I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 102: All the Explosives in District 13 Are Here

"You're not Su Mu. Where is he?" Mu Cheng said coldly, his body gleaming with a metallic luster.

The Su Mu sitting in the chair smiled faintly. "Kill me, and you will naturally see the Leader."

"A boring trick. No matter how many body doubles you have, you're all just a bunch of ants in the end." Mu Cheng slowly raised his right hand, aiming a faintly glowing red barrel at Su Mu's double.

Unfazed, the double gently raised the detonator in his hand.

"Hahaha..." A cold, mechanical voice emerged from Mu Cheng's mouth. "The scum of the Lower District truly are ignorant. Did you really think explosives could destroy Mithril Alloy?"

Su Mu's thumb slowly traced the detonator's button. "Mithril is the hardest metal in the world," he said lightly. "Naturally, explosives can't destroy it. But that assumes your entire body is made of Mithril."

An eerie red light flashed in Mu Cheng's eyes, and he nodded in agreement. "You're not wrong. I still have precision electronic components inside my body, and to maintain flexibility, I can't use Mithril on my joints. But don't go thinking you're the only smart person in this world. As a cyborg, I know our weaknesses much better than you do. I've long since reinforced those weak points. Once I enter a defensive state, all my vulnerabilities will be covered by Mithril."

With that, he walked straight up to Su Mu's double, reached out a silver, metal-clad hand, and snatched the detonator.

Su Mu's double didn't resist, simply letting him take the detonator away.

"Do you know something? Your smile is truly repulsive," Mu Cheng said. "When the scum of the Lower District see me, their faces should only show fear and awe, not a smile that says you have everything under control. Ignorance makes you fearless. So what I'm going to do now is completely shatter that ignorance."

Click!

Sneering, Mu Cheng pressed the detonator himself.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

The pre-planted bombs detonated instantly. A blinding light engulfed the world, deafening explosions ripped through the air, and a massive shockwave swept outward with world-shaking force.

Raging flames swallowed Mu Cheng, but they couldn't drown out his manic laughter.

"Hahaha... Su Mu! Go cower in some dark corner! I'll soon— Wait!? Just how many explosives did you plant!?"

Mu Cheng's voice abruptly shifted into sheer terror. He finally realized something was terribly wrong—there were simply too many bombs.

The deafening blasts echoed across all of District 13. They grew increasingly violent, seemingly endless. Flames rocketed into the sky, and a miniature mushroom cloud slowly rose directly above the Vipers Gang Headquarters.

In an instant, the entire Poisonous Snake Gang compound was razed to the ground!

District 13 was destined for a sleepless night. Everyone was jolted awake by the earth-shattering explosions.

Far in the distance, Su Mu watched through binoculars. Gazing at the obliterated Vipers Gang Headquarters, he smiled faintly. "Not that many. Just every single explosive in District 13."

He naturally knew that explosives would struggle to kill a Mithril Alloy Cyborg, but talking about destructive power without considering the payload was pure nonsense. It was the difference between a single grenade and a ton of grenades. Both were explosions, but could the destructive force even compare?

District 13 was his territory. The reason he had insisted on returning here to deal with Mu Cheng was, naturally, to exploit a massive home-field advantage.

Within District 13, a single command from him could gather every scrap of explosives in less than half a day. After all, he didn't just control the Poisonous Snake Gang—he held sway over countless other hypnotized individuals. Some were factory owners, others were high-ranking district officials, and many more were just ordinary pedestrians scattered throughout the streets.

In other words, Mu Cheng wasn't just making an enemy of Su Mu—he had made an enemy of all of District 13.

Back when he told Murong Mengli that District 13 held no secrets from him, he had been telling the absolute truth.

When all the explosives in the district were gathered in one place and detonated simultaneously, the resulting devastation was truly terrifying. While it still wouldn't be enough to destroy Mithril, the sheer shockwave would be more than enough to shatter the precision electronic components inside Mu Cheng's body, as well as his internal organs.

The current level of technology wasn't advanced enough to create a complete cyborg. Thus, Mu Cheng should still possess a biological brain, internal organs, and other vital parts.

The terrifying sequence of explosions lasted for a full five minutes. By the time it ended, the Vipers Gang Headquarters had completely vanished, replaced by ruins scattered with lingering fires.

Amidst the ruins, Mu Cheng was half-kneeling on the ground. His silver-white metallic outer casing was charred entirely black and severely warped. Faint electrical sparks continuously crackled from some of his joints, exposing torn wires.

His eyes, which had previously glowed with that eerie red light, were now covered in a dense web of cracks, revealing the dim infrared bulbs beneath.

In the fire-lit darkness, a slender figure strolled calmly out of the shadows. He wore a crisp black suit with every crease perfectly in place, looking like a meticulously crafted work of art. The collar of his white shirt was slightly undone, revealing a glimpse of a refined collarbone.

His jet-black hair was combed meticulously. His deep eyes emanated a crystalline blue glow in the dark. Below his high nose bridge, his thin lips curved slightly upward in a faint, enigmatic smile. His right hand rested on a luxurious Snakewood Cane, the gold ornament on its handle gleaming with a cold radiance under the dim light.

Su Mu gazed down at the wretched state of Mu Cheng and frowned slightly. "If you died this easily, it would be far too boring."

Mu Cheng remained perfectly motionless, looking as though he were truly dead.

Bang!

A Mithril Bullet blasted from the Silver-White Rose in Su Mu's hand, flying straight toward Mu Cheng's head.

Almost the instant the gun fired, the dim red light in Mu Cheng's eyes flared brightly. He tilted his head at a bizarre angle, cleanly dodging the shot.

He slowly stood up, surging electricity crackling all over his body.

Su Mu raised an eyebrow. Seeing that Mu Cheng had survived, he felt a surge of excitement, but he also acutely realized something else—Mu Cheng was likely a legendary complete cyborg. Otherwise, if he still possessed flesh-and-blood internal organs, the sheer concussive force of that explosion would have absolutely pulverized them.

But Murong Mengli had said that current technology wasn't advanced enough to produce a complete cyborg. Was her intelligence outdated?

"Su Mu, you truly deserve to die!" Now fully standing, Mu Cheng stared viciously at Su Mu. His cold mechanical voice dripped with intense killing intent. If he had only been fighting to complete Qian Zihao's mission before, this was now entirely personal.

"Do you have any idea how much money it cost to forge this body? It's a number you couldn't even imagine in your wildest dreams, and yet you dared to damage it! The bounty for this mission won't even cover the repair costs! Tell me, don't you deserve to die!?"

Su Mu merely shrugged. "If you're dead, won't you save on those repair costs?"

"Go to hell!" Enraged, the severely warped Mu Cheng charged straight at Su Mu. Even damaged, his Mithril Alloy body erupted with terrifying might, barreling forward like a humanoid tank and crushing all the debris in his path.
