I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 305: The Undead King? Is That All!

"Insolent!" A member of the Gold Blood Clan attacked in an instant. His speed surpassed the limits of the naked eye—with a mere flash of blood-red light, he appeared right in front of Su Mu.

Swish!

His fingers, cloaked in a bloody glow, slashed viciously across Su Mu's body. Yet the strike passed right through him as if slicing through empty air, completely ineffective.

"What!?"

The Gold Blood Clan member's expression twisted in rage, and he moved to strike again.

"Stop," the Undead King's cold voice rang out.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The man shot Su Mu a resentful glare before stepping back.

"Hmph." The Undead King let out a cold snort. "To be played for a fool by a mere phantom. You truly are regressing with age."

The man lowered his head in shame, not daring to utter a word.

Su Mu strolled into the center of the hall as if taking a leisurely walk through a courtyard. He casually inspected the room's architectural style, looking every bit like a tourist on a sightseeing trip.

The surrounding Blood Clan members glared at him, their eyes burning with undisguised killing intent.

"Pride, Head of the Seven Deadly Sins. It seems I underestimated you. To think you actually had the courage to show yourself." The Undead King elegantly lifted a crystal goblet, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes as he looked at Su Mu.

"However, it appears your bravery has its limits, since you only dared to send a phantom."

Meeting the Undead King's amused gaze, Su Mu calmly raised a single finger, wagged it back and forth, and then pointed directly at the crystal goblet in the king's hand.

"Bang!" A disdainful sound slipped from beneath the Silver-White Mask.

A shocking scene immediately followed. With a sharp crack and a faint distortion in the surrounding space, the crystal goblet in the Undead King's hand inexplicably shattered out of thin air. Crimson blood and jagged shards of glass cascaded downward, just moments away from spilling all over the king.

But a split second later, an invisible pair of hands seemed to catch the mess in mid-air, sweeping it harmlessly to the side.

"How was that?" Su Mu's indifferent eyes met the Undead King's gaze through the Silver-White Mask. All traces of amusement vanished from the king's eyes, instantly replaced by bottomless, freezing hostility.

He slowly stood up and stared expressionlessly at Su Mu. "In all this world, no one has ever dared to play such a joke on me."

"So what?"

"So you and your Seven Deadly Sins will pay a devastating price."

"Heh." Su Mu's dismissive chuckle sounded especially grating against the heavy atmosphere. "Tell me that when you can actually touch the hem of my clothes."

Boom!

A terrifying, abyssal aura erupted from the Undead King's towering frame. Every pane of glass and every lightbulb in the conference hall shattered instantly under the sheer pressure.

The hall plunged into deathly darkness. Within the pitch black, a pair of scarlet eyes burned with an eerie, blazing intensity. Wisps of blood-red light bled from his pupils, crawling like venomous veins around his eye sockets and twisting his face into something truly demonic!

The sickening sound of flowing blood filled the air, accompanied by a thick, metallic stench that washed over the room. It felt as if the hall had instantly been transformed into a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, sending shivers down the spine.

"Angry already? The Undead King is nothing special." In the darkness, Su Mu's mocking voice drifted with pinpoint precision into the ears of everyone present.

The Undead King's eyes turned a solid, glowing scarlet. "Find him! His true body must be nearby!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The terrified crowd of Blood Clan nobles scrambled into action, afraid of drawing the furious Undead King's wrath.

Su Mu, however, leisurely found a chair and sat down. He spoke at a slow, unhurried pace. "I came here today to tell you that the Seven Deadly Sins aren't some tool just anyone can use. I don't care if you play the tyrant while hiding in the Blood Moon Empire, Undead King, but since you tried to use us, it's time you learned a lesson.

How should I punish you, I wonder?"

He stroked his chin thoughtfully, completely ignoring the murderous glare of the Undead King standing across from him.

"I'll slaughter one of your cities." The eyes beneath the Silver-White Mask gleamed with growing mockery, as if admiring a particularly entertaining piece of prey.

"You wouldn't dare!" The Undead King was pushed past the boiling point. Countless rays of scarlet light erupted from his body. His lips turned the color of fresh blood, and a pair of cold, gleaming fangs silently elongated.

Under the force of his roar, the entire Imperial Palace shuddered. A web of cracks spread across the conference room ceiling, raining down a thick layer of dust.

Whipped up by the bloody aura and a sudden gale, the king's cape billowed violently behind him like the massive wings of a mythical demon. The mysterious, ancient runes embroidered into the fabric seemed to awaken, pulsing with a sinister, malevolent glow.

The surrounding air grew thick and heavy, feeling as if it had been drenched in blood.

The terrifying pressure that belonged solely to a Gold King erupted without holding anything back.

Su Mu raised an eyebrow. Going purely by the sheer force of this aura, he felt the Undead King was stronger than King Chi. It was no wonder the Undead King always called her a False King—the insult wasn't entirely without merit.

After all, King Chi wasn't one of the Seven Kings in the truest, orthodox sense. The true founding king of the Chiyan Empire had long since disappeared. No one knew his name, and history held absolutely no trace of his existence.

Still, despite acknowledging the Undead King's impressive power, a taunt was a taunt.

"I'll go with You City. It has a decent population, an excellent location, and fairly pleasant scenery."

Boom!!

The entire conference hall collapsed completely. Jagged chunks of rubble flew through the air as the ground shook violently, as if struck by a magnitude-ten earthquake.

"Pride!!"

The Undead King's deep roar echoed across the Imperial Palace. His demonic figure emerged step by step from the ruins. The bloody aura radiating from his body spread like a foul plague, transforming the surrounding hundred li into a blood-red purgatory.

But Su Mu was long gone.

Swish, swish, swish...

Several members of the Gold Blood Clan materialized out of thin air. They dropped to one knee behind the Undead King, trembling in absolute terror.

One of them summoned just enough courage to stammer, "Y-Your Majesty, we... we couldn't find Pride's true body... Ahhhh! Have mercy, Your Majesty!"

A massive, deathly pale hand had clamped around his throat, hoisting him off his feet and into the air. He flailed and struggled desperately, but the only response he received was a gaze swimming with bloodthirsty madness, and the stony indifference of his peers.

"Trash! You're all useless trash!"

Opening his mouth to bare his razor-sharp fangs, the Undead King sank his teeth viciously into the man's neck.

Blood-curdling screams echoed across the ruins. Just moments later, the Gold Blood Clan noble was completely reduced to a hideous, shriveled husk.

"Keep searching! Don't stop until you find Pride!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The others shuddered. They knew their ruler was truly enraged this time. A king's dignity could not be insulted so easily—least of all the arrogant Undead King of the Blood Clan.

"Wait."

The nobles hastily froze in their tracks, waiting in silence for their king's command.

"Pride claimed he was going to slaughter You City. You all know what to do, don't you?" the Undead King's freezing voice drifted over them.

"Yes, we understand perfectly!"

"Good. Go. Leng Yue, stay behind."
