly.

The strategy was straightforward.

If the beast lost control of its spatial abilities, the entire group would become more vulnerable to attacks from the surrounding demons. Even if Bai Qingyue could kill several opponents, she would be forced to divide her attention between protecting her companions and maintaining control of the battlefield.

The Weapon Spirit recognized their intentions immediately.

Master, they are attempting to divide your attention. Two targets are approaching Ku Ming’s blind spot, while the other two are targeting the Golden Immortal Beast. If the beast is seriously injured, our ability to maneuver through the spatial distortions will be compromised.

Bai Qingyue’s gaze swept across the approaching demons.

"I see them."

She lowered her stance and planted her feet firmly against the beast’s golden scales. The Sun Shooting Bow shifted smoothly in her hands as she prepared to release several attacks in rapid succession.

The first blood-scythe wielder was already raising its weapon.

The second had begun gathering energy around its body, preparing to accelerate toward Ku Ming from behind.

The two mist-form demons were closing in on the Golden Immortal Beast’s neck.

Bai Qingyue drew the string.

THWIP! THWIP! THWIP!

Three solar arrows erupted from the bow within a single breath.

The first projectile intercepted the blood-scythe wielder on the right. Its weapon rose to block the incoming attack, but the solar arrow struck the curved blade with enough force to shatter the compressed blood energy sustaining it.

The scythe broke apart.

The arrow continued forward, cutting through the demon’s defensive aura before striking its shoulder. A burst of white fire consumed the surrounding flesh, and the creature screamed as its entire arm was severed from its body.

Its momentum collapsed, sending it tumbling backward through the air.

The second and third arrows targeted the mist-form demons.

The two creatures had expected their semi-ethereal bodies to provide protection against ordinary physical attacks. They attempted to disperse as the projectiles approached, allowing their bodies to dissolve into clouds of corrosive vapor.

The Sun Shooting Bow’s arrows did not care.

The concentrated solar plasma spread through the vapor, igniting the corrosive particles and turning the surrounding mist into a mass of white fire. Both Demon Kings shrieked as their bodies combusted, their attempts to reform interrupted by the overwhelming heat.

They crashed toward the Golden Immortal Beast.

Ku Ming immediately raised his hands.

Golden Buddhist light erupted around his body, forming a protective barrier that expanded across the beast’s back. The two burning demons struck the barrier and exploded into showers of black ash, their remaining demonic energy dissolving beneath the purifying radiance.

However, the fourth Demon King had taken advantage of the brief distraction.

It was an emaciated creature with hollow eyes, elongated limbs, and a body that seemed almost unnaturally thin. Its movements were jerky and difficult to predict, allowing it to change direction repeatedly without losing speed.

Rather than attacking Bai Qingyue directly, it had concealed its approach behind the other demons’ movements.

Now that the mist-form enemies had drawn Ku Ming’s attention, the emaciated Demon King surged forward.

Its blood-scythe rose above its head.

"Die, bald monk!"

The weapon descended toward Ku Ming’s neck, carrying enough concentrated demonic power to cut through ordinary protective formations.

Ku Ming’s golden eyes flashed.

The Indestructible Karmic Wheel appeared before him, its golden surface rotating as it prepared to intercept the attack. However, even the monk understood that the incoming strike was dangerous. The Demon King had exploited the narrow interval between Bai Qingyue’s attacks, and the angle of its approach made a perfect defense difficult.

Before Ku Ming could complete the movement, Bai Qingyue acted.

She had no time to draw the string fully and prepare another concentrated solar arrow. Instead, she shifted her grip on the Sun Shooting Bow, seized the weapon’s dark star-iron frame with both hands, and lunged forward.

The bow became a staff.

Bai Qingyue swung it toward the descending blood-scythe, using the weapon’s physical weight and the force of her movement to intercept the attack.

CLANG!

The collision produced a deafening metallic impact.

The emaciated Demon King’s eyes widened as its scythe struck the ancient star-iron. The weapon had been forged from the compressed blood of countless cultivators and reinforced with demonic formations, yet it shattered instantly against the bow’s unyielding frame.

Fragments of crimson metal scattered across the sky.

The residual heat radiating from the Sun Shooting Bow scorched the demon’s hands, forcing it to recoil. Its expression shifted from murderous confidence to genuine disbelief as it realized that its supposedly decisive attack had been stopped by the physical body of Bai Qingyue’s weapon.

Bai Qingyue did not allow it to recover.

"My turn."

She stepped backward, rotated the bow into position, and placed her fingers against the plasma string. The Weapon Spirit responded instantly, drawing solar energy into the artifact and condensing it into an arrow.

At such close range, the Demon King had almost no time to react.

Bai Qingyue released the string.

The solar arrow struck directly through its skull.

A blinding flash swallowed the demon’s head and upper torso, leaving behind a headless body that continued moving for a brief moment before collapsing. The corpse dropped from the sky and struck the ruined courtyard below with a heavy impact.

The entire exchange had lasted only a few breaths!
