I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 421: Borrowing Your Royal Power Artifact

Hongye left a long trail of blood mist through the air before crashing heavily to the ground. The hard earth tore open as easily as wet paper. Massive momentum dragged him forward, plowing a terrifyingly deep trench through the dirt.

This time, Hongye could not stand back up.

"Is this the power I possess now?" Su Mu blew on his right fist, which was stained with shreds of fabric and skin.

"As an illusionist, killing a Gold King with a single punch is perfectly reasonable, isn't it?"

Terrifying strength, absurd speed—his physique had reached the absolute limit of humanity.

His figure flickered, closing the distance to Hongye in an instant.

Hongye was still struggling. Mumbling through a mouthful of bloody froth, he chanted an indistinct incantation, seemingly trying to cast Primal Divine Magic.

Ignoring the man's efforts, Su Mu slowly removed his Tinted Glasses. A crystalline blue light radiated from his deep eyes, clear as the open sky, and reflected perfectly in Hongye's pupils.

Gradually, Hongye's incantation trailed off. His pupils had also been dyed that same crystalline blue.

It would be a waste to simply kill a Gold King, especially considering he was the Azure Dragon of Sanctuary.

So, it was better to turn him into the Azure Dragon forever.

...

...

Nighttime, the Longyuan Empire.

"Your Majesty, the Evil God Cultist strongholds have all been eradicated. A total of 109 locations," a middle-aged man in luxurious clothes reported respectfully.

From the throne, the Dragon King replied indifferently, "You have done well."

He sat perfectly straight, putting on grand airs, clearly wanting to project his kingly majesty.

He did possess a certain kingly majesty—provided one didn't look at his dangling feet, which couldn't reach the floor.

For his size, the throne was simply far too large.

"Thank you for the praise, Your Majesty. It is merely my duty. It's just..." He trailed off in hesitation.

"Just what?"

The middle-aged man looked troubled. "Although I have uprooted their strongholds, I cannot completely eradicate these Evil God Cultists. Many people within the Empire are claiming to have dreamt of an evil god. Lately, even a number of transcendents have become their followers.

"I feel that this evil god's influence is constantly expanding. If we cannot completely sever this influence, and simply kill every Evil God Cultist as they appear, I fear that one day, the Longyuan Empire's population will drastically decline, perhaps even..."

"Hmph!" The Dragon King scoffed. "Perhaps even leading to the fall of the Empire, is that it?"

The middle-aged man immediately dropped to his knees in panic. "I wouldn't dare."

"Step down for now. This King will find a solution."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The worry on the man's face vanished, and he turned to leave. In his view, if the Dragon King—the strongest man in the world—said so, there had to be a way. He trusted the Dragon King completely.

After he left, however, the Dragon King let out a heavy sigh, his childish face furrowing in a deep frown.

"Damned Pride!"

Thinking of that figure in the tailcoat made him grit his teeth. With so many Evil God Cultists suddenly springing up in the Real World, he naturally blamed everything on Pride.

As far as he was concerned, who else but Pride could pull something like this off?

"The Leader was right. You really can't kick the habit of badmouthing people behind their backs," an icy voice suddenly rang out from behind the Dragon King.

The Dragon King's expression changed drastically. Without a second thought, he spun around and threw a punch. Golden dragon scales instantly covered his small fist, carrying a terrifying force that made the air tremble.

A fist wreathed in black baleful aura met it head-on.

Bang!!

A massive sonic boom echoed. A visible white shockwave exploded outward from where their knuckles collided.

The shockwave expanded frantically, sweeping through the entire hall like a tornado. In an instant, every window shattered, and the tables, chairs, and decorations were hurled through the air.

Boom!

A petite figure flew backward, smashing ruthlessly into the palace wall and blasting a massive hole through it.

Countless pieces of rubble rained down, burying the Dragon King.

But the next moment, a dragon's roar pierced the night sky. The burying debris seemed to face an unimaginable crushing pressure, instantly turning to dust.

With the rubble cleared, a two-meter-tall Dragon King, entirely covered in golden dragon scales, slowly stepped out.

His icy, golden pupils locked onto the man standing behind the throne.

An elegant black tailcoat fluttered gently. The chilling Silver-White Mask caught the pale moonlight streaming through the window, highlighting a wrathful smile.

"Seven Deadly Sins... Wrath!" the Dragon King snarled. "Breaking into this King's Imperial Palace in the dead of night—what do you want?!"

"To borrow your Royal Power Artifact," a voice as cold as a blade answered from beneath the Silver-White Mask.

Royal Power Artifact?!

The Dragon King's pupils violently contracted. His brilliant mind spun rapidly, seeing through the true intentions of the Seven Deadly Sins in an instant!

'Pride must have harbored a grudge after his repeated attempts to summon his pets and destroy the world were thwarted by this King! So he sent his subordinates to snatch my Royal Power Artifact and weaken this King's strength. Without a leader, the Seven Kings will be left defenseless, and the world will be in peril!'

The Dragon King's heart sank into the abyss. In the end, it was this King's immense power that had provoked Pride's fear.

The Dragon King swept his vigilant gaze around the room. "Where are the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins? There's no need to hide. Tell them all to come out."

Su Mu was dumbfounded. He didn't know what kind of scenario the Dragon King had cooked up in his head to make him think the Seven Deadly Sins had deployed in full force.

"To deal with you, I alone am enough."

The Dragon King paused for a moment before letting out a disdainful sneer. "Just you? A Gold King on the Giant Demon path? Hahaha... I don't think you should be called Wrath. You should be called Pride."

At that moment, shouts of alarm rang out nearby, along with the noise of a large force assembling.

"Men, quickly! Protect the King!"

"Your Majesty, are you alright?"

Several Gold-tier experts charged onto the scene, followed closely by a massive, swarming crowd of Imperial Palace guards.

"Stand down," the Dragon King barked coldly. "Spread out and secure the perimeter in case the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins appear. As for Wrath..."

A teasing smirk touched the corners of his mouth. "...leave him to this King."

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The Gold-tier experts obediently retreated. Not a hint of worry marred their faces; they held only reverence for the Dragon King.

To them, as long as Pride and Night Raven did not show themselves, who in this world could possibly rival the Dragon King?

The Seven Deadly Sins were strong, yes, but Pride was the one with real power. The rest of the members were merely Gold-tier experts. Even if Wrath was a cut above them as a Gold King, so what?

The Dragon King was the king of kings!

The Dragon King shot Su Mu a mocking look. "This King was merely caught off guard a moment ago, allowing your sneak attack to succeed. You didn't really think this King's title as the world's strongest was just for show, did you?"

He slowly and powerfully rolled his neck from side to side. Light popping sounds echoed out, as if he were awakening power slumbering deep within his bones. With every movement, his hair whipped wildly through the air.

Seeing the Dragon King preparing to fight bare-handed, Su Mu kindly advised, "I suggest you draw the Sword of Royal Power."
