I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 311: From Today On, the Seven Deadly Sins Shall Be Erased from the World!
Mirage was the sole illusion-type sword among the Twelve Swords of Royal Power. It was said that anyone with a weak will would completely lose their mind the moment they laid eyes on it, sinking into its illusions forever.
Its name was drawn from sea mirages, representing pure illusion.
"An illusion type? Such an Artifact should rightfully belong to me."
Su Mu reached out toward Mirage. At last, he was gazing upon a genuine, world-class treasure.
He knew the might of the Twelve Swords of Royal Power firsthand. As long as Void Devourer stored enough energy, it could even unleash a Gold Grade strike.
He believed that once he possessed Mirage, his Illusion Technique might just be able to affect the Gold Tier.
Right then, the heavy doors of the treasury burst open with a deafening crash!
A violent gale blasted inward. "Pride!!"
The Undead King's furious, shocked voice exploded through the treasury like a thunderclap.
Su Mu did not even turn his head. He simply waved a calm hand at Mirage. Space warped, and the sword vanished into thin air.The Undead King's eyes were splitting with rage. With a face as hideous as a man-eating ghoul's, he roared, "You seek death!!"
In the next instant, scarlet light erupted into the heavens, shrouding everything in a bloody glow.
The supposedly indestructible Mithril Treasury was reduced to ash within that bloody light in seconds. Even the earth was corroded, sinking three inches.
When the scarlet light finally dissipated, all that remained was barren earth. The once-magnificent architecture and the impenetrable treasury had vanished completely.
Only the thunderously furious Undead King and an elegant figure wearing a Silver-White Mask remained in the clearing.
"You dare steal from the Blood Moon Treasury!" Scarlet veins surfaced on the Undead King's devastatingly handsome face, his eyes drowning entirely in crimson. He glared fixedly at Su Mu, his killing intent piercing the heavens.
Su Mu smiled contemptuously. "How can it be called stealing when I do it right in front of you? This is open robbery."
"Die!"
The air violently trembled as scarlet spheres of blood formed around the Undead King, hurtling madly toward Su Mu.
However, aside from blasting the earth to pieces, the barrage failed to touch even the hem of Su Mu's clothes.
The more the Undead King attacked, the more enraged he became. Now he finally understood Pride's true objective. The destruction was just a smokescreen; plundering the treasury was the real goal all along.
How could he possibly endure watching the treasures the Blood Clan had accumulated over so many years be stolen right out from under him?
If not for the sensory arrays inscribed on the treasury's artifacts—which triggered the moment they were moved—Pride would have probably made it all the fucking way home before he even realized he had been robbed.
"This is impossible! Where the hell is your true body hiding!? I clearly just razed this entire area to the ground..."
The Undead King's expression twisted even further. He could not comprehend it. Pride's illusion was right in front of him, which meant his true body had to be hiding nearby. Why couldn't he detect it at all!?
"Incompetent rage." Su Mu shook his head in slight disappointment, then strode toward the Undead King.
"You!" The Undead King was still venting his fury, but no matter how he attacked, it was utterly useless. Only someone who had experienced such maddening frustration could truly understand it.
Your enemy stood right in front of you, robbed your house blind, mocked you to your face, and then prepared to leave while you watched helplessly. A normal person couldn't swallow such humiliation, let alone a Gold King.
Su Mu stepped right up beside the Undead King, brushing shoulders with him as he said lightly, "Remember, don't speak ill of others behind their backs next time."
The Undead King's chest heaved violently. He looked ready to explode.
"Stop right there!"
"Oh?" Su Mu paused and tilted his head slightly, his cold Silver-White Mask reflecting a faint, eerie light. "Still want to humiliate yourself further? The great... Undead King?"
"Pride, I admit that I cannot locate your true body right now. But I can kill every other member of the Seven Deadly Sins aside from you!
You probably don't know this yet, but your subordinates' situation is far from optimistic right now!"
The Undead King truly lived up to his status as a Gold King. Even pushed to the absolute limits of his rage, he instantly clamped down on his fury. Smiling coldly, he waved his hand and tore open a screen of blood in the air.
That massive blood curtain functioned like a movie screen, divided into several smaller feeds.
Sikong Zhen's group, Lin Canyang, Specter, and Taoist Priest Xuanqing were all displayed upon it.
Su Mu cast an indifferent glance at the screen. Their situations were indeed incredibly grim.
Of Sikong Zhen's party of five, only Dongfang Yuan was still on his feet. The rest lay collapsed in pools of blood. Yet even though he remained standing, Dongfang Yuan was already at the very end of his rope.
He was old, after all. The former First God of War of Chiyan could not even manage a retreat anymore.
Specter was also heavily besieged. Their right arm looked as if it had been corroded by acid, exposing ghastly white bone beneath. Several members of the Gold Blood Clan relentlessly assaulted them while they turtled desperately behind a telekinetic shield, clinging to life. The moment their power ran out, they would undoubtedly die.
Lin Canyang was in an even more miserable state. He had been fished out of the sewers, drenched in blood and filth, with several Mithril Chains securely wound around his body. In his dazed state, it was as if he had returned to his days of captivity.
As for Taoist Priest Xuanqing, Su Mu could not make out his situation clearly at all. The entire feed was washed in a blinding scarlet light, barely revealing the priest's mangled silhouette.
"Hahaha... Pride, how does it feel?" the Undead King laughed sadistically. "Hand over all the treasures from the Blood Moon Treasury, and I might consider sparing their lives. If not, then starting today, the Seven Deadly Sins shall be erased from the world!"
The foundation of the Blood Moon Empire was simply too deep. Even utilizing a sneak attack, and even bringing Dongfang Yuan and Specter—two top-tier Gold powerhouses who were practically invincible against anyone below a King—they still ended up in this wretched state.
If the Undead King had not explicitly ordered them to be captured alive, they would all likely be dead by now.
As he looked at the Undead King's sadistic grin, a soft, contemptuous chuckle echoed from beneath the Silver-White Mask.
"You're wrong. As long as I am here, the Seven Deadly Sins will remain."
A cold light flashed in the Undead King's eyes. "So, you intend to abandon them all for the sake of these treasures?"
"Heh." Su Mu's sneer deepened. His indifferent eyes gazed at the Undead King through the Silver-White Mask as he spoke slowly. "Wrong again. The treasures and the people... I'm taking them both!
"Did my refusal to attack give you the illusion that you could actually threaten me? Since that's the case, I suppose I should help you wake up a little."
Faced with Su Mu's threat, not only did the Undead King feel no fear, but he also secretly rejoiced. He hadn't expected Pride to actually be this arrogant.
The man could have relied on his eerie illusion techniques to escape with his life, yet he was actually daring to make a move against him—a Gold King.
He had absolute confidence in his own strength—the unique, unwavering confidence of a Gold King. He firmly believed that no one in this world could ever defeat him. Not even the Dragon King of the Longyuan Empire, who was hailed as the strongest under heaven, could manage it. Because he was truly immortal!
The Undead King's life motto was simple: as long as you couldn't kill him, he hadn't lost.
