Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Forced to Sign a Beast Servant Contract

Early the next morning, while the rain was still light, Loki brought ten young females along with their mates, as well as Miche, to the Golden Dragon Clan. Their goal was simple: to get the medicine. The clan members’ illness could no longer be delayed; otherwise, they would face total annihilation.

The young females and males were ashen-faced. Never had they imagined they would be pushed forward by their own clan as bargaining chips. The males clenched their fists tightly. It was infuriating—their strength had plummeted due to the illness, leaving them utterly powerless to protect themselves against the Snow Wolf Clan’s guards.

Because their group was so large, their arrival in Golden Dragon Clan territory quickly put the locals on high alert.

Inside his stone house, Laxus twitched his ears. "Mother, it sounds like there’s some commotion outside."

Ophelia lowered her eyes. "It’s probably Loki bringing people over again."

"He actually agreed to your demands?" Laxus found it unbelievable.

Loki’s group had arrived with such a massive presence that the members of the Golden Dragon Clan, including the elders, all came out to see what was happening.

"Ophelia, didn’t you want ten young females? I’ve brought them all to you now," Loki declared. "You can give me the medicine now, right?"

Since this was an open and honest trade rather than a desperate plea for medicine, Loki puffed out his chest with righteous confidence.

"These are the ones you brought?" Ophelia glanced over the ten young females and chuckled. "Why do they look so weak and sickly?"

"This..." Loki was momentarily at a loss for words.

Before he could think of how to respond, Ophelia had already seen right through his thoughts. "Heh, bringing these severely ill females to my doorstep. You’ve really played your cards well, Loki." She sneered. "And this elderly female who has completely lost her ability to bear children—were you planning to dump her on the Golden Dragon Clan for her retirement?"

Loki flushed, refusing to admit it. Lying through his teeth, he argued, "These are already the best young females we have. The others are so sick they can’t even get out of bed."

"I don’t care what your reasons are. I don’t want females who can’t bear children. Take all these sickly females back with you."

Did Loki genuinely think she couldn’t tell? His plan was nothing more than sending over these deathly ill females and their mates so that the Golden Dragon Clan would be forced to treat them for free. His ulterior motives were so glaringly obvious they were practically slapping her in the face.

"Ophelia, don’t be angry." Miche’s eyes flickered. "We’ve delivered the ten females as agreed. You never said they had to be healthy and fertile."

Unfazed by these words, Ophelia maintained a cold expression and scoffed dismissively, "If my demands aren’t met, the medicine trade is off the table!"

With the medicine in her hands, she held all the leverage. Including the elderly female this time was merely Loki’s way of testing her bottom line. She would make sure he understood her absolute resolve—her words were final.

"Ophelia, are you really going to leave them to die? You’re the Snow Wolf Clan’s last hope." Miche grew anxious, continuing to press Ophelia. Her tone carried a heavy dose of moral blackmail, and she looked so frantic that she was on the verge of tears.

However, Ophelia completely ignored Miche’s act. Not taking her seriously at all, she mocked, "And if I don’t agree, what exactly can you do about it?"

"Ophelia, I know you’re mad at me. But as long as you promise to save the Snow Wolf Clan, I will do anything you ask." Miche gritted her teeth, putting on a highly righteous and self-sacrificing front. Not only was she trying to guilt-trip Ophelia, but she was also putting on a show for Loki. She wanted him to see just how much humiliation she was willing to endure to help him secure the position of Clan Leader.

Ophelia crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow. "Is that true? Are you really willing to do anything?"

"Yes." Miche nodded eagerly, her eyes brimming with fake sincerity. "As long as you name it, I will do it."

Seeing that Ophelia still showed no signs of handing over the medicine, she lowered her voice submissively. "I’m begging you, please save them."

"Alright," Ophelia agreed cheerfully.

A flash of astonishment crossed Miche’s eyes. She never expected Ophelia to agree so easily. Her little performance was purely meant to garner sympathy from Ophelia and make Loki feel sorry for her in the process. Little did she know, this was a trap Ophelia had deliberately dug for her, just waiting for her to fall into the snare and willingly jump in.

"If you are truly willing to sacrifice yourself for the Snow Wolf Clan, I can overlook everything and give you the medicine," Ophelia said, a playful smile playing on her lips.

Loki breathed a sigh of relief. As expected, it all came down to Miche. She had truly suffered a great grievance for him, and he swore to properly compensate her once they returned.

However, upon realizing that this sacrifice meant she would have to become a slave, Miche’s reluctance flared up again.

"I’m naturally willing," Miche said, "but I don’t know if you’ll actually keep your word. What if you go back on it and withhold the medicine?"

She was trying to use reverse psychology to goad Ophelia into handing over the medicine first, planning to turn hostile and refuse to honor her end of the bargain afterward.

"If you don’t trust me, then don’t come to me for medicine." With that, Ophelia turned to head back into her stone house.

"Wait! We never said we didn’t trust you," Loki shouted frantically.

"Fine. Then have Miche swear an oath to the Beast God that she is willing to become my Beast Servant. As long as she swears it, I’ll give you the medicine."

"What? You want me to be your Beast Servant?!" Miche’s eyes widened in utter shock.

She had only been paying lip service; never did she expect Ophelia to make such a demand. But if she refused now, it would prove that all her previous grand words were entirely fake. Miche was now truly backed into a corner.

She hesitated, her mind racing as she tried to think of a way to make Ophelia change her mind. If she signed a Master-Servant Contract, her entire life would be over. A Beast Servant was the lowest existence possible.

"Not willing anymore?" Ophelia mocked her. "Didn’t you just say you were willing to do anything? Don’t tell me you were just all talk and actually unwilling to give up anything at all."

The surrounding crowd all turned their gazes toward Miche.

Miche bit her lip, looking as though she had been horribly wronged. "I... I’m not! As long as we can get the medicine, of course I’m willing to do anything. But can you give it to me first? The Snow Wolf Clan members really need it right now."

Even now, Miche was still hoping to get her hands on the medicine first. It was an absolute pipe dream.

"Since you’re truly willing to do anything, then swear your oath to the Beast God right now." Ophelia pressed her step by step, fully prepared to forge the Beast Servant contract immediately. "Clan Doctor, bring out the Contract Stone."

With that said, Ophelia requested the Contract Stone from Grayson, the clan doctor. As long as the contract was signed, there would be no way for Miche to run away.

"Just drip a single drop of your blood into it, and the Beast Servant contract will be complete. After that, I can give you as much medicine as you want." Holding the Contract Stone, Ophelia advanced toward Miche step by step.
