I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 504: The Primal Angel Awakens

Void turbulence of the spatial element, time acceleration of the temporal element, causality inversion of the fate element, along with devouring, decomposition, and so on...

As for the most common elements of wind, fire, thunder, and lightning, they came to him as easily as breathing.

If there was one word to describe Wuming, it was versatile. He was truly far too versatile.

He could have finished off Zero all by himself, yet he chose to play a supporting role. He let the Warrior Monk and Huangquan lead the assault while he assisted from the flanks.

Did he want to avoid being injured by Zero's dying counterattack? Or did he simply enjoy the thrill of toying with his prey?

Su Mu pondered this in secret. Looking at Wuming's calm expression, he suspected it was neither; Wuming didn't seem like that kind of person.

Right at that moment, an unexpected change occurred!

A bizarre hum echoed through the void. Grand and deafening, it drowned out every other sound in the world. It violently barged into everyone's eardrums, tearing them apart with ease before drilling straight into their souls.

Su Mu frowned slightly. He lightly brushed his hands past his ears, and his ruptured eardrums instantly healed.

He looked up toward the Primal Angel high above the dome. In an instant, that massive, star-like cocoon of light erupted with billions of radiant beams of holy light.

For a moment, it felt as though they were staring point-blank into a burning star!

Searing, stabbing pain ravaged their eyes. Trails of bloody tears leaked from everyone's sockets as their vision completely blurred.

Only Zero cried out in feverish excitement, "Great Primal Angel, you have finally awakened! Have you come to save your devout people?"

The Primal Angel did not respond. The holy light radiating from its body only grew more blinding. The surrounding space-time was disrupted by this higher-dimensional power, spawning countless spatial folds.

Gravity in the area fell into chaos. The corpses of the 100,000 cultists scattered across the ground bizarrely floated into the air, hanging upside down in the sky like 100,000 inverted hanged men.

Blood continuously dripped from their bodies, but instead of falling to the earth, it dripped upward into the sky. Countless fine droplets gathered above, condensing into a lake of blood.

"God! God! O Great God..." Zero trembled as he stumbled toward the Primal Angel. His figure gradually blurred, and specks of light drifted from his body to merge with the Primal Angel.

Before he could take more than two steps, his body vanished completely, returning entirely to the Primal Angel.

Right up until his death, Zero believed that his god had come to save him, and that he was the one who had awakened the Primal Angel.

However, Su Mu knew perfectly well that the Primal Angel had awakened solely because this clash of demigods and the war involving 100,000 believers had disturbed it.

Compared to prayer, the commotion caused by war was obviously much greater.

'Was this your goal all along, Wuming?'

Just moments ago, Su Mu had been wondering why Wuming hadn't finished Zero off as quickly as possible. Now, he had his answer. Perhaps Wuming's true goal had been to awaken the Primal Angel all along.

But why?

Could it be that Wuming was the real traitor?

Su Mu dismissed the idea. If the master of the Temple of God Slaying was a traitor to humanity, the organization would have been wiped out long ago. It never would have survived to this day.

"The Primal Angel is waking up!" For the first time, a look of shock surfaced on Huangquan's otherwise expressionless little face.

Only the members of the Temple of God Slaying, who dealt with gods on a regular basis, truly understood the terrifying weight behind those words.

An awakened god was enough to plunge the entire world into ruin.

"We're doomed! We're dead! We're totally dead this time!" the Warrior Monk yelled in an exaggerated manner, yet his eyes betrayed nothing but endless solemnity.

Wuming furrowed his brows. "It hasn't fully awakened yet! Seal it!"

As he spoke, he suddenly looked toward Su Mu. "Pride, use your Illusion Technique to keep the Primal Angel asleep. We cannot let a god awaken!"

Su Mu's eyes flickered. Had he guessed wrong? Did Wuming not intentionally awaken the Primal Angel just now? If he had, why try to seal it now?

He took off his Tinted Glasses. An endless, crystalline blue light burst from his deep eyes. The brilliance pierced through the heavens and the earth, illuminating the Primal Angel.

