[Felix noticed that Lucas was deliberately avoiding him, and even in their daily interactions, he had become colder than before.

There were other military females in the dining hall, and their eyes nearly popped out of their heads at the sight.

Lucas himself noticed nothing unusual and naturally took a seat across from Felix.

Felix looked at the spread, which was slightly more elaborate than their usual meals, and was quite happy overall.

Felix grumbled inwardly as he silently stabbed his fork into a red fruit on his plate.

The change in Major General Lucas’s attitude wasn’t obvious, but Felix could feel it.

The sudden increase in his workload was one thing. Whenever Felix tried to catch Lucas leaving for morning training or sought him out for a meal after finishing work, he frequently came up empty-handed.

Once or twice could be blamed on bad luck.

But after it happened repeatedly, Felix would have to be unbelievably slow not to realize that Lucas was deliberately avoiding him.

Yet Felix couldn’t figure out what had gone wrong.

Everything had still been fine when Lucas invited him to the hot spring... Even after they finished bathing, when Lucas told him to change clothes, his attitude had still been perfectly normal. Lucas had even given Felix the access key and treated him to biscuits and fruit...

So why had everything suddenly changed?

Lucas’s head started aching.

There really was no need for him to like Felix any more.

At this rate, something was going to happen.

The whole situation was so difficult that it gave Lucas a headache.

Before this, he had even specifically searched StarNet for “how to make a female Zerg who likes the same sex become straight.”

The answers on StarNet were all over the place. One highly upvoted answer said, “Try taking some medicine.”

Clinging to a sliver of hope, Lucas followed the link and bought the medicine the commenter had specified.

Then he discovered that the medicine contained Male Zerg pheromones.

He wanted something that would “make a female Zerg straight”!

He wasn’t trying to make a female Zerg get hard down there!

Lucas was so furious that he reported the highly upvoted answer that very night, downvoted it, and left a negative review for good measure.

Naturally, Lucas didn’t dare give the medicine to Felix. The whole incident became a piece of dark history that he permanently sealed away.

Admittedly, if he gave those pheromones to Felix, perhaps Felix would experience how wonderful Male Zergs were and abandon his previous mistaken ideas.

But as Felix’s commanding officer, Lucas really couldn’t bring himself to hand over that sort of medicine.

The best solution was actually to get Felix to date a Male Zerg.

A Male Zerg was the best solution.

But Felix wasn’t willing...

Lucas had run out of options. He could only continue with his previous strategy.

Avoid Felix whenever possible. Reduce their contact. Give Felix more assignments. Fill every moment of Felix’s time with work and missions so that he wouldn’t have any energy left to think about female Zergs or romance.

At the beginning of the following month, Lucas personally led a routine extermination mission targeting the Parasite Planet.

Felix volunteered to accompany them.

Lucas hesitated for a moment before agreeing and allowing Felix to bring a small squad along.

Since Felix had already come to Silver Fortress, he needed to familiarize himself with the surrounding planets and environment eventually. Nothing could help him understand everything faster than personally participating in a mission.

The Parasite Planet, designated JS0583, was a rare planet with exceptionally beautiful natural scenery. Many fruits favored by Male Zergs and various other cash crops were cultivated there.

In theory, it was even a planet well suited to developing a tourism industry. However, because it was inhabited by parasitic organisms that were extremely difficult to eradicate completely, the planet had never been truly developed.

Having robotic Zergs handle the planting and management was already the limit. The Zerg race still had to periodically dispatch nearby troops to exterminate the parasites.

This assignment generally fell to Silver Fortress.

Lucas explained the situation to Felix separately:

“The air on the Parasite Planet is filled with spores capable of parasitism. Any plant or animal can potentially become infected. Healthy adult female Zergs normally don’t need to worry about it, but you... still need to be careful.”

Felix’s heart skipped a beat.

For an instant, he almost thought Lucas had discovered something.

Then he saw the Major General looking at him with a complicated expression as he said,

“Your constitution is too weak. Hot water below 100°C is enough to turn your skin red. I seriously doubt whether your physical strength even reaches the average level for an A-rank female Zerg. Remember to wear your protective suit properly.”

Felix: “...Yes.”

If another female Zerg had been told something like that, he would have felt looked down upon and indignantly tried to prove himself.

But Felix, whose constitution had just been looked down upon, merely trudged away dejectedly.

Lucas gave Felix an appreciative glance, admiring his attitude.

Humility and caution were among Felix’s strengths. He had never been a reckless Zerg.
