Chapter 464: Blessing

The twelve streaks of purple light released vast amounts of purple radiance and actually trapped a small portion of the pure-white pillars of light within twelve enormous purple spheres of light.

Immediately afterward, a sphere of dazzling golden light fell from the crown of the enormous purple tree.

As it descended into midair, it suddenly moved even faster than the twelve streaks of purple light, flying directly in front of the descending pillars of pure-white light.

Then, after a dazzling flash of golden-purple radiance that seemed to cover the heavens and earth, more than half of the pure-white pillars of light disappeared.

But it did not end there.

After most of the pillars of light vanished, the golden-purple sphere did not remain behind. Instead, it flew toward the sky.

As it reached the middle of its ascent, an enormous purple sphere suddenly appeared beside it. This purple sphere was countless times larger than the golden sphere itself.

It shot rapidly toward the enormous purple eye in the sky and then suddenly exploded.

A deafening explosion rang out, followed by an even more dazzling burst of golden-purple light.

For an instant, the people could see nothing and hear nothing.

When they could finally see and hear again, two round purple suns had appeared in the sky.

The sky had once again returned to its familiar purple color, with occasional pale-purple and pale-black clouds drifting across it.

What the people could not see was that beneath the radiance of the two purple suns, six men and six women with purple hair and purple eyes, each with a different appearance, simultaneously knelt on the ground.

In unison, they shouted:

"Greetings, our King! Our King is mighty! Congratulations on the descent of our King! May the demonic fortune prosper!"

"Rise."

A dignified male voice came from within the hazy golden radiance.

Then, the figure standing more than two meters tall raised his head and gazed up at the enormous trunk and crown of the Star Demon Mother Tree.

"Mother, your son has obtained the light. Please offer it to the Creator..."

The leaves on the crown of the Star Demon Mother Tree swayed together. Although it did not utter a single word, the Star Demon King wrapped in golden-purple radiance and the other twelve Star Demons seemed to have received some kind of instruction.

Led by the Star Demon King within the golden-purple radiance, they raised both hands in a gesture of offering. The other twelve Star Demons followed his movements.

As they did so, a palm-sized golden-purple sphere of light and twelve purple spheres of light roughly the size of human heads appeared. They all emitted dazzling radiance and flew toward the trunk of the Star Demon Mother Tree high above.

When they reached the middle of the trunk, a huge opening appeared in it.

All the spheres of light were immediately drawn into the trunk through the opening and sent toward Xiao Shou.

Once they reached his side, the spheres opened one after another, releasing enough light-attribute spiritual particles for him to refine into vitality, repairing and regenerating the damage throughout his body.

Just as Xiao Shou was giving his all to absorb the light-attribute spiritual particles, refine them into vitality, and repair and regenerate his damaged tissues, internal organs, meridians, and other parts of his body, the sky, which had already calmed down, suddenly developed an enormous purple vortex.

The purple vortex contained not the slightest trace of malice. After slowly rotating for a while, it suddenly spat out a large mass of pure purple energy that descended directly toward the Star Demon Mother Tree.

It then passed through the Star Demon Mother Tree and arrived in front of Xiao Shou, quietly floating there without moving.

At the same time, Xiao Shou, who was deeply immersed in meditation, the consciousness of the Star Demon Mother Tree, the Star Demon King, and the twelve first-generation Star Demons all heard a voice, or perhaps an impartial and selfless consciousness.

"Descendant of the Ancient Gods, Xiao Shou has created a new demon race and perfected the Yin-Yang cycle of the demon race. This achievement benefits the Demon Dao. Therefore, the Demon Dao hereby rewards him with ten thousand years of Demon Dao merit."

"It may be converted into ten thousand years of pure Demon Dao cultivation, or it may be used to refine a demonic treasure. Please accept this Demon Dao merit."

After this voice, or consciousness, stopped speaking, the purple vortex in the sky disappeared.

As expected, the human world has the Heavenly Dao, while the Demon Realm has the Demon Dao.

Hewonder if the legendary Netherworld, which exists as an independent realm, also has a Nether Dao?

But whether it does or not has nothing to do with him.

As for the Demon Dao merit, Xiao Shou was not a demonic cultivator. The ten thousand years of Demon Dao cultivation or a demonic treasure would be completely useless to him. It was not like receiving cultivation from the Dao of cultivation or a spirit treasure.

Awakened from his deep meditation by the Demon Dao, Xiao Shou continued to multitask. He continued refining the light-attribute spiritual particles and transforming them into pure vitality while thinking.

The Demon Dao merit was useless to him, but it would be extremely useful to the Star Demon Mother Tree and the newly born Star Demons.

They had only recently been born, so this was precisely the time when they needed to accumulate strength.

Moreover, he had only survived this ordeal because of them.

Given Xiao Shou’s current condition, he had no way to repay them. For now, he could only borrow the Demon Dao’s gift to express his gratitude.

Xiao Shou felt that he could never forget the sight of the Star Demon Mother Tree maintaining his vitality while enduring the pain of being purified and burned by the light-attribute spiritual particles, all so that it could offer that light-attribute power to him.

Faced with such devotion, even though he was their Creator, he should still respect them as equal beings.
