I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 329: A-Class
Leon and the others kept advancing through the tunnel. More and more hordes of lizard men tried to stop their advance. But every single one of them had died. Their ranks had increased from E-Class to B-Class by now. But no matter which rank the monster was, no matter how many of them came at once, all faced the same fate.
Leon had tried taking some attacks, though. Only from those who had poison magic. But his poison resistance still remained at 28.31%.
At the moment, Leon was facing another horde of lizard men. Initially, more than one hundred lizard men had attacked him at once. But at the moment, only six remained. All six monsters’ bodies were covered in a layer of greenish energy.
Poisonous aura.
The six of them looked at Leon warily. They had seen him take out the rest with a single blow. They couldn’t understand why they were still alive. They couldn’t turn back and run either. They knew Leon wouldn’t let it happen. So all six clenched their fists and stormed forward.
One lizard man spread its fingers open, claw-like nails snapping open from them. The aura surrounding it intensified. It closed the distance and slashed its claw-like nails at Leon.
Leon made no effort to dodge or block the attack. He let those claws rake across his chest. His clothes were torn, and five red marks appeared on his chest. But there was no anger, no pain on his face.
Instead, his lips curved up slowly.
Snow, Emily, and Sol saw it too. That smile couldn’t be hidden. "What’s big bro smiling for? And why is he letting those monsters attack him?"
No one answered. Because Emily and Snow didn’t know why either.
Meanwhile, Leon...
"Finally..." He whispered.
[The host is exposed to poison.]
[Poison resistance has increased slightly. Poison resistance 28.79%]
On the other hand, the lizard man who had just attacked stood frozen on the spot. It hadn’t expected that its attack would actually land on Leon. Its morale was instantly boosted. So were the other five’s.
They attacked Leon at once.
Slash!
Slash!
Slash!
Leon’s clothes were in tatters. Multiple wounds had appeared on his body. They had already started healing, though. But the success made the monsters go wild. Their speed increased. Their attacks grew sharper and deadlier.
But Leon had no intention to stop them. His eyes were fixated on the air before him.
[Poison resistance 30.72%]
[Poison resistance 31.53%]
"What the fuck?" Sol panicked. "Should I go and help big bro?" He asked with a worried expression.
"Wait a bit," Emily said. "Look at him carefully. Yes, he is being attacked. But those wounds... They are being healed continuously. Maybe..." Her voice trailed off.
"Maybe what?" Sol pressed.
"Maybe he is growing stronger? Maybe that’s why he wanted to come inside a dungeon in the first place?"
Everyone looked at Leon with a strange expression. "Well..." Sol started again. "If that’s really what’s going on, then that’s a strange way to get stronger."
"He is a strange person to begin with." Snow chuckled.
Leon kept taking the damage until his poison resistance stopped at 32.01%.
"I guess that’s the best these B-Class monsters can offer. I hope there are stronger ones deeper inside." Saying that, Leon vanished from his position the next moment.
He appeared before the lizard man like a ghost. Before the monster could react, Leon’s palm slammed against its chest. "Explosive fireball." He chanted.
Instantly, a swirling fireball erupted from his palm and drove the monster away. The other five monsters tried to disperse, but the monster being pushed by the fireball exploded with a loud bang the next moment. The other five were also caught in it.
Rumble!
The cave shook violently, dust and debris raining down. After a few seconds, it stopped.
Everyone walked toward Leon.
"Big bro." Sol started already. "Are you letting them hit you to get stronger?" He couldn’t suppress his curiosity anymore. The more time passed, the more mysterious Leon felt. It was one thing to be strong. But his abilities were too versatile and shocking. Growing stronger by taking hits? That was absurd. If only they knew that Leon wasn’t just growing stronger, he was closing in on awakening another affinity, they would have surely gone mad.
"Something like that," Leon said with a smile. He didn’t deny it, but he didn’t correct them on how either. It’s not that he didn’t trust them. He knew these people well. Though Snow’s reasons for sticking around him were unknown, at least to Leon, he knew that she didn’t harbor any ill intent. But he had no reason to explain everything to them either.
"Let’s get going." Leon didn’t waste too much time chatting and started walking forward again before anyone could say anything.
Others shared glances before following him without any hesitation. The deeper they went, the stronger the monsters would be. Sol, Snow, and Emily knew it very well. But they weren’t worried even the slightest bit. After all, who were they venturing into the dungeon with? It was Leon Bale. The very same young man who had killed the strongest mage in the world with just a few blows. If they weren’t safe around him, they wouldn’t be safe anywhere.
As they continued walking forward, the tunnel opened into a huge space. It didn’t seem like a tunnel anymore and finally felt like a layer of the dungeon.
The moment they stepped outside the tunnel...
Hissssss!
Hisssssss!
Ten monsters emerged from the shadows. Their skin color had grown deeper. The patches of color in their bodies were black instead of yellow. Their reptilian eyes glowed eerily.
"A-Class. These ten are A-Class monsters." Emily spoke.
This time, the monsters weren’t carrying any weapons. Four of them were carrying orbs. The other six had claws instead of fingers. Greenish liquid was dripping from those claws as they looked at the group of people before them hungrily.
"Finally, something stronger. Let’s see how much you can help me." Leon chuckled.
