I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 422: Today, This King Will Cull the Seven Deadly Sins!

  • Next Chapter

The Dragon King's lips curled into a cruel smirk. "This king won't stoop to using weapons to bully an unarmed man. Besides, you aren't qualified to witness the Sword of Royal Power."

"It seems your confidence has swollen right alongside your height," Su Mu said coolly.

An insult was a waste of breath if it didn't hit a nerve. Height had always been the Dragon King's greatest insecurity, an absolute taboo that no one dared mention.

At those words, the Dragon King erupted in thunderous fury. "You have a death wish! Today, this king will cull the Seven Deadly Sins!"

The golden dragon wings on his back snapped open with a violent flap. Bang! A sonic boom shattered the air.

A fist encased in golden dragon scales hurtled toward Su Mu's face. The tyrannical power erupted like an ancient volcano waking from its slumber, dragging a gale in its wake that left the entire grand hall trembling on the verge of collapse.

Facing that devastating punch, a smile tugged at Su Mu's lips. He had been looking to test the absolute limits of this mortal body, and the Dragon King—renowned for a physique forged by dragon blood—made the perfect test subject.

Without dodging or retreating, he threw a punch of his own. A surging, murderous aura skyrocketed from his frame, casting him in the image of an abyssal demon god. The terrifying physique he had gained through repeated wishes to Supreme Heaven erupted without a single ounce of restraint.

The next second, their knuckles collided.

Boom!!!

A deafening blast detonated inside the hall with apocalyptic force.

The clash was like two meteors slamming together. Rampant power immediately exploded outward, unleashing a massive shockwave from the epicenter of their fists that swept in every direction.

The walls of the grand hall couldn't withstand the impact. They shuddered violently as a web of cracks rapidly spidered across the stone. With a deafening rumble, the entire structure caved in on itself.

The horrifying scale of the collision left the nearby guards utterly dumbfounded, an awe quickly followed by zealous reverence for the Dragon King's might!

But when their eyes locked onto the Dragon King, their expressions froze.

Of the two fists locked in that brutal stalemate, one suddenly ruptured. Joints and tendons blew apart into a fine mist of shattered bone and spraying blood.

Countless fragments of golden dragon scales showered across the floor.

Su Mu's fist drove straight through the ruined guard and slammed mercilessly into the Dragon King's chest.

Bang!

Under the horrified gazes of the crowd, the undisputed strongest man in the world, the invincible Dragon King, let out an agonized shriek. He was sent flying backward like a cannonball.

Boom, boom, boom...

He plowed through dozens of palace buildings in a row, crashing through wall after wall until he finally smashed into the outer ramparts of the Imperial Palace. He ground to a halt amid a towering cloud of dust.

A horrifying, miles-long trench had been gouged into the earth between Su Mu and the Dragon King, carving a path of destruction straight through the heart of the Imperial Palace.

That single punch had effectively parted the Longyuan Empire's Imperial Palace right down the middle.

Silence!

A deathly, suffocating silence!

The thousands of guards and the handful of Gold-tier experts on the scene stood completely petrified. Their collective silence was deafening.

The strongest man in the world. The ruler of the most powerful empire. The undisputed apex of the Seven Kings. The strongest living creature on the face of the earth... The Dragon King had just been sent flying by a single punch.

It was utterly absurd, yet it had just happened right before their eyes.

Was this the true strength of Wrath of the Seven Deadly Sins?!

The crowd stared in absolute terror at the man in the tailcoat standing tall amidst the ruins.

The cold moonlight traced the edges of his tall, straight silhouette. He stood alone beneath the moon, completely unscathed, with only a light dusting of dirt on the hem of his coat.

Su Mu elegantly brushed the dust from his clothes. He frowned as he looked toward the ruins where the Dragon King lay buried, unsure if the man was dead or alive.

Did I really just kill the Dragon King in one punch?

He hadn't held back with that strike, true, but he couldn't take all the blame. The Dragon King's reputation had always been blown out of proportion. He was supposed to be the strongest man in the world, and he had carried himself with the absolute confidence of a true powerhouse—the terrifyingly strong kind.

Because of that, Su Mu had instinctively assumed the Dragon King would be able to handle the punch and even match him blow for blow. He certainly hadn't expected...

In the end, he had severely underestimated the combination of Supreme Heaven and his infinite mental strength.

"Your Majesty!"

"His Majesty the Dragon King!"

"Hurry! Save His Majesty!"

The crowd burst into a frenzy of panicked shouts, swarming toward the rubble where their ruler had been buried.

"Get lost!" A furious roar erupted from the debris. Boom! The rubble exploded outward. Stone and debris shredded the air like shrapnel on a terrifying shockwave, sending the handful of Gold-tier experts who had just arrived hurtling backward with pained screams.

A moment later, a towering figure cloaked in golden dragon scales slowly emerged from the ruins. He looked wretched. Blood dripped steadily from the shattered scales of his right arm.

Yet in his left hand, he gripped a wooden scabbard intricately carved with mountains, rivers, birds, and beasts—the scabbard of the Sword of Royal Power!

With a Royal Power Artifact in hand, the Dragon King's suffocating aura seemed to rise another level. It was as if a crushing storm cloud had settled directly over the Imperial Palace, making it hard for anyone to even breathe.

"Wrath!" He glared violently at Su Mu, his eyes burning with unrestrained killing intent.

A calm voice spoke from behind the Silver-White Mask. "Didn't you just say you wouldn't stoop to using weapons to bully an unarmed man?"

The Dragon King's terrifying momentum faltered. His face flushed with embarrassment, though the humiliation was fortunately hidden beneath his golden dragon scales.

"Hmph! Against heinous villains like the Seven Deadly Sins, honor and rules mean nothing! Die, Wrath!"

Su Mu couldn't help but chuckle. He realized the dragon scales on the man's face must literally be part of his skin—how else could the Dragon King be so thick-skinned?

Catching the mocking look in the eyes behind that mask, the Dragon King reached the very limits of his fury and shame. He wanted nothing more than to kill Wrath on the spot and wash away his humiliation.

He raised the scabbard of the Sword of Royal Power to the sky. From the unseen void, millions of specks of light began converging madly at the lip of the sheath.

The Dragon King moved. The muscles in his arm bulged as he swung down with all his might, unleashing a blindingly brilliant arc of sword light.

The world changed colors in an instant. Lightning crashed and thunder roared across the ink-black sky, as though the heavens themselves were trembling before the might of the strike.

The biting gale whipped Su Mu's tailcoat around his legs, and in the very next instant, the sword light arrived.

Yet Su Mu didn't move a single muscle, standing as calmly as a passing breeze.

Slash!

The blade of light cleaved right through his body. Bottomless fissures erupted across the earth behind him, wildly spiderwebbing in every direction under the rampage of the sword qi!

The Dragon King slowly lowered his arm and declared arrogantly, "To die by the Sword of Royal Power is an honor you should be proud of."

As his words fell, a gentle breeze swept past. Innumerable rays of blinding sword light erupted from Su Mu's body, instantly reducing him to ash. Not a single trace of him remained.

"Long live the Dragon King!"

"Long live His Majesty!"

The crowd erupted into fanatical cheers. The invincible Dragon King had once again displayed his world-dominating might. Even a fearsome member of the Seven Deadly Sins had met a tragic end beneath his blade.
