I Aggressively Stack Steel of the Heart in the Knight Order
Chapter 247 - 212: A Fearsome Reputation, a Battle Erupts at a Touch
CRASH—!
When immense force smashed through the heavy, ornate doors of the Governor’s Mansion, the family manager Dane’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably.
Sunlight from the cloudless sky streamed through the breach, angling into the wide corridor and making it painfully bright.
Splinters and dust from the shattered doors danced in the beams of light.
Behind them, a towering, magnificent figure appeared in his line of sight, exuding an unstoppable presence. In his right hand, he held a War Axe; in his left, a firearm.
The deep black Power Armor resembled a humanoid war machine, its only color the scarlet stripes on its pauldrons and helmet, as if bathed in the blood of its enemies.
The Divine Emperor’s Fury, forged in gold and flanked by massive Angel’s Wings, adorned the Power Armor’s broad Chest Armor.
And when the cold gaze from the fully enclosed helmet fell upon him, an overwhelmingly tyrannical Knightly Suppression, like a mountain, pressed down heavily on his chest, making his legs go weak and stealing his breath.
Dane’s mind went blank.
He never would have dreamed that the woman, Catherine, would be so deranged in her lust for power as to summon an Imperial Knight from the Administrative Region to kill him!
He wasn’t some native of Hurst World.
Before the Great Rebellion, he had been the Capet Dynasty’s commercial director in the Ash Soil Star Zone, and he had dealt with many important figures and Battle Groups.
He had seen an Imperial Knight Battle Group’s Elite Formation once or twice, but as for Power Armor this luxuriously equipped with Imperial Technology... forget an Elite Formation, not even a Battle Group Commander was necessarily qualified to wear it.
In other words, this Imperial Knight who had appeared in the Governor’s Mansion was no small fry.
Facing Reinhardt’s stare, Dane’s right index finger trembled uncontrollably, but he forced himself to remain calm. With a frown, he shouted, "This is the Capet Dynasty! Hurst World! Who are you people?! Who gave you permission—"
However, before he could finish, a stranger with white hair and a hunched back, a full two heads shorter than the Imperial Knight, calmly walked past the Knight’s towering form.
He strolled into the Governor’s Mansion as if taking a leisurely walk in a garden.
When Dane saw the insignia of an Imperial Judge on the man’s clothes, his body trembled violently. A chill instantly ran through him.
If the Emperor’s Angels were the terrifying presence enemies least wanted to encounter on the battlefield, then within the Empire, the oppressive feeling a Judge exuded surpassed even that of the Emperor’s Angels!
The former had virtually no authority to interfere in matters within the Empire without authorization from the Military Affairs Department, but the latter were genuine strongmen who wielded immense power.
Robie’s gaze swept over the two uninvited guests sitting on the sofa.
He clapped his hands erratically, scanned the room’s interior, and said in a mockingly pleasant tone, "You must be Dane, the manager of the Capet Family, yes?
I’ve been told you’ve been dealing with some Demons lately.
Would you care to explain?"
At the same time, the man and woman on the sofa slowly rose to their feet. Their gazes passed over Robbie Hiling and landed on the Imperial Knight.
The Witch’s expression was completely different from the relaxed one she wore while chatting just moments ago. Her brow was slightly furrowed, and purple lightning from a Spiritual Storm crackled and danced at her fingertips.
The Earth Knight standing beside her, holding his sword in one hand, took two steps to the side and faced the Imperial Knight imposingly. In a deep voice, he said, "The Emperor’s Vengeful Angel, Reinhardt."
When manager Dane heard that name, he couldn’t believe his ears!
Even the terror inspired by the Imperial Judge couldn’t conceal the immense shock in his heart!
Reinhardt.
The Vengeful Angel of Verne.
He had heard this name more than once.
Lady Catherine might be able to chat and laugh with Reinhardt on a starship, but for Dane, the Emperor’s Vengeful Angel was a transcendent being whose Level and power were so far beyond his own that he wasn’t even qualified to be in his presence!
One of the most mysterious and powerful Knights in the Imperial Administrative Region!
The Emperor’s Fury incarnate, who brought death and slaughter to traitors—a terrifying figure who existed only in legend!
Even among the mid-to-high-ranking members of the various powers in the Ash Soil Star Zone, the only ones truly qualified to see the ’Emperor’s Vengeful Angel’ were the genuinely strong.
The rest were all dead men walking.
The appearance of a Judge and an Imperial Knight in Hurst, right in front of him, might have just been a matter of internal family strife. However, he never would have dreamed that the mysterious Vengeful Angel would also appear in Hurst.
In other words, a judgment requires evidence.
But quelling a rebellion only requires a location and a list of names.
The Red-haired Witch’s expression darkened. Her gaze, as if facing a mortal enemy, fixed on Reinhardt. "You’re the one who killed Nico."
Unfortunately, she was met only with silence.
Warlord Nico was one of the most powerful Wizard Lords under Grand Lord Kles, so strong that he could have taken on both of them combined.
She couldn’t imagine how someone as powerful as Warlord Nico could have died in Kemola at the hands of this seemingly unremarkable Imperial Knight...
That Catherine was able to call on such an ally was something they had never anticipated.
Because powerhouses of their Level were not people that Grand Governor Sedon or Grand Lord Kles could simply ignore and give orders to with a single word.
If being a ruler with real authority were that easy, there wouldn’t be so many rebellions and independence movements among the major powers.
War is easy.
But unity is unimaginably difficult.
As the Red-haired Witch’s voice fell, a battle was imminent.
A piece of rubble fell from the breach in the corridor, clattering sharply as it hit the floor.
Reinhardt moved.
The mere act of tightening his grip on the axe handle instantly put the two powerhouses under Grand Lord Kles on high alert, as if they were facing a mortal enemy!
The Witch’s pupils shrank to pinpoints as the purple lightning of a Spiritual Storm instantly filled her eyes. She raised her hand, pointed at Reinhardt, and unleashed a terrifying shriek capable of shattering a Mortal’s soul!
The Spiritual Storm tore a horrifying fissure in the Real Cosmos. It shot past manager Dane’s shoulder, grazed his ear, and roared toward Reinhardt!
The Earth Knight, with his Four-star Military Rank, erupted with a terrifying Destructive Suppression!
The reinforced concrete floor of the Governor’s Mansion spiderwebbed with cracks beneath his feet.
An eerie Knight Power, like an aurora, erupted upwards like a rising, twisting inferno!
Dane, the family manager, was only slightly stronger than a Mortal—his power on par with a new Knight recruit. Caught in the aftershock of the battle between powerful Transcendents, his mind felt as if it were being torn apart from all directions. The indescribable pain nearly stopped his heart.
However, just as the Red-haired Witch’s Spiritual Storm was about to slam into Reinhardt, a large, skeletal hand suddenly appeared, blocking the storm’s path.
A Ring on the index finger of that hand greedily devoured the Spiritual Storm’s Energy.
Then, a morbid laugh reached the pair’s ears.
"The aura of the Ten Thousand Changes Demon Monarch... how nostalgic. Heh heh."
