I Build a Top-tier Fishing Destination
Chapter 107 - 108: Group Members Surge Again
Chapter 107: Chapter 108: Group Members Surge Again
Chen Yuan hadn’t had a chance to check the group messages yet.
The anglers were all shocked and full of praise after finishing their tour. Chen Yuan exchanged a few words with them, then hurried inside with Chen Jun and the others as Wang Tao began the introduction.
"The two rooms on the left can be used for offices and meetings. If clients want to discuss business, there’s a reception room for that."
Wang Tao explained.
One of the two rooms was for an office, the other for meetings. The office was, of course, reserved for Chen Yuan.
"There’s also a waiting and rest area in the main hall. If the restrooms get crowded, people can line up here in an orderly fashion. The vending machine has also been moved to the hall."
They then walked into the main hall.
Chen Jun and the others were equally stunned by the rockery and pool. Shrouded in mist, it truly looked like a divine dragon coiling, ready to soar into the heavens. The feeling of awe was indescribable.
"This lounge and cafe over here is for both employees and customers. It can be used for eating or just resting."
Next, they went to the lounge and cafe on the right.
"Boss, we can eat and rest here from now on?"
Chen Dequan and Liu Fang were ecstatic.
It had climate control, which was far more comfortable than being outside. They wouldn’t have to squat on the ground holding their lunchboxes anymore. Most importantly, there were sofas. They could take turns resting during the night shifts.
"Of course you can."
Chen Yuan said with a smile.
A happy occasion really lifts the spirits. So far, he was very satisfied.
Of course, the most important part was the construction inside the mountain itself. That was the key.
"I only designed two shower rooms. After all, there’s only one Fish King in the small pond. Even if someone falls in, it would probably just be one or two people, so this is more than enough."
Coming around the screen, Chen Yuan pushed open the door to a shower room. The wall tiles were smooth, reflecting the soft light and making the space look very spacious.
Inside, there weren’t just showerheads but also mirrors, hair dryers, and other amenities—it had everything.
"The entire building’s water, heating, and air conditioning systems are climate-controlled. You can use cool or warm water as you please, so there’s no need to worry about water temperature, nor will it be too cold inside during the winter."
Wang Tao explained with a smile. Chen Jun and the others were both satisfied and amazed.
This was especially true for Chen Jun.
When he first saw the mountain being carved out, he had been terribly shocked and even held a prejudice against Wang Tao. Now, seeing these results, he was left with nothing but awe and satisfaction.
"I designed six restrooms in the back. The first four are for men, and the last two are for women."
Wang Tao led Chen Yuan and the others further in, pointing to the restrooms on both sides as he explained, "Although most of the customers at the fishing ground are men, it’s still necessary to separate the restrooms. And we can adapt as needed. We might even add more women’s restrooms in the future."
Chen Yuan nodded.
He looked at the green sign above a restroom and asked,
"If the door is locked from the inside, will this sign turn red to show that it’s occupied?"
"Of course. That’s the most basic function."
Chen Yuan nodded again, then pushed open a restroom door to have a look.
The lighting was still soft and warm, yet exceptionally bright. Even inside the mountain, it didn’t feel dim at all. Instead, it had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
What satisfied Chen Yuan even more was that all six restrooms had squat toilets, which saved space and were convenient.
"I didn’t provide trash cans. The restroom pipes have been widened, so they won’t get clogged by cigarette butts or waste paper. This will save on labor."
Wang Tao continued his patient explanation.
Chen Yuan was very pleased. He checked every single restroom, not even skipping the women’s. It wasn’t due to some strange habit; he was conducting an inspection, so naturally, he had to see everything.
Besides, this was just his preliminary check. The real quality inspection would have to be done by Uncle Bin.
"Not bad. I’m satisfied, at least."
After inspecting everything, a satisfied Chen Yuan walked out. He pulled out his cigarettes, handing one to Wang Tao, then to his father, his uncle, and Chen Dequan.
"Serving our clients and satisfying the boss is our company’s mission."
Wang Tao said with a smile, sounding a bit like he was sucking up.
"Not bad. I like your attitude."
Chen Jun, a cigarette dangling from his lips, clapped Wang Tao on the shoulder. All his previous disdain and prejudice were gone. His grumbling from that morning had been replaced entirely by satisfaction.
Wang Tao blinked. Praise from Chen Jun was one thing, but praise from Chen Yuan was what truly mattered. It was directly tied to his bonus and future construction projects.
"Let me be clear, this is just my initial inspection. Someone else will conduct the official quality check. Whether there are any issues, and whether we can officially accept the work, all depends on those results."
Chen Yuan said, looking at Wang Tao.
Although he was very satisfied and trusted Wang Tao, it wasn’t his final say. The project wouldn’t be considered successfully completed until Uncle Bin gave his approval.
"Understood."
Wang Tao nodded.
