Ch. 1468 - Advancing To Chaos Primordial, Battle Begins
The red men didn’t care much about the black-robed man himself. After all, his strength was limited, and within this particle world, they could easily suppress him.
But the being behind him, the Holy Progenitor, was a different story. Forget the red men; within all Nine Heavens, who would dare ignore the Holy Progenitor?
That was the existence who had lived since the most ancient era of the gods’ enlightenment, surviving even after all the Ancient Gods had perished. Like the eternal sun in the heavens, his light illuminated everything beneath him.
For his followers, the Holy Progenitor’s existence was an immense source of encouragement. No matter what they did, as long as he was there, they felt an unshakable power supporting them from behind.
But for his enemies, the Holy Progenitor was like a giant mountain crushing their hearts, his mere presence was suffocating. Before making any move, they had to think long and hard.
The black-robed man gave a cold snort. Since the red men had already promised results, he didn’t press the issue further. Now was not the time for internal conflict, their priority was to find Xu Zimo.
His cold gaze swept across the area, filled with unfathomable depth, as if his spiritual sense could penetrate the entire lake.
The red men were equally anxious. Though they kept threatening loudly, they all knew in their hearts, they couldn’t do anything to the Myriad Streams.
After all, weren’t they themselves aberrations born from it?
At that moment, Xu Zimo sat cross-legged within the particle world.
Though the Heaven-Piercing Pillar was bound by chains, the power of the Water God Gongtu still flowed outward. To the naked eye, the surrounding coral seas were growing rapidly, expanding from a mere meter to a hundred meters tall, still swelling endlessly.
A colossal water dragon descended from the heavens, coiling around the pillar in spirals. Its draconic might echoed through the world, accompanied by deafening roars.
This dragon wasn’t a real creature, but rather a manifestation of Gongtu’s divine inheritance.
It descended with immense power, surging straight toward Xu Zimo.
Xu Zimo didn’t resist, letting the dragon merge into him completely.
A thunderous explosion followed.
It felt as though his consciousness were being purified by an endless tide. Within his body, the Myriad Streams condensed into a cubic space, constantly washing over his flesh and soul.
The power erupted again and again, waves of spirit energy cascading within him.
Xu Zimo could feel his strength rising continuously.
The sensation was strange, unique.
Before, Xu Zimo had only just entered the realm of Saint Sovereign, the first stage of Supreme Giant. Now, he was gradually stepping into the second stage, Chaos Primordial.
The so-called Chaos Primordial meant that when heaven and earth were filled to their brim, all things would lack nothing.
The power of a Chaos Primordial was the most complete and abundant energy under heaven, it was like a great vat completely filled with water, not a single drop left unused.
The human body was the vat, and every ounce of power within was compressed and refined to its utmost fullness.
The aura surrounding Xu Zimo grew stronger and stronger.
While he cultivated toward Chaos Primordial, he also absorbed the inheritance of the Water God Gongtu, doing both at once, without neglecting either.
Time passed, and no matter what chaos stirred outside, Xu Zimo remained in his special state of focus.
Gongtu did not disturb him. To him, the stronger Xu Zimo became, the greater their chances of success. He had every reason to hope for Xu Zimo’s growth.
No one knew how long it had been before Xu Zimo’s awareness became clear again.
His perception of the surrounding water currents had grown incredibly sharp, as if he were a fish returning to the sea, the water itself now felt like home.
The spirit energy in his body had grown a million times more dense and finally broke through, he had officially ascended into a Chaos Primordial.
All in all, Xu Zimo was quite satisfied.
But now, an intense battle awaited him.
Opening his eyes, he immediately calmed his aura.
“Are you ready?” Gongtu asked. “If you are, I’ll send you out.”
“What about him?” Xu Zimo looked toward the blue man.
“He’s fully recovered,” Gongtu said with a smile. “Within this lake of Myriad Streams, there’s no killing him. With his aid, you’ll be able to master the entire Myriad Streams more swiftly.”
Xu Zimo nodded slightly. “True enough. Then it’s about time I go meet them. By now, they’re probably going mad trying to find me.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a surge of immense power erupted.
The particle world around them began to close, and Xu Zimo and the blue man shot outward.
Outside, a group of red men had surrounded the lake so tightly that not even a drop of water could escape.
At that moment, the lake began to ripple and churn, as though something inside were about to break free.
“He’s coming out!” one of the red men shouted.
All eyes turned to the center of the lake.
The bubbling grew louder and more violent until, boom!, a massive splash erupted, and Xu Zimo’s figure shot up from the water, stepping into the air.
The instant he appeared, over a dozen red men lunged toward him, trying to seize him at once.
“Get lost!” Xu Zimo roared.
With one powerful kick after another, explosions rang through the air, as more than a dozen red men were sent flying.
Xu Zimo stood tall, his expression cold and commanding as he looked down at them.
“You’re unharmed?” the black-robed man asked in disbelief.
He knew Xu Zimo had been struck by the Curse of Absolute Destruction, something even the Myriad Streams shouldn’t have been able to heal so quickly. Yet not only was Xu Zimo completely fine, his aura was far stronger than before.
“What’s the matter? Didn’t you want to question me?” Xu Zimo said with a faint smile.
“I caught you once; I can catch you again,” the black-robed man said coldly.
“You think you really caught me last time? I was merely going along with the current,” Xu Zimo sneered. “Even if your ancestor himself descended, I still wouldn’t fear him.”
If it came to it, he could always unleash the power left to him by the previous Infernal Lord.
That predecessor’s strength had reached the level of one who could battle the heavens themselves.
“But I’m not interested in fighting your Heavenly Court right now,” Xu Zimo continued. “Today, I’m just here to deal with these abominations.”
“Deal with us? You?”
The red men burst out laughing, as if they had just heard the greatest joke in the world.
“Did that old man beneath the lake deceive you? Even when he was alive, he couldn’t defeat us. What makes you think you can?”
Though they mocked him, the red men were extremely alert, closing in from all directions to prevent Xu Zimo from escaping.
“You’ll know once you try,” Xu Zimo said calmly.
He summoned the blue man.
At once, the lake beneath them erupted in fury.
The Myriad Streams surged up around Xu Zimo, spiraling into motion.
