Chapter 324 - 270: Spirit Communication Dao Body
Chapter 324: Chapter 270: Spirit Communication Dao Body
The Spirit Communication Dao Body was Favored by the Heavens. It had a natural affinity for Spiritual Qi, meaning one’s Cultivation would slowly increase even without deliberate practice. And when one did practice, progress was measured in leaps and bounds.
For Yu Changsheng, it was no exaggeration to call this blessing world-shaking. This was the heaven-sent opportunity Elder Wei had spoken of.
After a long while, the waves of pain in his body subsided. Yu Changsheng’s eyes fluttered open, revealing a sharp glint. He slowly rose to his feet, his every movement now imbued with a natural Dao Rhyme.
Assessing the state of his body, Yu Changsheng’s face filled with astonishment.
"This is..."
Yu Changsheng felt the Spiritual Qi in the surroundings surging, wave after wave scrambling to pour into his body. He swallowed hard, reeling from the shock.
He could feel that his affinity for Spiritual Qi had massively increased. With every breath, he took in Spiritual Qi as easily as drinking water, without even needing to consciously refine or guide it.
The Ten Thousand Spirits Technique circulated within him more smoothly than ever, flowing with natural ease. His meridians and bones were completely clear. His physical body, Divine Soul, and Cultivation had all taken another qualitative leap forward.
"The Spirit Communication Dao Body..."
’So it was just a matter of going with the flow, giving things a little push...’ Elder Wei watched Yu Changsheng and murmured thoughtfully.
A moment later, Elder Wei shook his head and smiled. He nodded at the Profound Turtle and said, "Thank you for your hard work, old friend."
The Profound Turtle’s eyelids drooped. After a heavy nod, it let out a low snort, transformed into a streak of light, and willingly returned to Yu Changsheng’s Inner Realm.
’Your Inner Realm is quite spacious, but let me expand it for you.’
The Profound Turtle’s Divine Thought echoed in Yu Changsheng’s mind. Yu Changsheng froze for a second, then a dazzling white light erupted within his Inner Realm. Just like that, his Inner Realm, already much larger than an ordinary person’s, expanded several times over.
The commotion naturally stirred the three Spirit Beasts sleeping and recuperating within. They opened their eyes, staring at the newcomer with hostile expressions.
’Huh? These three little things have devoured some of my Origin?’
The Profound Turtle’s brow furrowed as it looked at them. In the next instant, thunder and lightning crashed within the Inner Realm. As if the sky itself were collapsing, a sliver of its immense pressure bore down on the three beasts.
"!!!"
The three Spirit Beasts immediately cowered in a corner, trembling uncontrollably.
Yu Changsheng: "..."
’Looks like the Colorful Star Deer’s position as top dog is in jeopardy!’
Yu Changsheng shook his head and chuckled. After sending a quick mental message to his three Spirit Beasts, he paid them no more mind. Instead, he looked up at Elder Wei, his face full of emotion, and stood up to give him a hug.
"Master!"
"Hehe," Elder Wei chuckled, his smile kind. He patted Yu Changsheng’s shoulder and nodded, his tone carrying a mix of pride and nostalgia. "So, what do you think of this gift from your master?"
"I’ve been keeping an eye on everything you’ve been doing out there. You’ve done very well."
"It’s all thanks to your excellent teaching, Master," Yu Changsheng said with a sheepish grin, scratching his head.
He was beaming as he felt the surging Cultivation within him. This was the greatest reward from his trip to the Secret Realm.
Never mind anything else; just achieving the Eighth-Layer Spirit Platform was enough to make countless people green with envy, to say nothing of forming a Contract with the Profound Turtle and condensing a Dao Body.
Any one of these three accomplishments was a rare fortune in itself. It was clear that Elder Wei had meticulously planned this and spared no effort for Yu Changsheng’s sake.
"Cultivate well. Don’t let our high hopes for you go to waste."
Elder Wei’s gaze was filled with emotion. He glanced at the Profound Turtle’s main body, which had fallen into a deep slumber behind him, and patted its head. An unconscious smile touched his lips, but then, as if remembering something, he shook his head with a trace of melancholy.
"You’ve accomplished what your senior brother could not. The twists of fate, of cause and effect... who can truly understand them?"
Yu Changsheng fell silent at his words. He opened his mouth to speak but didn’t know what to say.
"Never mind, it’s all in the past," Elder Wei said, waving his hand. A shadow flickered in the depths of his eyes, gone in an instant. He glanced at the sealed land and took a light step. The clouds and mist parted, revealing the full landscape of the Secret Realm.
"This will likely be the last time the Illusion Mist Beast Valley ever opens. There won’t be another chance like this. The so-called Fog Beasts within are, in reality, special life forms created from the Cultivation, Origin, and life force that this Profound Turtle has been constantly losing over the past thousand years."
"Now that the Profound Turtle has reached the end of its road, the Fog Beasts will naturally no longer be generated. There’s one day left before this Secret Realm closes. You should head back. Don’t keep your friends waiting and worrying."
Elder Wei spoke softly, his gaze sweeping across the sealed land. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and a thousand emotions swirled in his eyes.
"Okay," Yu Changsheng nodded obediently. He thought for a moment, then rubbed his nose. "So... we killed Yang Chengxu from the Spirit Dragon Sect inside the Secret Realm. That... shouldn’t be a problem, right?"
Elder Wei considered this, his expression unchanging. He shot a look at Yu Changsheng and chided with a laugh, "You certainly know how to cause trouble. You nearly got yourself killed. Did you act so recklessly because you knew I was watching over you in secret?"
Despite his words, a flash of surprise crossed Elder Wei’s eyes as he looked at Yu Changsheng. He hadn’t expected that in such a short time, the once green and inexperienced youth would have grown to this extent.
It even put him in a slight daze, as if he were seeing the shadow of his eldest disciple...
"Of course not," Yu Changsheng said, a hint of embarrassment on his face as he pursed his lips. "But since you were there in secret, Master, why didn’t you intervene? Weren’t you afraid your disciple would actually get beaten to death?"
"If I had intervened, would you have been able to pin the blame so smoothly on that Meng Wuan fellow?"
Elder Wei shot Yu Changsheng a glare and retorted irritably.
"Alright, you’ve mostly recovered. We can discuss everything else when you get back to the sect. I still need to deal with this Seal. As for the Fog Beasts in the Illusion Mist Beast Valley, you can gather your friends and clear them out. It should be a decent opportunity for you."