"Alright, you’ve pulled an all-nighter. Go back and get some rest. Wait for my call."
Chen Yuan waved them off.
Even though Wang Tao and his team were androids, they still needed rest. A machine running 24/7 would have its lifespan affected; otherwise, there would be no concept of maintenance.
"OK."
Wang Tao made a gesture, and his workers took their leave.
"This construction team you found is really something. Were they expensive?"
Chen Jun asked, sidling up to Chen Yuan as he watched Wang Tao’s departing figure.
The work was impeccable, and he’d heard some anglers say that the materials used were top-of-the-line. He just didn’t know the cost. If it was too expensive, it would still sting a little.
"It was actually a bit cheaper than the market rate. They handled all the procurement through their own company, so I guess you could call it a friend’s discount."
Chen Yuan casually made up an excuse.
’It was pretty expensive, but the system covered the cost.’
"That’s good, then."
Chen Jun was finally relieved. He couldn’t help but admire the building again, his face breaking into a wide smile. Then, remembering something, he looked at Chen Yuan and reminded him:
"Since this part is finished, you should contact the village committee to get the inspection done as soon as possible. Get all the necessary permits and paperwork in order."
"Of course."
Chen Yuan immediately took out his phone and dialed Chen Wenbin’s number. Uncle Bin should have been up and at work by now.
"Alright, we’ll get back to our other work then."
Seeing that Chen Yuan was busy with important matters, Chen Jun and the others didn’t linger. With a quick word, they went back to their duties, taking the old patio umbrella from the small slope with them as they left.
Chen Yuan chatted with Chen Wenbin for a few minutes. After hanging up, he strode gleefully toward his new office.
’From now on, I have my own office too! Who the hell would still squat under a patio umbrella?’
After thoroughly admiring his office, Chen Yuan sat down in his chair, propped his feet up on the desk, and opened his phone to see the feedback in the group chat.
"Whoa, this is about to blow up."
Chen Yuan eagerly opened WeChat and was immediately greeted by a delightful sight. He hadn’t had a friend request in days, but now when he checked, there were dozens of them.
Without rushing to deal with them, Chen Yuan excitedly opened the fishing ground’s group chat. In just the few hours since morning, the message count had already maxed out.
What surprised Chen Yuan even more was the member count. It had grown from nearly eight hundred yesterday to over nine hundred now, and it was still climbing, heading straight for the one-thousand-member mark.
"It really is blowing up!"
Chen Yuan excitedly lit a cigarette and started scrolling through the group messages.
"Holy shit, you call this a restroom?"
"This is a goddamn clubhouse or a hotel, right? Are you running a clubhouse as a fishing ground?"
"I just glanced at the shabby shed over at Fisherman’s place. Suddenly I don’t feel human. Even a stray dog on the street has it better."
Someone in the group who was at Fisherman’s posted a photo of their sheet-metal-shed restroom. It formed a stark contrast with the stunning pictures from Chen Yuan Fishing Ground.
"The place I’m at isn’t any better."
Photos of restrooms from other fishing grounds followed. Putting aside how damn dirty, messy, and shabby they were, they all had that typical public toilet vibe. Compared to Chen Yuan Fishing Ground, they looked like garbage dumps.
"Only Chen Yuan Fishing Ground treats us anglers like human beings."
"No, this is a true kindred spirit, a fellow angler who’s doing everything he can to provide us with convenience and the most comfortable fishing environment possible."
"Say no more. I can’t fish at other places anymore. From now on, I’m only going to Chen Yuan Fishing Ground."
The praise and compliments just kept coming.
The new members in the group were also in shock.
"Holy crap! Yesterday I was saying, ’It’s just a restroom, what’s there to brag about?’ Today I realize how shallow I was. With a fishing paradise like this, who the hell would still go to a dump like Fisherman’s?"
"To the guys from yesterday, my bad. I even said you were shills for Chen Yuan Fishing Ground. Turns out I was the clown all along. Thanks for telling me about this place!"
"Bro, Chen Yuan Fishing Ground really blew my mind. We lost the bet. We’ll cover your fees for your next ten sessions at Chen Yuan Fishing Ground."
These were all the anglers who had been skeptical and unconvinced yesterday. Today, whether they saw it in person or got spammed with messages, they were all thoroughly convinced and were flooding into the Chen Yuan Fishing Ground group chat.
"An outdoor fishing ground that’s packed to capacity every session in the middle of summer... that says it all. Brothers, get ready to fight for a spot."
"I’m reserving a spot today! I need to experience the service and facilities of this fishing paradise for myself!"
"Hehe, that Fish King is so tempting. I never thought a boss in the Chong City fishing scene could get his hands on a fish that big. I have to go and try to set a new record!"
Reading these messages, Chen Yuan’s lips curled into a grin that stretched from ear to ear.
He scrolled down further, only to find an even bigger surprise waiting for him.
