I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 89: Myriad Phenomena: Blackout!

"Su Mu, you really are ruthless. To think you could turn the tables as the sole survivor of the Angel Faction, leading our Demon Faction into such a slaughter." Tie Feng's face was half-rotted away. As he stared at a smiling Su Mu, whose hands were drenched in blood, a deep chill crept into his heart.

This was undoubtedly the most dangerous opponent he had ever faced in his life. The danger did not lie in the man's raw strength, but in his cunning mind and bizarre methods.

Single-handedly, he had nearly wiped out the Demon Believers despite their overwhelming advantage.

"Stop wasting your breath on him. Attack!" A crimson chain of molten magma lashed out at Su Mu.

The next moment, Su Mu's figure shattered like a bubble.

"Damn it! It's an Illusion Technique again. Without Xie Quan, breaking his Illusion Technique is going to be incredibly difficult."

"Don't panic," Tie Feng said urgently. "Even if our hearing isn't a match for Xie Quan's, it still far exceeds an ordinary person's. Focus your minds and listen closely, and you'll definitely hear his footsteps!"

The two men immediately held their breath, straining their ears to catch the slightest rustle of the wind.

And sure enough, they heard something!

Breathing. There was breathing all around them. Wait, something was wrong! Why were there four sets of breathing?!

"Ahhh!" The man controlling the chains suddenly let out a miserable shriek. Alarmed, Tie Feng quickly looked over and was struck with utter horror.

Half a snow-bright blade was protruding straight through the man's chest!

And standing behind him was none other than the already dead Jun Wushang!

Not just Jun Wushang—even Yang Dongqing and that ordinary person had come back to life.

"You... you!" Tie Feng was both shocked and furious. How could he fail to see that they had faked their deaths earlier just to coordinate with Su Mu? The only thing he couldn't figure out was why. They were clearly in the Demon Faction—weren't they just digging their own graves?

At some point, a spotless Su Mu had emerged from behind a stone wall. His Snakewood Cane tapped gently against the ground, his footsteps light and elegant.

"Tie Feng, I can give you a chance to live. Submit or die," Su Mu said mildly. "You don't need to worry about the curse. If you choose to submit, I will help you transition to the Angel Faction."

After saying this, he signaled Yang Dongqing and the others with his eyes, and they revealed the burn marks on their bodies.

He had not planned on subjugating both men. Humans were the sort of creatures that would never be honest unless pushed to the absolute brink, their hearts constantly harboring all sorts of ulterior motives. Furthermore, compared to the user of the Blazing Sun Chains, Tie Feng—at Bronze 3—was clearly far more valuable to recruit.

Tie Feng's face was grim, his eyes flickering constantly. "What is the method to change factions?"

"Hypnosis. As long as you accept my hypnosis, I can help you change factions."

"Hypnosis?" At the word, Tie Feng's heart plummeted straight to rock bottom. "You forced me into this desperate state, and now you want me to submit?"

Su Mu shrugged indifferently. "You're already used to being a dog for the nobles anyway. What difference does it make whose dog you are?"

"I'll fucking kill you!" Tie Feng went completely berserk, charging at Su Mu like a human tank. Every step he took left a dense, cobweb-like network of cracks in the ground.

"Tsk, tsk." Su Mu shook his head in exasperation. "A perfectly good living person, yet you insist on seeking your own death."

The next moment, he took off his Tinted Glasses. His profound eyes suddenly flared with azure light, dyeing them a crystalline blue.

[Myriad Phenomena]. Blackout!

Whoosh!

Tie Feng's vision went black. It was as if an invisible black cloth had been draped over his eyes, turning him completely blind.

This was one of the applications of [Myriad Phenomena]. Since it was an Illusion Technique that manipulated vision, naturally, it could also strip vision away.

"Ah! I want you dead!!" Blinded, Tie Feng was like a maddened beast, frantically swinging his fists. Wherever he went, walls and stone pillars were smashed to powder, yet he could not manage to hit Su Mu.

Su Mu's real body had already hidden far away, watching Tie Feng go mad.

He had not used the dark shadow, Bubai, because Bubai had not yet finished digesting Xie Quan. Perhaps because it was its first time devouring a transcendent, the digestion process was exceptionally slow.

Of course, he was not worried that Xie Quan might make it out alive. Bubai's abilities were bizarre; unless someone knew the method to break the Dark Illusion Realm in advance, what normal person would keep their eyes closed and let Bubai drag them away?

"Su Mu, what do we do next?" Yang Dongqing asked with some worry, his eyes glued to the thrashing Tie Feng. He knew the truth about Su Mu—a complete invalid who relied entirely on hypnosis and Illusion Techniques. Tie Feng might be blinded right now, but killing the man was fundamentally impossible with non-offensive Illusion Techniques alone.

He had the heart to help, but his hands had been broken by Tie Feng earlier. Having basically lost his combat ability, going up there would just be serving himself on a platter.

Jun Wushang gripped his longsword tightly and seemed about to step forward, but he was stopped by Su Mu.

"Watch closely." He smiled faintly, then pulled a silver-white revolver from his waist. Its barrel was thick and long, resembling a baby's arm.

Yang Dongqing paused in surprise. "Isn't this the gun Sonic Kid was using earlier? At the time, Tie Feng mentioned something about a Mithril Bullet. When did you get it?"

Su Mu did not answer. Instead, he took out a white handkerchief and carefully wiped down the silver-white handgun. He disliked using things others had used, so he needed to wipe off the sweat and fingerprints on it first.

Soon, having finished wiping it down, he gently raised the silver-white handgun and aimed at the rampaging Tie Feng in the center of the area.

Bang!

A massive gunshot rang out, and a bloom of blood exploded over Tie Feng's heart. He crashed heavily to the ground. Blinded, he unleashed a harrowing scream; driven by the instinct to survive, he hugged his head tightly to protect his vitals and struggled to climb back up.

Bang!

Another shot struck his right chest. This shot seemed to shatter his spine, sending him crashing to the ground once more, his hands falling limply.

Bang!

The final shot hit his skull. A bloody hole instantly appeared on his head, and all movement came to an abrupt halt. All fell silent.

Tie Feng had died!

With this, the Demon Faction was entirely wiped out.

Looking at Tie Feng's tragic death, Jun Wushang revealed a look of pity and shook his head repeatedly. "Two shots to the body and one to the head; even immortals would despair."

Combat was just that simple. By expending merely a negligible sliver of mental energy and three bullets, Su Mu had directly or indirectly killed several transcendents, including a Bronze 3.

With Tie Feng's death, the burn marks on their bodies vanished completely.

Fuu!

Su Mu blew on the muzzle, which was still emitting white smoke, and a satisfied smile curled the corners of his mouth. "Not an Artifact, yet it possesses power comparable to an Artifact. Is this a Mithril Bullet? You belong to me from now on. I'll call you Silver-White Rose."

He twirled the gun in his hand, then holstered Silver-White Rose in his waistband.

"What is a Mithril Bullet?" Yang Dongqing asked, eyeing Silver-White Rose with some envy. This gun could actually ignore Tie Feng's body of steel; its power was simply extraordinary!

Su Mu shot him a glance. "It's written in the Bronze Coffin's transcendent archives. Go back and read it yourself."
