The celebration was small, intimate, exactly what we needed.

No grand feast, no elaborate ceremony, no crowds of well-wishers. Just our family gathered around the fire on the beach, sharing food and laughter and the quiet joy of completion. The children had made Eryx a crown of woven grass, which he wore with embarrassed pride, and they took turns climbing into his lap, calling him "Daddy Eryx." Their small hands patting his face with the casual affection of children who had loved him long before any bond made it official.

Because they had. They had loved him from the moment he had chosen to stay, to guard, to protect. He had been their shadow, their silent guardian, their patient playmate. The bond simply made visible what had always been true.

That night, after the children were tucked into bed and the other mates had kissed me goodnight with knowing smiles and whispered encouragement, Eryx and I found ourselves alone in the room that had been prepared for us.

He stood by the window, his back to me, his shoulders tense, his hands trembling slightly. The moonlight painted him in silver and shadow, highlighting the strong lines of his back, the curve of his jaw, the nervous set of his ears.

"Eryx," I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper.

He turned, and his eyes found mine, burning with love and desire and absolute terror. "Krys," he breathed. "I... I don’t know what to do. I’ve never... I mean, I’ve imagined, but imagining and actually..."

He trailed off, his face flushing crimson, his ears flattening with embarrassment.

I crossed the room to him, my own heart hammering, my stomach fluttering with nerves. It didn’t matter that I had done this before, that I had six other mates, that I was no stranger to the marriage bed. Every first time was new. Every first time was terrifying. Every first time was a revelation.

"Shy?" I asked, my fingers finding his hand, intertwining with his trembling ones.

"Terrified," he admitted, his voice rough. "I want to please you. I need to please you. But I’m afraid I’ll disappoint you. That I’ll be clumsy, or too fast, or not enough..."

I pressed my fingers to his lips, silencing him. "Then let me teach you," I whispered. "Let me show you what I like. Guide you. We have all night, Eryx. We have forever. There’s no rush."

I led him to the bed, the sheets soft beneath us, the air cool against our heated skin. I took my time undressing him, revealing the body I had admired from afar for so long. The lean strength of his chest, the narrow curve of his hips, the evidence of his desire standing proud and ready for me.

He was beautiful. Perfect. Mine.

"Touch me," I instructed, guiding his hands to my body, showing him where I was sensitive, where I craved pressure, where I needed gentleness. "Here. Like this. Yes..."

He was eager, so eager, his hands shaking as he explored me, his touch tentative at first, then growing bolder as he learned my responses, my sounds, the way my body arched into his caresses.

"You’re so soft," he whispered, his voice wonderstruck, his fingers tracing the curve of my breast, the dip of my waist, the heat between my thighs. "So beautiful. I can’t believe I’m allowed to touch you. That you’re mine."

"Yours," I confirmed, my breath hitching as he found the right spot, the perfect pressure, his thumb circling exactly where I needed him. "Just as you are mine."

I guided him through the first time, showing him the rhythm, the angle, the depth that made me cry out. He was clumsy at first, too fast, too eager, but he learned. Oh, how he learned.

"Slow," I breathed, my hands on his hips, guiding his movements. "In... and out... yes, like that. Feel me, Eryx. Feel what you do to me."

He groaned, his head falling back, his body trembling with the effort of restraint. "Krys," he gasped. "You feel... I can’t... it’s too good..."

"Not yet," I whispered, my nails digging into his back, my legs wrapping around his waist. "Make me come first. Find the spot... there... yes, right there..."

He found it. He found the rhythm, the perfect stroke, the angle that made stars explode behind my eyes. I came with a cry that surely carried to the other rooms, my body clenching around him, my pleasure washing over him in waves.

He followed seconds later, his own release tearing through him with a shout that was my name, a prayer, a promise.

But we were not done.

He learned fast. So fast.

The second time, he needed less guidance, his confidence growing, his instincts taking over. He flipped me onto my back, his mouth finding my breasts, my neck, my lips, his hands roaming my body with possessive reverence.

"Tell me what you want," he demanded, his voice rough, dominant in a way that made me shiver. "Tell me how to please you, Krys. Tell me what makes you scream."

I told him. I showed him. And he performed like a pro, like a man who had been born to please me, to love me, to worship my body with his own.

He took me hard, then soft, then hard again, varying his pace, his depth, his angle until I was sobbing with pleasure, my body wrung out, my mind blank except for the sensation of him inside me, around me, consuming me.

The third time, he was relentless.

He turned me onto my stomach, pulling my hips up, entering me from behind with a slow, delicious slide that made me claw at the sheets. He set a punishing pace, his hips slapping against mine, his hands gripping my waist, his voice growling praise and possession and love.

"Mine," he chanted, each thrust driving the word home. "Mine. My mate. My Krys. Say it. Say you’re mine."

"Yours," I gasped, my body trembling on the edge of another orgasm, my voice breaking. "Yours, Eryx. Always yours."

He came with a roar, his release triggering my own, and we collapsed together, tangled in sheets and sweat and the aftermath of mind-blowing pleasure.

I was sore. Gods, I was sore. Every muscle ached, every nerve ending sang with satisfied exhaustion. I couldn’t move, couldn’t think, could barely breathe.

And Eryx...

Eryx was glowing.

He lay beside me, his body wrapped around mine, his face buried in my hair, his hands tracing lazy patterns on my hip. He was smiling, a small, private, devastatingly happy smile that made my heart clench.

"Thank you," he whispered, pressing kisses to my shoulder, my neck, my jaw. "Thank you for teaching me. For guiding me. For... for everything."

"You learned quickly," I teased, my voice hoarse, my body throbbing with pleasant ache.

"I had a good teacher," he said, his smile widening. "And infinite motivation."

I laughed, the sound tired but happy, and snuggled closer to him, letting sleep pull me under, safe in his arms, complete in our bond.

The next morning, I couldn’t get up.

My legs shook when I tried to stand, my core ached with delicious soreness, and I collapsed back onto the bed with a groan that made Eryx laugh, the sound bright and carefree.

"Stay here," he said, pressing a kiss to my forehead. "I’ll bring you breakfast. And a bath. And anything else you need."

"Everything," I murmured, my eyes already closing again. "I need everything."

He left me dozing, and I drifted in and out of consciousness, listening to the sounds of the household waking, the children laughing, the other mates moving through their morning routines.

Then I heard it.

"Daddy Eryx!"

Tavren’s voice, clear and delighted. "Daddy Eryx, Atlas said you made mama tired! Did you give her lots of kisses?"

"Something like that," Eryx replied, his voice warm with amusement and love.

"Daddy Eryx, will you play with us today?"

"Daddy Eryx, can you help me with this?"

"Daddy Eryx..."

The title echoed through the house, spoken by each child in turn, and I heard Eryx’s response, the wonder in his voice, the joy, the acceptance.

"Yes," he said, again and again. "Yes, I will play. Yes, I will help. Yes, I am here. Daddy Eryx is here."

I smiled, tears leaking from my closed eyes, my heart so full it felt like it might burst.

Seven mates. Seven loves. Seven hearts beating in time with mine.

And a family so large, so beautiful, so impossibly perfect that I could barely comprehend my own fortune.

Eryx returned with breakfast, with flowers, with kisses that promised tonight would be just as exhausting, just as glorious.

And as he fed me berries and whispered love against my skin, I knew that this was only the beginning.

Our story continued, page after page, Chapter after Chapter, written in love and laughter and the beautiful chaos of our ever-growing family.

And I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
