Chapter 134: Chapter 134: The Secret of the Spatial Stream Water

Ophelia wanted to say more, but seeing her mother’s uncompromising attitude and thinking of how much she had worried over the past few days, she could only agree.

Thus began her forced postpartum confinement.

The little dragon cubs could feed themselves from birth and weren’t picky eaters, so they only needed to be given porridge and roasted meat every day. Zerev took over this job entirely, leaving Ophelia with absolutely nothing to do. Stuck in confinement, she spent every day confined to the stone house.

To ensure she was resting properly, Rebecca would drop by for surprise inspections from time to time.

One day, unable to hold back her curiosity, Ophelia decided to step out and check on the pigs in the pen. But the moment she stood before the pigpen, Rebecca hurried over as if guided by a radar.

Huffing with anger, Rebecca stood on her tiptoes and pulled Ophelia’s ear. "Why are you so disobedient?

"If you don’t take good care of your body after giving birth, you’ll suffer for it when you’re older."

Ophelia hurriedly begged for mercy and shot Tyler a pleading look.

A faint smile touched Tyler’s lips as he pulled Ophelia behind him. He said gently, "Rebecca, I will definitely keep a close eye on the Princess from now on. I won’t let her take a single step out of the stone house. Please forgive her this once."

As a result, Ophelia’s range of activity was strictly limited to the stone house. Since Ali had injured her foot and couldn’t go out either, Ophelia didn’t even have anyone to confide in.

Bored out of her mind, Ophelia had no choice but to enter the System Space to pass the time by farming. Thanks to her tireless efforts recently, the warehouse in the System Space was now filled with five thousand catties of grain and nearly a hundred catties of various fruits.

One day, after staying in the System Space for nearly three hours, Ophelia felt thirsty and went to fetch water from the stream inside. The stream was incredibly clear, its surface sparkling under the sunlight.

After drawing a pitcher of water, she poured it into an electric kettle to heat it up, wanting to taste it. A single sip left her rather surprised. The water tasted crisp and sweet.

It was somewhat different from the mountain spring water she had drunk before. This stream water seemed to possess a certain magic. As it flowed down her throat, it felt like a gentle spring rain seeping into her bones and limbs, washing away all her physical fatigue.

Ophelia was slightly stunned.

Previously, to avoid raising suspicion, she had always rushed in and out of the System Space, so she had never bothered to taste the stream water. Now that she was savoring it, she realized it was remarkably unique.

Ever since that first sip, Ophelia found that any other water she drank outside the System Space tasted completely bland. From then on, whenever she needed a drink, she solely drank the water from the System Space.

Over time, she felt her body undergo some changes, and a faint realization began to form in her mind. She recalled how Tyler and Zerev had initially been rejected by the System Space for being foreign entities, only able to stay inside for a maximum of half an hour. Exceeding that limit would cause them to experience symptoms of hypoxia—difficulty breathing and turning purple in the face.

Later, however, for some unknown reason, the amount of time they could spend in the System Space gradually increased. It was then she remembered how much the dragon cubs loved playing in the stream, which led the two men to constantly soak in the water with them.

She wondered, "Could it be..."

Looking at the babbling brook before her, Ophelia made a decision. She needed to verify her theory.

Over the next five days, Ophelia deliberately had Tyler drink the stream water from the System Space, while Zerev drank normal water. She carefully observed their conditions, but outwardly, there was nothing unusual.

Then, she brought them both into the System Space and silently timed how long they could stay.

An hour passed—this had previously been the absolute limit for how long Tyler and Zerev could remain inside. Ophelia glanced at Zerev beside her and noticed that his face had already started flushing red.

She turned to Tyler and asked, "How do you feel, Tyler? Are you experiencing any oxygen deprivation?"

Tyler shook his head.

"What about you, Zerev?"

Zerev thumped his tight chest. "I can barely breathe."

Ophelia quickly handed Zerev a glass of water. Soon, she noticed his severely flushed face beginning to ease.

Clarity washed over her.

"It seems I’ve found the reason why you can stay in the System Space longer."

Tyler and Zerev both looked at her in confusion.

"It’s because of the stream water in here."

"The stream water?"

"I’ve been giving Tyler this stream water for the past few days, which is why he can stay here longer than you, Zerev."

"Does that mean if we drink more of it, we’ll be able to stay in the System Space for long periods, just like you?"

Ophelia pursed her lips and nodded. "You could say that, though I don’t know what the upper limit is."

After all, Zerev and Tyler were still foreign entities. The system couldn’t possibly allow them to stay indefinitely.

"But since the dragon cubs are no longer in the System Space, you guys don’t need to come in often anyway. The time limit doesn’t really matter anymore."

Having discovered that the stream water could extend their stay, Ophelia lost her newfound sense of purpose. With too much free time on her hands, anxiety crept back in. Her mind involuntarily wandered to the rice and corn planted outside the tribe.

Judging by the calendar, the corn and rice had reached a critical stage of growth. She didn’t know how they were faring, whether they had encountered any pests, or if they needed topdressing fertilizer. The more she thought about it, the more uncertain she felt. She was desperate to know how the crops were doing.

Even though Tyler and Zerev repeatedly assured her that the rice and corn were fine, she couldn’t rest easy without seeing them for herself.

When a person was idle, their imagination would run wild. This led to Ophelia losing sleep for several nights.

Tyler noticed her change in demeanor. "Princess, what’s wrong? You’ve been in a bad mood lately."

"I’m just so bored being cooped up in the house. I want to go out, but if my mother finds out, I’ll never hear the end of it."

Tyler could tell that she was miserable staying at home. "Don’t worry, Princess. I’ll go talk to Rebecca properly tomorrow."

Ophelia pondered this. Her mother did like Tyler a lot, so perhaps she would listen to him.

The next morning, at the Golden Dragon Clan.

Tyler arrived at the Clan Leader’s stone house carrying two pieces of prey. The moment she saw him, Rebecca immediately set down her stone bowl of food.

She walked over to greet him with a smile. "Tyler, what brings you here? Is Ophelia misbehaving again?"

Tyler shook his head. "No, it’s just that I see the Princess is unhappy staying at home, so I want to let her..."

Rebecca frowned. "Did Ophelia send you? She doesn’t even know how to cherish her own body, and she has the nerve to ask you to intercede for her."

"Rebecca, please don’t worry. The Princess and Zerev are bound by a life-and-death contract.

"She possesses half of Zerev’s strength, so the physical toll of giving birth was minimal for her. Her current constitution is virtually identical to that of a normal male.

"Therefore, I’d like to ask you to end the Princess’s confinement period."

Hearing Tyler say this, Rebecca sighed. "Fine. If that’s the case, I won’t stop her. Let her do whatever she wants."

With that, Tyler returned to the Fuzu Tribe and delivered the good news to Ophelia.
