I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 321: Disaster Class
The serpent slithered forward and thrust its head at Leon. Leon bent over before jumping high into the sky. The serpent missed Leon, and its head struck the ground instead.
Booooooom!
A loud bang echoed as the ground exploded. Dust and debris erupted in every direction. The serpent tried to lift its head, but a fiery sphere slammed into it.
Booooooooooooom!
Another loud explosion. The serpent’s body went deeper, a great crater forming.
Leon was hovering in the air, still disoriented. ’Is it because it’s not my real body? Is that why I couldn’t cast Phoenix Breath?’
Just as Leon was thinking about the tenth spell...
Whoooooosh!
The second monster’s claws cut through the air. Leon twisted his body, the edge of the claws grazing the fabric of his clothes slightly. The monster slashed its claws again. But Leon vanished from his position. The monster snapped its head left and right, anxiously looking for Leon, but he was nowhere to be found. But suddenly, it felt a strong presence at its back. It tried to turn but...
Booooooooooooom!
It only saw a bright crimson glow. And then, something slammed against its back. It tried to stop but was hurled away, a force continuously pressing it forward. Before the monster could even land, that something exploded.
Boooooooooooooooom!
Another loud explosion. Water erupted from beneath the surface.
Leon hovered where he was.
Below him, the serpent tried to lift its head, wanting to look at Leon. But Leon brought out the sword. Not the black claymore. This time...
It was the Frost Monarch’s blade. Leon looked down and steered his hand back, bending his elbow. His arm coiled like a spring. "Third form." He whispered. The sword tip stared at the serpent. The serpent moved. It wanted to leave this place. It wanted to go anywhere but here. But how could Leon let that happen?
"Destructive thrust." The sword moved forward like a wild force. The tip cut through the air and struck nothing. But a violent gust of wind shot out. There was even a layer of energy surrounding it.
Before the serpent could leave, the gust of wind struck it. Everything froze for a nanosecond before the whole serpent was blasted. The force didn’t just strike it. It didn’t just pierce its body. Rather, the whole serpent, that whole colossal being, was blasted into nothing with just one blow.
Jason stood frozen. The more time had passed, the more Leon had surprised him. But this. The scene of obliterating a peak S-Class monster with just one blow was something he wouldn’t even dare to see in his dream. The sword hadn’t even touched the monster. Yet here it was. Totally destroyed.
The other monster pushed its body up.
Leon turned toward it. Instead of rushing toward the monster, Leon raised his left hand.
"Incinerate."
The moment he said that, a hellish tornado erupted from the ground. It swallowed the monster and spun at great speed, surrounding him. The monster tried to fight back. But the force was too much. And the fire was slowly charring its body. Soon the monster’s body melted and mixed with the tornado.
"Are you two sure he’s a human?" Jason asked in the chamber room. He could barely believe what he just saw. He felt like he was inside a dream. Nothing made sense.
"Hahahaha." Sol laughed. "Big bro is just like that. You will never know what he can do the next moment. Just when you think you have seen all of what he can do, he will bring out something new." He said enthusiastically, like a big fan of Leon.
Jason shook his head. "You don’t get it. Being strong is one thing. But there are too many uncertain things about him." Jason started with a thoughtful expression. "He is a cultivator but not from Summitas Valley. He is a cultivator but can use magic too. And those sword moves? Those spells? How could he master those in such a short time? Even if he had started training while he was in his mother’s womb, it shouldn’t be possible."
"That just means big bro is too genius," Sol said.
"Genius? That level of talent is monstrous. What I want to know is whether that level of talent is even possible."
"You can trust him, Father." This time, Emily spoke before Sol could say anything. "Whatever you are afraid of, he isn’t something like that." Her voice was low but firm. She wasn’t trying to convince her father. She was stating the facts.
Jason looked at his daughter. ’She sounds confident. Is it just confidence or blind emotion? But considering her ability to read minds within a short range, it would be almost impossible to deceive her.’ Jason thought. Before he could say anything, the beam of light started fading on the circular platform.
Colour returned to Leon’s eyes.
"Big bro!" Sol hurried toward him. "Congratulations! You are now officially a hunter. And not just any hunter. A Disaster Class hunter. One of the only five Disaster Class hunters in the whole world."
"Congratulations, darling." Snow totally disregarded the fact that others were present. She approached Leon and kissed him on his cheek before anyone could even react.
Emily glared at her, but when she noticed Leon’s gaze, her temper dropped. "What happened?" She asked.
Leon should have looked thrilled. At least happy. He finally became a hunter. And getting the license was just minutes away. But his face told another story. He looked like he was bothered about something.
"Hmmm?" Leon looked at Emily. "Oh, nothing."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," Leon said. He hadn’t even registered that Snow had kissed him. He didn’t notice Steven staring at him with his mouth hanging open. He didn’t notice Jason’s doubtful gaze.
His mind was still focused on one thing.
Seeing him dazed like that, Snow slipped one arm around Leon’s. "Let’s go get our license."
Leon nodded.
Snow walked out of the chamber, pulling Leon with her.
"Sis! You should have done that too. What will happen to you if you act like this?" Sol sighed.
Emily didn’t say anything and walked out of the chamber too.
Meanwhile, Dylan looked totally furious in another room. He had witnessed everything.
Especially the jealousy on Emily’s face when Snow had kissed Leon.
