Eve acted decisively, retreating quickly while shouting, "Run!"

Her subordinates reacted immediately and turned to flee.

But at the entrance, countless spectral figures burst up from beneath the floorboards.

Unlike the homies of the past, these apparitions were different — pitch-black, varied in shape, and looking far more like living people than simple constructs.

"Souls...!" Eve’s eyes went wide in horror. Before she could finish her cry, she was surrounded and hemmed in by the shadowy figures.

In mere seconds, all the Lycan Pirates were captured. Facing an Emperor enraged, they couldn’t last even a single exchange.

"Hehehehe... How dare Lane play such tricks on me? I will turn your souls into delicious desserts and serve them right to his face!"

Charlotte Linlin’s expression turned vicious. She rose from her throne and strode toward them.

"I didn’t expect that after dying once, your Devil Fruit powers would have grown even stronger."

Vladimir spoke suddenly, watching Big Mom with amusement.

Charlotte Linlin halted abruptly and snapped her gaze toward him.

"Who are you really?! You are no member of the Beast King Pirates. There is no record of anyone like you!"

"Hahaha..."

"What are you laughing at?!"

"’When the tiger is away, the monkey rules the mountain’."

Vladimir stood on all fours, lightning crackling violently all around him. The surging electric energy was capable of striking over a hundred times in an instant.

He unleashed those hundred streaks of lightning directly toward Eve and her crew.

In the blink of an eye, more than a dozen of Charlotte Linlin’s spectral guardians were struck and reduced to ash.

"You people gave me passage here, so I suppose I’ll save you just this once."

Vladimir spoke calmly. "Charlotte Linlin... it seems you aren’t just blind in one eye, but your mind has rotted too. I came here for only one thing: the tribute of fifty fruits you promised. Have you prepared it yet?"

"Tribute?"

Most people in the hall looked utterly confused.

But the few who remembered what happened years ago paled instantly at those words.

"Impossible...!"

Charlotte Linlin froze, her eyes bulging as she stared at him. "You are...!"

"I am the Divine Beast Raikou, of the Phantom Pirates — the Master of Lightning!"

The moment the words left his mouth, heavy, black thunderclouds gathered instantly over Whole Cake Island.

They appeared with terrifying speed and density, filled with writhing electricity and flashing lightning serpents.

"Descend, Thunder!"

At Vladimir’s whisper came a deafening roar. A bolt of lightning as thick as a giant tree trunk plummeted from thousands of meters above.

"You are a Master of Phantom?!!" Charlotte Linlin cried out in disbelief.

But before she could finish, the lightning had already crossed the sky and slammed directly onto the palace.

BOOM!!

Amidst a massive explosion, raging lightning energy swept outward. In a split second, the entire great hall was erased — leveled completely to the ground.

From a distance, the magnificent structure at the center of the island was swallowed by blinding golden light, as if a second golden sun had crashed down right in the heart of the island.

Within the storm of thunder and light, Vladimir watched everything with calm, cold eyes.

"This is a lesson. I gave you a deadline and you failed to deliver — punishment is due. If you still do not have them ready now... perhaps your so-called New Generation Big Mom Pirates should simply cease to exist."

BOOM!

Amidst the thunderous blast, the golden lightning, like a miniature sun, smashed into the center of Whole Cake Island, shattering the headquarters of the New Generation Big Mom Pirates in one strike.

It took a long time for the raging electrical energy to fade. Vladimir stood amidst the ruins, gazing forward.

"Cough... cough...!"

Coughing sounds arose. Eve pushed aside a heavy stone slab and slowly pulled herself up from the debris.

She looked at the scene before her, and her pupils shrank in shock.

The magnificent hall was gone; in its place was nothing but ruin and desolation.

"Y-you... you are a Master of Phantom?!" Eve stared at Vladimir, unable to comprehend.

This thunder-tiger that had simply hitched a ride... was actually a Supreme Master?!

Vladimir ignored her, his gaze fixed ahead.

There, Charlotte Linlin stood — clothes scorched black, hair standing on end, eyes burning with rage.

Yet beneath that fury lay undeniable terror.

"Phantom...!" She glared at him, grinding her teeth. "They vanished for nine years... how can they return now?!"

Over these nine years, many had pretended to be members of Phantom, though few believed them.

And whenever anyone made too much noise, Phantom’s number one lackey — Doflamingo — would appear to deal with them.

Charlotte Linlin admitted this thunder-beast was powerful, but she still refused to fully accept it.

Every Master of Phantom was said to be equal to an Emperor. While this creature’s control of lightning was astonishing, it still seemed somewhat inferior compared to the likes of the Master of the Seas or the Master of the Skies.

"Hahaha..."

Vladimir chuckled. "Charlotte Linlin... it seems you truly are blind. You have chosen to deceive yourself rather than believe what your own eyes see. To sink so low as an Emperor... it is truly pathetic."

Her expression turned ugly. Emotionally, she refused to believe Raikou was a Master. But logically — the fact that he knew exactly about the fifty fruits she had promised years ago was proof enough.

She suppressed her rage and took a deep breath. "You vanished for nine years... and now you return. What do you want this time?"
