Chapter 209: Chapter 139: Is My Home About to Be Stolen?

Her beautiful golden hair was tied in a high ponytail, and she wore a bluish-purple, off-the-shoulder slip dress that revealed an impressive cleavage.

It was a clever outfit, simultaneously flaunting her figure and making her look younger. You’d never guess she had a five-year-old child.

Gu Nan found himself swallowing as he watched Pan Yourong slowly approach.

The woman practically radiated temptation. He suddenly wondered how her ex-husband ever had the heart to divorce her.

’It might be human nature to have a wandering eye, but you don’t just throw away a feast of abalone and lobster!’

"Long time no see, Boss Gu!"

Pan Yourong stood before the fishing boat, carefully sizing up the man in front of her.

’His skin seems a little tanner, but his T-shirt can’t quite hide his muscles. He’s definitely gotten buffer recently.’

She subconsciously licked her lower lip, unaware that the gesture only made her more alluring.

"Sorry to trouble you with the delivery." Gu Nan quickly averted his gaze and stepped forward to take the items from her hands.

He couldn’t believe her uniform at Feiyun Pavilion had actually been holding back her charm. Right now, Pan Yourong was the kind of woman who could easily make a man slip up.

"It’s no problem, I was in the area," Pan Yourong said with a smile, then asked playfully, "Can you take me out on the boat for a bit? I’ve never really been out on the ocean before!"

"Uh, do you get seasick?" Gu Nan asked, hesitating for a moment.

’She’s asking so directly, and it’s just for a short trip. How can I say no?’

"I don’t think so? I’ve been on riverboats before and never got motion sick," Pan Yourong replied, though she sounded a little uncertain.

"Well, we can see. Let me know if you start feeling unwell, and I’ll bring you back. The ocean is a bit different from the river—the waves are bigger."

"Okay..." As she lifted her leg, the long dress, which turned out to be slit, fell away from her sides, revealing long, fair, and shapely legs.

"HISS..."

Gu Nan sucked in a sharp breath. ’Is she trying to test a fisherman with this?’

After boarding, Pan Yourong looked around the fishing boat with interest. It wasn’t very big, though, so her tour was over quickly. She then went into the cabin, sat on the sofa, and watched him pilot the boat with great curiosity.

Gu Nan naturally noticed her staring but pretended he didn’t. At the same time, he began to wonder where he should take her.

He couldn’t tell yet if she’d get seasick, so he decided to cruise along the coastline for a while. Once he was sure she was okay, he’d think about where to go.

Perhaps finding the cabin a bit too quiet, Pan Yourong asked softly, "Since you run a seafood shop, why are you always so eager to go out fishing?"

She had learned a bit about Gu Nan’s situation from Yi Chen at the supermarket earlier.

In reality, Yi Chen had only asked her to help with the delivery; she never imagined Pan Yourong would end up going out to sea with him.

As far as Yi Chen knew, Pan Yourong was a wealthy woman with a son. It seemed impossible that anything could happen between her and Gu Nan, so Yi Chen hadn’t been on guard at all.

"Fishing is a hobby of mine. I have people watching the shop, so I can do things I enjoy. Besides, I have a lot of friends who give me tips on where the fish are biting, so I can make a decent amount from fishing, too."

He couldn’t mention the game, so he could only pass off his sea excursions as a hobby. Gu Nan knew that many people didn’t understand his actions.

’The seafood shop is already so profitable, why would he go out to sea and suffer for no reason?’

But they didn’t know that he made his money *from* fishing, not from the shop.

"In that case, could you teach me how to fish? I hear it’s a pretty good sport," Pan Yourong asked, her face alight with an interest that seemed genuine.

Gu Nan glanced at her high heels and said with a dissuasive smile, "That outfit isn’t exactly suitable for fishing. I don’t have a spare sun hat or rash guard, let alone any sunscreen."

"If you go out in the sun for half an hour on a day like this, I guarantee you’ll get a sunburn and go at least two shades darker."

"Even I, and I love fishing, generally wouldn’t go out in this weather."

At the mention of sunburn and getting two shades darker, Pan Yourong immediately backed down.

She really hadn’t come prepared. While she had put on some sunscreen before leaving home, it clearly wasn’t enough to block out the sun.

"So what do you usually do in the afternoons?"

"Sleep." The moment the word was out, Gu Nan sensed something was off. There were only two of them in the cabin, and one was a beautiful woman. The word felt a little inappropriate, so he quickly added, "Fishing is pretty tiring, so I take a nap to recharge."

"Tiring, huh!" Pan Yourong said thoughtfully, then flashed him a radiant smile. "How about I give you a massage?"

If piloting the boat required much use of the rudder, he was sure he would have just sent it into a 180-degree drift across the ocean’s surface.

"No, no, that’s okay. You’re not on the clock today. You came to hang out as a friend, so a massage wouldn’t be appropriate."

"But you haven’t been to the massage parlor in a long time!" Pan Yourong said in a low, teasing voice. "Besides, I’d be massaging you as a friend. You’re tired, so what’s wrong with a friend helping you relax a little?"

"Really, it’s fine. I’m not actually tired," Gu Nan said with an awkward laugh.

’Why hasn’t he gone? Because he’s afraid she’ll start teasing him again, that’s why.’

’Once or twice is one thing, but if this keeps up, how is he supposed to take it? He’s a man, too—and one who’s been celibate for over two years.’

Seeing this, Pan Yourong pursed her lips in a faint smile and didn’t bring up the massage again.

’So now I know why Gu Nan hasn’t been back to the parlor,’ she thought. ’He’s still scared from last time!’
