Chapter 304: Seven Deadly Sins? Petty Buffoons!

"Before that, there is something you need to do." Su Mu's indifferent voice echoed from beneath the cold Silver-White Mask.

Taoist Priest Xuanqing pushed off the wall and slowly straightened up.

Lin Canyang looked up, his expression solemn.

Specter simply watched Su Mu, waiting for orders.

"Help the humans in this city evacuate."

"Evacuate?" A hint of confusion flickered across Specter's face.

"Go to the Rose Tavern at 158 Punk Street. Find the people from the Human Alliance and assist them with the evacuation."

Specter's eyes flickered. He had long heard of the Human Alliance—a coalition of people within the Blood Moon Empire who resented the rule of the Blood Clan. Their goal was somewhat similar to the Revolutionary Army's: to overthrow the Blood Moon Empire.

He had not expected the Seven Deadly Sins to have ties with the Human Alliance as well.

"Leader, why the evacuation?"

"Because this city will soon cease to exist."

Cease to exist!?

Shock jolted through Specter's heart. Were the Seven Deadly Sins planning to slaughter the entire city?

Lin Canyang trembled faintly. He knew the organization's missions were extraordinary, but he had never imagined they would involve massacring a city!

This was an era of peace. Slaughtering a city within the Blood Moon Empire—if they pulled it off, it would be a catastrophic event that would shock the entire world!

"Remember, your mission is to help the Human Alliance evacuate. As for slaughtering the city, other members of the organization will handle it. Do not cause unnecessary complications."

"Understood, boss." Taoist Priest Xuanqing waved a hand, then clasped both hands behind his head and sauntered out the door.

Su Mu watched the three of them leave. Suddenly, he took a step forward. The air in front of him warped slightly, and his figure dissolved into the void, vanishing completely.

Helping the Human Alliance evacuate was the task assigned to Specter and the others, but Su Mu would not be remaining idle either. He had more important things to do.

He had not spent the past three days enjoying life in the Chiyan Empire. Instead, he had arrived in the Blood Moon Empire early and, using his Illusion Technique, made contact with the leader of this city's Human Alliance branch.

The Human Alliance was incredibly weak within the Blood Moon Empire, not even comparable to the Revolutionary Army. This was unavoidable, as the two nations faced entirely different circumstances. The Chiyan Empire might have been corrupt and incompetent, but its nobles were at least human, making it relatively easy for the Revolutionary Army to hide. In the Blood Moon Empire, humans and the Blood Clan were two completely different species. The sheer difficulty of staying hidden was unimaginable.

His reason for aiding the Human Alliance was naturally to better strike at the Blood Moon Empire. A few terrorist attacks alone were not enough to shake its foundations. The best approach was to aid the Human Alliance, allowing them to sound the horn of humanity's counteroffensive from within the empire itself!

...

...

Blood Moon Imperial Palace.

At the head of a long, oval table sat a man whose handsomeness bordered on the demonic. His pale, slender fingers tapped lightly against the surface.

His ruby-like eyes gazed at the young men and women gathered in the room.

Beside his hand rested a crystal goblet filled with dark red blood.

"What is the Chiyan Empire's response?" he asked slowly. His voice was deep and magnetic, like wind flowing through an empty mountain valley.

"To answer Your Majesty, there is no response," a man on the left said respectfully. "They merely locked down the spread of information and haven't taken any specific measures against the Seven Deadly Sins. It seems they intend to give the matter the cold treatment."

The corners of the Undead King's mouth curled into a cold, blade-like smirk. "A mere False King only has so much nerve. If she truly dared to mobilize Supreme Heaven to kill Pride, perhaps I might still hold a sliver of wariness toward her. But now? Heh..."

"Your Majesty is absolutely right. How could a usurper like King Chi ever compare to you?" the man continued. "I believe we should continue building momentum for the Seven Deadly Sins, letting the entire world see King Chi's incompetence. For a dignified King of the Seven Great Empires to be unable to handle even the leader of a terrorist organization—it's utterly laughable!"

Factions existed within the Blood Clan as well. If someone echoed a sentiment, another would naturally voice the opposite.

A coldly glamorous woman wearing purple lipstick spoke up. "Your Majesty, the Seven Deadly Sins dared to kill the envoy you sent. The sheer arrogance of their leader, Pride, is evident. It proves this person is dissatisfied with the Empire using the Seven Deadly Sins this time. While building momentum for them will certainly strike a blow to King Chi's prestige, it will also fuel their rampant arrogance.

"The Seven Deadly Sins are very likely to seize this opportunity to quietly expand their power by stepping on King Chi's reputation. I believe that if such lawless individuals succeed, it will be detrimental to the Empire. The Empire must take them seriously."

"Oh?" The Undead King tilted his head up slightly, the red teardrop earring dangling from his right ear swaying.

"Are you implying that I must carefully guard myself against these petty buffoons from the Seven Deadly Sins?"

The coldly glamorous woman tensed immediately, sheer terror surfacing on her face. "I..."

"The world has been fooled by the Empire's news reports, believing that the Head of the Seven Deadly Sins, Pride, might be a Gold King. But everyone sitting here knows the truth. Pride never actually fought King Chi. They merely used some bizarre method to rescue the leader of the Revolutionary Army.

"Does a coward who hides in the shadows truly warrant my attention?

"Leng Yue, it seems that your month-long punishment serving the Progenitor in the Ancestral Land hasn't improved you at all."

Terror completely flooded Leng Yue's eyes. She hurriedly threw herself to her knees, her body trembling violently. "The great Undead King naturally fears no enemy! I was merely worried that the Seven Deadly Sins might act against the Empire in the shadows, so..."

"Hahaha..." The Undead King let out a chilling laugh. "Even putting aside the fact that Pride is not a Gold King, so what if they were? Among Kings, there is still a hierarchy!

"Leng Yue, you think far too highly of the Seven Deadly Sins. This pack of rats only dares to stir up trouble in the weakest nation. They have already become a thorn in the flesh for King Chi. Under such circumstances, how could they possibly dare to cause trouble in the Blood Moon Empire?"

"Speaking ill of someone behind their back is hardly the behavior of a king," an indifferent voice suddenly echoed from right behind the Undead King.

"Who goes there?!"

"To think you would dare infiltrate the Blood Moon Imperial Palace!"

Thump, thump, thump...

The expressions of the Blood Clan members present changed drastically. They sprang from their seats in unison, staring fixedly into the darkness behind the Undead King.

The Undead King did not turn his head, but his tapping fingers stilled against the table. His ruby-like eyes narrowed, radiating an extremely dangerous glint.

Tap, tap, tap...

Unhurried footsteps rang out. Under everyone's solemn gazes, a figure dressed in a black tailcoat slowly stepped forward. The surrounding darkness receded from him like the tide, revealing a Silver-White Mask glinting with a cold, metallic light.

The disdainful smile carved into that mask burned itself deeply into the eyes of everyone present.

"Pride!!"

"What audacity! You actually dare to infiltrate the Imperial Palace? Do you think the Blood Moon Empire is defenseless?!"

"Oh?" Su Mu chuckled softly. "So you refer to walking in completely out in the open as 'infiltrating'? As expected of the Blood Clan—even your choice of words differs from humanity's."
