I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 326: You Are Also Going?
Bella and the other five hunters looked at Leon once before dismissing him completely. Leon wasn’t emanating any aura. He had totally mastered how to conceal his energy. At least in front of those who were weaker than him.
Bella looked back at Emily. Emily also looked at her. Both walked forward, heading toward each other.
"Why are you here?" Emily was the first one to speak.
"I need the poison crystal," Bella replied.
"For Grandpa Haskins?" Emily asked, concern visible in her eyes.
"Yes. He doesn’t have much time left. And without him, our family is going through a lot too. And I don’t want to..." She started but couldn’t finish. For a moment, her cold demeanour cracked. She looked like a helpless person, wandering in an unknown place for any help she could gather.
While they were speaking, another car stopped before the Lizard’s den. And the person who came out was none other than Sol. Jason had tried to bring him home, but he had fled while Jason wasn’t noticing.
"You are here?" Leon asked, bewildered.
"Yeah," Sol answered sheepishly. "No way I could miss the opportunity to see you in action."
Emily also noticed Sol’s arrival but didn’t say anything. After all, she was the one who had informed Sol where they were.
Leon shook his head in resignation. "By the way... Who is she?" Leon asked Sol in a hushed voice. Hearing their conversation, it was clear that Emily and Bella knew each other.
"That’s Bella Haskins. She is Emily’s best friend. If I didn’t know them personally, I would have mistaken them for sisters. Emily is not even half as considerate as she is toward her. Can you believe it? I am her own brother, for God’s sake."
Back to Emily and Bella.
"But acquiring something from within this dungeon is impossible. Even Father wouldn’t go." Emily said.
"I know. But I have a plan." Bella replied.
"What plan?"
Instead of replying, Bella brought out something from a pouch on her waist. A translucent orb. Leon’s eyes narrowed the moment he saw it. ’A transportation crystal? Where did she get it?’ He wondered.
"What’s that?" Emily asked again.
"It’s a magic crystal. It can teleport a certain number of people from one place to another."
Emily was shocked beyond words. She had already seen what these crystals were capable of. But these weren’t even rare. They were impossible to find. But here Bella was. Standing with a transportation crystal. She had the urge to ask immediately where she got it, but prevented herself from doing that. She knew what condition Bella was in now.
"But even with that crystal, your exit plan doesn’t seem solid. Those monsters inside are no weaklings. Even the weakest ones are B-Class lizards."
"But I have no other option. Either I will bring out that poison crystal, or I will just die there inside the dungeon. It’s better than being a training resource for someone else."
Emily went silent at those words. She didn’t know what to say. But Bella then spoke. "Why are you here? At least I have a reason. But what about you? Are you here for inspection or something?"
"No. I am planning to enter the dungeon." Emily replied without hesitation.
"What?" Bella was taken aback. "You are really planning to enter the dungeon? Why? I asked Uncle last time. Asked if he would enter the dungeon and help me retrieve the crystal. But he said no."
"Father had his reasons."
"I know, and I am not blaming him. I am just wondering why you are entering the dungeon."
"It’s a long story. But maybe you are finally in luck. Today you may get your hands on the poison crystal."
"What?" Bella froze. She didn’t know whether to be happy or doubtful. Her heart wanted to believe it, cling to hope that she could finally have it and save her grandfather. But logic made no sense. Emily was talented, yes. But she was just a S-Class hunter. Even Disaster Class hunters would cower before dungeons like these.
Emily walked toward her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "It’s good that we met here. And though not intentional, I am glad that Leon chose this dungeon first."
"Leon?" Bella repeated, confused.
"You don’t need to know much. Just wait outside the dungeon. No need to enter it. Once we are done, you will have the poison crystal."
The other hunters with Bella exchanged glances. They had no idea what was going on. First, they didn’t want to enter the dungeon. But they couldn’t let Bella enter the dungeon on her own either. But just when they were about to enter the dungeon, another group arrived. What was even more shocking was that Emily Flemming was in the new group. And now? She wanted to enter the dungeon too? And she was even confident. Confident about clearing an S-Class dungeon.
"Emily, are you serious?"
"Do you think I would ever joke about something like this?"
"Huh!" Sol sneered from the back. "Joke about this? Like you are capable of making a joke about anything!"
Emily’s forehead twitched slightly. She had clearly heard what Sol said just now. But she didn’t react. Her whole focus was on Bella now.
"But why can’t we come too?" Bella asked.
"The dungeon is risky. More people means more vulnerability. It’s better if you guys wait here. Don’t worry about the crystal. It will be yours. But if you care about your teammates, then listen to my words and don’t enter the dungeon." She knew Leon could swallow monster cores. She didn’t want anyone else to find it out without Leon’s permission.
Bella opened her mouth to speak but didn’t. She looked conflicted. She knew her comrades would be in danger if they entered the dungeon. She knew Emily would want the best for her. But if she didn’t enter the dungeon, she wouldn’t be able to stay in peace.
"Don’t think too much. Just listen to me. I promise you won’t regret it."
Bella thought for a while before finally nodding. "Alright."
Emily smiled. "Good girl. Don’t worry. Grandpa will be fine soon." With that, she looked at Leon, Sol, and Snow. "Let’s go." She headed straight toward the dungeon gate. As she got closer, the swirling surface shimmered with energy. She stopped only for a breath, then walked into the gate. Sol was next. Snow entered on the third. And finally it was Leon’s turn.
But just before he could enter, Bella stopped. "Wait! You are also going?"
