I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1467 - Deluge of Desolation, Ancient Poison God

The inheritance of an Ancient God was something extremely difficult to find. Xu Zimo had always taken this matter very seriously. What was hard to find wasn’t the inheritance itself, but the location of it.

Just finding the Water God’s legacy had cost Xu Zimo tremendous effort, and that was considered good luck. If it hadn’t been for the existence of the Water Beasts, who could have ever guessed the Water God had been sealed in such a place? He might never have found him in his entire life.

Since there were still several other Ancient Gods’ inheritances left, Xu Zimo didn’t want to go through such exhausting searches one by one.

So he asked, “Which Ancient God’s clue are you going to give me?”

“The Ancient Poison God, Shebishi,” Gongtu said slowly.

Xu Zimo was startled. He knew that Shebishi was nothing like the other Ancient Gods. This was an exceptionally cruel and powerful being, his poison was unpredictable and impossible to defend against.

Back in ancient times, even the Wood God Jumang had been killed by him.

Xu Zimo’s gaze sharpened. “How do you know where his inheritance lies? Don’t tell me he’s also in the Inferno Crucible Heaven?”

“He’s not,” Gongtu replied, smiling faintly. “But the information I’m giving you is absolutely true, because I understand him well. Whether you dare to claim his inheritance or not, that’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself.”

“Deal. I’ll agree,” Xu Zimo said immediately.

He didn’t hide anything and released the blue man who had been healing inside his God World.

The blue man was still very weak, but when he appeared, there was already a faint sense of awareness in him.

“Home… have I come home?” the blue man murmured softly.

Streams of water energy around them began to surge toward him, flowing into his body at visible speed. Perhaps because he had been gone too long, the waters restored him rapidly.

“Hahaha! I knew it, you’ve met the core of the Myriad Streams,” the Water God Gongtu laughed heartily. “But I am curious. Just now I only sensed the faintest trace of him. Even I couldn’t detect his existence. Where exactly did you hide him?”

“That’s not important, is it?” Xu Zimo said casually. Of course, he wouldn’t reveal the secret of the God World. These Ancient Gods really did talk too much.

“True, true, not the key point,” Gongtu said, nodding quickly. He was so excited he had to calm himself down.

“My child,” Gongtu said warmly, “welcome home.”

“My home?” The blue man looked confused, but when he raised his head and saw the towering pillar, his expression turned to joy.

“Father! It’s really you!” he cried out.

“It’s me,” Gongtu said with a smile. “Now, use the power of the Myriad Streams to restore yourself as quickly as possible. We’ll need your strength to destroy the red men.”

At that moment, disturbances began outside.

It seemed the red men had started to suspect Xu Zimo and discovered his decoy. Fierce attacks began to rain down on the lake, as though they meant to churn it inside out. The roars of colliding energy echoed like thunderous water dragons bellowing in rage.

“Don’t worry,” Gongtu reassured. “They can’t break through for now, and they won’t find us.”

“We should plan how to kill them as soon as possible,” Xu Zimo said.

“These red men are abominations born of water. I can assist you from the side and keep the Heavenly Court from interfering. But if you want to wipe them all out, you’ll need more than just the Myriad Streams. You must also learn my divine art, Deluge of Desolation.”

“Deluge of Desolation? What’s special about it?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Don’t underestimate it,” Gongtu said with a smile. “This technique was created from the fusion of my comprehension of the Water Primal Dao and the power of universal principles. It even touches upon the Dao of Time and Space. Tell me, do you know what Infinity means?”

“What is infinity?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Infinity,” Gongtu said, “is the truth of existence. The world has no boundary. Look beyond the Departure Fire Region, and there lies the Inferno Crucible Heaven. Beyond that lie the Nine Heavens, and beyond them, the Star Ocean. The world itself is infinite. Our cultivation, too, breaking through meridian gates and shattering our shackles, is another form of infinity.”

“I think I understand,” Xu Zimo nodded slightly. “You want to use the infinite power of the Myriad Streams to eliminate the red men.”

“Yes and no,” Gongtu said. “I wouldn’t call it elimination. The red men are, after all, a derivative of my own cultivation, a product of a flawed path. What I intend is to return them to their source, to send them back to where they belong.”

“Then hurry up and pass the inheritance to me,” Xu Zimo said eagerly.

“I will,” Gongtu said with a sigh. “Just don’t disappoint me. This may be my last chance. I once believed that being sealed here meant I’d never have the strength to change anything again. But your arrival, and the return of the blue man, may be a sign of hope.”

Outside, the red men were growing more frenzied. Their voices could already be heard from within as the lake churned violently, battering against the inner walls.

“Boy, come out now, or we’ll tear you to pieces!”

“You think you can hide from us forever? If you don’t come out, we’ll overturn this entire lake and drag you out ourselves!”

Their tone was desperate, and of course they were anxious. Xu Zimo carried the clue to that escaped blue man, and they knew it.

And it wasn’t just that. They also knew the one sealed within this lake, the existence they both feared and hated. Even if that being was no longer what he once was, none of them dared take him lightly.

Outside, a furious roar broke through, the voice of a man in black robes.

“Useless! All of you are useless! How could a living man vanish right under your noses?”

The black-robed man was furious, and for good reason. The Heavenly Court had already begun investigating Xu Zimo’s identity. With their efficiency, it hadn’t taken long to find an answer.

But when the report came back, the man had been utterly stunned. The young man was none other than the Infernal Lord, the one the Heavenly Court had been hunting for so long without success.

The Heavenly Court had tried to kill him countless times, but he always survived. And now, the Infernal Lord had fallen into his hands, this accomplishment would have been worth more than completing the entire Inferno Crucible Heaven mission a hundred times over.

That was why he’d rushed here personally, to take Xu Zimo back to the Heavenly Court himself.

But now, Xu Zimo had vanished.

How could he not be enraged?

“Don’t worry,” one of the red men said quickly. “He’s definitely in the lake. He won’t escape.”

“The Heavenly Court values this matter greatly,” the black-robed man said coldly. “If he disappears, I’m afraid the Holy Progenitor will personally descend to destroy you all.”

He wasn’t exaggerating. He hadn’t yet reported this to the Holy Progenitor, or the old monster would have already arrived.

When it came to the Infernal Lord, the Holy Progenitor cared more than anyone.
