I Married the President
Chapter 664: Consider It My Repayment to Her
Chapter 664: Chapter 664: Consider It My Repayment to Her
Adrian Quincy and Orion Osborne were sitting in the same car.
Orion Osborne had heard the recording as well. He analyzed, "I’ve only found five entrances to Hell’s Paradise, all at varying distances from the center. The moment your men infiltrate and are discovered, our targets will just escape through the other exits. So, to ensure your wife’s safety, we have to buy her first and then leave with her."
Adrian Quincy said in a low, firm voice, "We have to get Henry Hartwell out, too."
Orion Osborne chuckled. "Henry Hartwell isn’t my concern. You’re on your own with him. But I should warn you, 500 million won’t be enough to buy her. You’d better be prepared to spend over a billion."
Before he could finish, he noticed Adrian Quincy staring at him, his expression grim.
Orion Osborne frowned. "What’s that supposed to mean?"
"I can’t pull together a billion on such short notice. But you can."
"And why should I?"
"Get Claire out of there safely, and I’ll let you off the hook."
A wicked smirk played on Orion Osborne’s lips. "You think you can keep me contained?"
Adrian Quincy’s expression didn’t falter. "Try me."
Orion Osborne narrowed his eyes. After a moment of silence, he finally picked up his phone and gave an order. "Transfer one billion to my account immediately. I need it liquid."
After relaying the instructions, he hung up and turned to Adrian Quincy. "I’m not helping you because I’m afraid of you. She saved my life when we were kids. Just consider this me repaying the favor."
Adrian Quincy’s brow furrowed, but he said nothing.
"I’ve already told you the exact location. Drop me off at the intersection. See you underground."
SCREECH...
Adrian Quincy pulled over. The door opened, and Orion Osborne stepped out, walking off to some unknown destination.
Adrian Quincy drove on, heading in the direction of Quincy Manor.

「Two hours passed quickly.」
Everyone gathered on the dance floor again, which had now been converted into a large-scale auction hall. The seating was random, but the heavy hitters who had secured bidding qualifications all vied for the front-row seats.
Theo Rhodes sat in an inconspicuous corner, holding paddle number 405. He occasionally glanced up at the auction stage to see what was happening.
The people around him were growing restless, and a buzz of discussion started to fill the air.
"I remember the last batch they auctioned off was from Xylos. The price was steep, but they were absolutely worth it. Tsk, tsk... incredible. Everything auctioned at Hell’s Paradise is top-shelf stuff!"
"We’re just here to watch. You can’t even get in the game without four or five hundred million."
"Didn’t you hear what the auctioneer said earlier? This time, the ’product’ is different."
"Pfft. Who cares how different it is? You still just buy it to ruin it however you want. I don’t give a damn about any of that other stuff, as long as it’s good-looking..."
Just then, several burly men emerged from behind the high stage, carrying a heavy iron cage. The cage was draped in black cloth, concealing whatever was locked inside.
The auctioneer walked up to the cage and announced with a flourish, "Ladies and gentlemen, inside this cage is the product we’ll be auctioning tonight—’Nation’s Ruin’! This lot is different from our previous offerings. It is not an exotic specimen, and it is over twenty years of age. But what it possesses in its mind... is something every man in the world desires."
The words had barely left his mouth when someone in the audience shouted impatiently, "Stop dragging it out! Uncover it!"
"Open the cage!"
"Open the cage! Open the cage! Open the cage!"
...
The auctioneer gave a mysterious smile and said in a loud voice, "Patience, everyone. This particular item comes with a certain... unpredictability. Even if you buy it, there’s no guarantee it will be to your benefit. However, I believe everyone here has their own unique skills. If you can manage to persuade it, you will not only gain control over a mysterious power, but also obtain an unimaginable fortune."
