I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 694 381: The Secret of Origin Gene Plunder (Part 3)
And they were strong. The weakest among them were Star Gods, and there were nearly ten Moon Gods!
"This probably isn't their main nest, but an outpost near Thousand Illusion Star. They use it to watch passing ships and find targets to plunder," Su Ze analyzed.
Mr. Ya cursed, "Those bastards are pretty cautious, not heading straight back to their nest."
As soon as the Dou Race spaceship landed, more than ten powerful Dou Race warriors surrounded it in moments. Most of them were Moon Gods.
The hatch of the Dou Race spaceship opened, and a Star God-level Dou Race member stepped out.
"What happened?" someone asked him.
Su Ze hovered above them, eavesdropping on their conversation. However, they were all speaking in the Dou Race language, so he had to rely on the Pope for translation.
"We were attacked..." The Dou Race Star God said a few words before suddenly switching to Spiritual Transmission. Su Ze could no longer hear them, but it wasn't hard to guess what they were talking about.
After a brief exchange, several of the Dou Race Moon Gods looked up warily, scanning the surroundings.
It seemed they really did suspect they were being followed.
"You did well. Stay here for now and operate with us," one of the Dou Race Moon Gods, who wore an exaggeratedly large golden belt, ordered.
Seeing that they had no intention of returning to their nest, Tano asked, "Lord Star Lord, what should we do now?"
"We wait."
Su Ze said calmly. The enemy would have to return to their nest sooner or later. They had nothing but time, and the Magic Cube had everything they needed. Everyone could go about their own business while they waited.
So, for the next few days, they kept themselves busy. Those who needed to train, trained; those who needed to strengthen their skills, did so. Su Ze also spent each day absorbing the Evolutionary Material in his body.
Two weeks later, a few Dou Race Star Gods flew toward the planet from a distance. They were the very same ones Su Ze had let go.
At the time, he had been busy chasing the Dou Race spaceship and hadn't pursued them. As a result, they had flown all the way here on their own power.
The group looked quite wretched. As soon as they arrived, they started complaining, condemning the pilot for abandoning them.
The leading Dou Race member with the golden belt offered a few placating words and then sent them away.
Apparently, he had no intention of punishing the Star God who had fled with the ship. Under those circumstances, escaping might have been the correct choice, one that aligned with the interests of their race. It both saved the ship and allowed information about the enemy to be relayed back.
For the past two weeks, this group of Dou Race had kept a relatively low profile, only carrying out two raids, both on weaker targets.
Perhaps losing three Moon Gods at Su Ze's hands had made them more cautious.
Seeing that these Star Gods had also made it back safely and that nothing unusual had happened over the past two weeks, the Dou Race member with the golden belt finally gave the order: half of them would transport supplies back to their main nest.
They needed to periodically send the resources they plundered back to their nest, while the rest would remain to continue their highway robbery.
Upon seeing this, a smile appeared on Su Ze's face as he silently followed the Dou Race spaceship that was returning to the nest.
On that planet, there were two Dou Race spaceships in total, both of them Moon God-level.
For this supply run, only one of the ships was dispatched. The defensive force aboard was not weak, consisting of five or six Moon Gods and over twenty Star Gods.
The Dou Race members who stayed behind had roughly the same level of strength.
Su Ze had no intention of attacking them on the way. He did consider attacking the ones who stayed behind, but ultimately decided against it.
'Better to find the location of their nest first,' he thought.
The Magic Cube followed the Dou Race spaceship. The farther they flew, the more uneasy Su Ze and the others became.
They exchanged glances, their expressions turning grave and serious.
"This is in the same direction as Zexing!"
Su Ze pondered for a moment before saying in a low voice, "Don't jump to conclusions. Let's see the exact location of their nest first."
Although he said that, Su Ze was already preparing for the worst-case scenario in his mind.
How can one sleep with a tiger beside one's bed?!
If this band of Dou Race had really chosen a location so close to Zexing for their nest, it would only give them more reason to eliminate them.
However, that would also make matters more complicated.
For the safety of Zexing, they would no longer be able to borrow the strength of the Illusion Race and would have to handle it themselves.
...
Several days later, the Dou Race spaceship arrived at its destination.
Looking at the habitable planet before them, Su Ze, Lin Hua, and the others all had ugly expressions on their faces.
This planet wasn't extremely close to Zexing, but it wasn't far either. At the speed of a Moon God-level Spaceship, it was about a half-day's journey.
Both races needed to venture out frequently, and they often headed toward Thousand Illusion Star. Their routes were the same; it was only a matter of time before they ran into each other.
Once the Dou Race discovered Zexing's location, it would be a huge problem.
Another thing to consider was that this band of Dou Race was a ticking time bomb, liable to attract trouble at any moment.
Not to mention, the Dou Race's home world had been destroyed by the Dominator Race, the Holy Race. It was possible the Holy Race was still hunting them. And since this band of Dou Race acted so conspicuously, if they were to attract the Holy Race's pursuit...
Furthermore, if they continued their raids like this, they would sooner or later infuriate the Illusion Race.
Whether the Holy Race or the Illusion Race made a move against the Dou Race, Zexing, being so close to the Dou Race nest, could suffer as an innocent bystander.
After all, when they came to eliminate this group of Dou Race, they certainly wouldn't neglect to investigate the surrounding area.
"It seems we'll have to get rid of them ourselves," Su Ze said, his expression cold and severe.
"First, let's go down to the planet and scout out their true strength."
The Magic Cube flew toward the planet and circled it once to investigate the situation on the ground.
"It looks like they haven't been on this planet for long. The entire planet is still under construction, with most areas undeveloped. Their population is around fifty thousand.
"They have quite a few Moon Gods. Not counting the ones off-world, there are more than ten on the planet right now. Fortunately, we haven't detected any Sun Gods yet."
