Chapter 624: Chapter 624 Convincing the Immortal Sword She is a Carrot
One of the masked men turned toward Hazel and Ning Xi.
Hazel finally recovered from her shock.
"What are you..."
She was about to shout for help.
But before she could make a sound, a strong hand immediately covered her mouth.
"Don’t shout," the man whispered coldly.
"Or I’ll kill your boyfriend."
Hazel’s entire body froze. Fear flashed across her face.
She looked toward the unconscious Lin Feng being carried away and immediately nodded.
The man slowly removed his hand.
"Good."
"Now cooperate."
The group was forced toward the waiting white van.
Hazel’s mind was in chaos.
She had never experienced anything like this before.
Her life had always been protected by security, wealth, and influence.
She had dealt with angry fans, business rivals, and difficult situations...
But never something like this. Her eyes trembled as she looked at Lin Feng.
For the first time since meeting him, she felt truly helpless.
Yet beside her... Ning Xi remained completely calm.
In fact, as Hazel glanced at her, she noticed something strange.
There was no fear on Ning Xi’s face. No panic and no desperation.
Instead... There was a faint smile.
An amused expression, almost as if she was watching a performance that she already knew the ending to.
Hazel stared at her in confusion.
Why is she smiling?
She didn’t understand.
But Ning Xi knew something the attackers didn’t.
They believed they had captured Lin Feng. They believed they had won.
Unfortunately for them...
They had no idea who they had just provoked.
The masked men roughly ushered Ning Xi into the back of the white van.
She offered no resistance.
She simply stepped inside as though she were boarding an ordinary vehicle, her calm demeanor leaving several of the kidnappers feeling strangely uneasy.
One of the men then reached for Hazel.
Just as he was about to force her into the van as well, a commanding voice came from the front.
"Leave the director."
The apparent leader spoke in a firm, unquestionable tone.
"We’re not taking her."
The kidnapper grabbing Hazel paused for only a fraction of a second.
"...Understood."
None of the others questioned the order. They had been trained not to ask why.
Their job was to obey.
The man released Hazel and gave her a forceful shove, causing her to stumble backward a few steps.
Before she could regain her balance, the van doors slammed shut.
Bang!
The engine roared to life.
Moments later, the convoy sped out of the parking lot, disappearing into the night.
Hazel stood frozen, staring at the taillights until they vanished from sight.
Her mind was completely blank.
Everything had happened so quickly that she barely had time to process it.
Lin Feng had been taken.
Ning Xi had gone with him.
And she had been left behind.
Barely a minute later, several armed bodyguards rushed into the parking lot from different directions.
Each of them had a handgun drawn as they scanned the area for any remaining threat.
The leader hurried straight toward Hazel.
"Miss Hazel!"
He looked her over from head to toe, making sure she wasn’t injured.
"Are you all right?"
Hazel slowly nodded, though her face was still pale.
"...I’m fine."
The bodyguard let out a quiet sigh of relief.
"We saw everything."
"If we’d opened fire, there was too much risk of hitting you."
Hazel understood.
Her security team’s hesitation had probably saved her life.
If a firefight had broken out in the middle of the parking lot, the consequences could have been disastrous.
Taking a deep breath, she finally looked at her bodyguard.
Her voice was quieter than usual, but there was determination behind it.
"I want you to find Lin Feng."
She swallowed hard.
"Please."
The bodyguard gave a firm nod.
"Yes, Miss Hazel."
"I’ll mobilize every available team immediately."
"We’ll review the surveillance cameras, track the vans, and notify all of our contacts."
"No matter where they’ve taken him..."
"We’ll do everything we can to find him."
Hazel watched the empty road where the vans had disappeared.
For the first time in years, she felt completely powerless.
She could only hope that Lin Feng and Ning Xi were safe.
Little did she know...
The people she was desperately trying to rescue were far more dangerous than the kidnappers who had taken them.

Meanwhile, inside the speeding van, Lin Feng slowly opened his eyes.
He deliberately let out a faint groan and pretended to be disoriented.
Lin Feng was a natural actor who could easily excel in his upcoming movies without much effort. He was simply born for the screen.
"...Where am I?"
He glanced around the dim interior of the vehicle before lowering his gaze to his wrists.
A pair of heavy steel handcuffs had been locked around them.
Turning his head, he saw that Ning Xi was sitting beside him in identical restraints.
The two exchanged a brief glance. Neither of them looked remotely worried.
Instead, they appeared almost... relaxed. Ning Xi smiled faintly.
"So, you’ve finally decided to wake up."
Her tone was as calm as if they were discussing dinner rather than being kidnapped.
She tilted her head slightly.
"Do you want me to deal with them?"
Her words were spoken at a perfectly normal volume, allowing every masked man inside the van to hear them clearly.
Several of the kidnappers exchanged amused glances.
One of them almost laughed.
Deal with us?
The couple was handcuffed, surrounded, and completely at their mercy.
To the kidnappers, Ning Xi’s question sounded more like a joke than a threat.
Even so, none of them responded. They maintained complete silence.
They had been trained never to engage in unnecessary conversation during an operation.
Every spoken word could reveal an accent... A habit... An identity...
Professionals left as little to chance as possible. Unfortunately for them...
Their professionalism meant very little against someone like Lin Feng.
Lin Feng leaned back comfortably against his seat and smiled.
"No need."
"We’ll deal with the problem at its source."
"If we only remove the branches..."
"...the tree will simply grow back."
"I’d rather pull it out by the roots."
Ning Xi nodded.
"As you wish."
