"When a person disappears, the version of them that traveled back also returns, allowing for a perfect synchronization to ensure that person always exists in the current time."

"Sorry," Kael said again.

"It’s alright, you actually did well," Viktor shook his head. "Keeping Albus’s whereabouts a secret was indeed the best choice for you."

"So Professor Dumbledore, is he really unable to return now?" Kael asked.

"When did he leave?"

"Over a month ago," Kael said. "Have you heard about what happened in Godric’s Hollow? That’s when he used the Time Turner."

"I haven’t heard," Viktor shook his head, "But if it’s a month, he may truly have been excluded by time."

"Will Dumbledore be in danger?"

"It’s merely a time loop; he might suffer a bit but won’t be in actual danger," Viktor said. "With Albus’s current power, there’s no one who could harm him in this century."

"That’s good," Kael felt slightly relieved, but only just.

Dumbledore might be fine, but they might not be.

He couldn’t keep pretending to be Dumbledore using Polyjuice Potion forever, and Voldemort wouldn’t be patient enough; eventually, when he thinks the time is right, he would take action against Hogwarts.

"What way?"
