Chapter 623: Chapter 623 Snatched Across Ten Thousand Li Just to be Forced to Wash Dishes

"Are you sure that’s the man?"

Another nodded confidently.

"I’m certain."

"The boss wants to speak with him personally."

The first man frowned.

"You really think he’s connected to Preston’s disappearance?"

"I do."

"Preston and his men vanished immediately after confronting him. Preston wanted to get the girl."

"Preston wanted to get the girl. How fucking typical. I can’t count how many times that horny piece of shit has landed us in a mess."

"Fine by me. It’s the only reason we get paid the big bucks."

"Babysitting," someone spat on the ground.

The group fell silent. They didn’t love being the bad guys, but they sure as hell loved the money.

"Cut the chatter. Let’s do the job and head home," the boss said.

Everyone had their reasons for being here.

They weren’t going to turn over a new leaf in the middle of a job.

This was no time for introspection, second guessing, or growing a conscience.

That was what shrinks were paid for.

Three hours later, Lin Feng and the two women finally walked out of the restaurant.

By then, Hazel had discovered yet another unbelievable thing about Lin Feng.

How could he possibly eat that much?!

She screamed inwardly, still unable to believe what she had just witnessed.

When all the dishes had first arrived, the enormous table had been completely covered with food.

It looked as though it could easily satisfy a banquet of a hundred people.

Hazel and Ning Xi had eaten a perfectly normal amount.

They sampled a little of everything, chatted between bites, and stopped once they were comfortably full.

Lin Feng, however...

Was an entirely different story.

After the two women had finished eating, he calmly continued.

Plate after plate disappeared. Bowls were emptied.

Platters that had once been overflowing with food were left spotless.

Even the waiters passing by couldn’t help but steal curious glances at their table.

One of them had quietly whispered to another,

"Is he competing in some eating challenge?"

Another shook his head in amazement.

"I’ve worked here for eight years."

"I’ve never seen anyone eat that much."

By the time Lin Feng finally set down his chopsticks, every single dish on the table had been finished.

There wasn’t even a grain of rice left behind. Hazel stared at him in disbelief.

Then...

Her eyes slowly drifted toward his stomach. It remained as flat as ever.

There wasn’t the slightest sign that he had just consumed enough food to feed several families.

Lin Feng noticed where she was looking and couldn’t help but chuckle.

"That was nothing."

He casually patted his stomach.

"I could eat an entire buffalo and still have plenty of room left."

Hazel blinked.

"...You’re joking."

Lin Feng simply smiled.

"I’m not."

He wasn’t exaggerating in the slightest.

Ever since reaching his current cultivation realm, ordinary hunger had long ceased to affect him.

He could go a trillion years without eating and remain perfectly healthy.

However...

That didn’t mean he had lost his appreciation for good food.

On the contrary, he still enjoyed tasting delicious meals whenever the opportunity arose.

The only difference was that his body had become unimaginably extraordinary.

Its capacity far surpassed that of any ordinary human.

If he truly wished to eat seriously...

A single buffalo wouldn’t even qualify as an appetizer.

In fact, Lin Feng suspected that even if an entire mountain of food were placed before him, he could finish it all without feeling completely satisfied.

Thinking about it, he smiled helplessly.

"My appetite has become a little unreasonable."

"A little?"

Hazel laughed.

"I think ’terrifying’ is a much better word."

Even Ning Xi couldn’t help but giggle.

She had witnessed Lin Feng’s incredible appetite before, but seeing other people react to it was still amusing.

The three continued towards the parking lot, chatting and laughing together.

To passersby, they looked like nothing more than three close companions enjoying a pleasant night out.

None of them realized...

Several pairs of eyes were quietly watching their every move from the shadows.

When they reached the parking lot, the peaceful atmosphere suddenly changed.

Before Lin Feng and the two women could even reach Hazel’s car, several figures emerged from the shadows.

They were dressed completely in black, with their faces covered.

There were about half a dozen of them, and unlike ordinary criminals, they moved with clear discipline.

No shouting. No unnecessary threats. No wasted movements.

The moment they appeared, their eyes immediately locked onto the biggest threat among the three.

Lin Feng.

Hazel noticed it as well. These people weren’t here to rob them. They had a target.

The men moved quickly, surrounding the group from different directions.

Lin Feng calmly looked at them.

Based on their movements alone, he could tell they weren’t ordinary people.

They had training, coordination, and experience.

However, against him, none of that mattered.

If Hazel wasn’t standing beside him, these people would have disappeared in an instant, just like Preston and his group had before.

A simple flick of his hand would have been enough to send them all to meet Big Fatty Zhang San.

But Hazel was here. And he didn’t want to reveal too much in front of her.

So instead...

Lin Feng made a choice.

The moment the men fired their tasers, he allowed the electricity to strike him.

His body shook slightly. Then he collapsed.

"Lin Feng!"

Hazel’s eyes widened in shock.

For a moment, she couldn’t believe what she had just seen.

The man who seemed impossible to surprise had fallen right in front of her.

The attackers immediately moved.

Two men grabbed Lin Feng and carried him toward one of the large white vans waiting nearby.

Ning Xi watched everything silently. She raised one delicate eyebrow.

But surprisingly, she didn’t panic. She didn’t scream. She didn’t try to stop them.

Instead, there was almost a faint trace of amusement in her beautiful eyes.

The attackers didn’t notice.

They only saw a calm beautiful woman standing there.

To them, she looked like someone who had frozen from fear.