Pushing his Illusion Technique to its absolute limit, he managed to briefly calm the Primal Angel's stirrings, though he couldn't suppress it entirely.

He didn't need Wuming to tell him twice. He would have sealed the Primal Angel anyway, because letting a god awaken was not in his best interest. Strictly speaking, every god was his enemy.

"Eight Million Underworld Hosts!" Huangquan formed a bizarre series of hand seals with her delicate, pale hands. Her hollow eyes were instantly filled with a dark, eerie gleam, turning into pitch-black voids devoid of all light.

The next moment, the earth trembled violently. One after another, ghastly corpses with livid faces clawed their way out of the ground like zombies. They were so densely packed that they nearly swallowed the entire landscape.

A thick aura of death filled the air, transforming the area into something resembling Hell.

The eight million dead roared in unison. Specks of eerie light drifted from their bodies, converging into a massive torrent that surged toward the Primal Angel to suppress it.

The Warrior Monk also made his move. Sitting cross-legged, he pressed his palms together and laid his Bronze Staff across his chest. Tightly shutting his eyes, he chanted a continuous stream of scriptures. A Red Lotus of Karmic Fire slowly bloomed from beneath him, casting a bewitching crimson glow that blanketed the world.

Under the combined suppression of two demigods and Su Mu, the Primal Angel's awakening noticeably slowed, yet they couldn't halt the process entirely.

It seemed the Primal Angel's awakening was inevitable.

As they maintained the suppression, Su Mu kept a close eye on Wuming to see what the man's true intentions were. To his surprise, Wuming genuinely seemed intent on stopping the Primal Angel from waking up.

Abruptly, a cyan orb of light materialized behind Wuming, quickly followed by red, orange, and blue ones...

More and more orbs appeared until hundreds of multi-colored spheres floated in the air. Every single orb represented a unique and distinct power.

These hundreds of unique powers wove together into a massive net that descended to suppress the Primal Angel.

Counting him, four demigods in total had taken action to suppress the Primal Angel. The holy light radiating from the entity dimmed sharply, flickering like a candle in the wind on the verge of going out.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief. But before they could even catch their breath, the three hundred and sixty silver eyes on the massive cocoon of light suddenly began weeping quicksilver-like tears.

In an instant, the holy light flared violently!

"This is bad! The Primal Angel's consciousness is awakening! It is consciously resisting our suppression!" Huangquan cried out.

Su Mu narrowed his eyes. It seemed the Primal Angel's awakening was truly irreversible. If that was the case, his plan to find the Xuantian Origin would have to change.

Right at that moment, Wuming slowly ascended into the sky. He stood high above the firmament, calmly watching the stirring Primal Angel.

He brought his palms together. "With Heaven and Earth as the guide, all laws return to their source."

Ooom!!

High above the endless dimensions, brilliant stars began to emerge one after another. The starlight between them linked together, forming a colossal net that shrouded all of creation.

Seeing this giant starlight net, Su Mu's eyes flickered. This was... the Bronze Law!

Wuming had actually mobilized the entire Bronze Law?

"As Yin and Yang intersect, spiritual resonance is boundless."

As his voice fell, an even larger net emerged, completely overriding the Bronze Law. It was none other than... the Silver Law!

"Law arises from a single thought, and all phenomena are born from within."

Ooom!

The Gold Law appeared.

But Wuming still wasn't done. Starlight swirled in his eyes as he stated calmly, "Three thousand laws, heed my command!"

In an instant, heaven and earth inverted. The Saint Law, a power even higher than the Gold Law, abruptly intruded upon the mortal realm.

At that moment, the Stars of Law dazzled the world. Heaven and earth resonated as all laws sang in unison!

"Seal!"

Like a high and mighty god, Wuming pointed a single finger across the void at the Primal Angel.

The massive net formed by the four great laws descended from the heavens, firmly ensnaring the Primal Angel and sealing it within.
