Chapter 1138: Chapter 815: Kael’s Uncertainty (3)

He now only hopes that the Brit... the British gentleman won’t report him to Ms. Maxime, or else he won’t just be copying textbooks.

But Jafar’s worries are completely unnecessary, Kael forgot about that incident immediately.

At this moment, he is sitting next to Ms. Maxime, staring blankly at the dishes brought up by the server.

They are all classic French cuisine.

French lobster bisque, French puff pastry meat pie, Provençal stew, Boeuf Bourguignon, Marseille fish soup, and the most famous French foie gras...

Kael took a bite of foie gras, followed by a piece of beef.

He must admit, at this moment, some of his thoughts are wavering.

This is what you call gourmet food, everything from the ingredients to the cooking methods are impeccable.

In comparison, what kind of miserable days had he been living before?

Kael said nothing, just buried his head in eating.

Ms. Maxime, on the other hand, held a glass of wine, watching with a glint of slyness and disdain in her eyes.

With Britain’s barren recipes and cooking methods, even the house-elves can’t create anything good.

Perhaps France hasn’t produced many famous wizards, especially none like Dumbledore... but when it comes to culinary skills, ten Hogwarts combined couldn’t compete with Beauxbatons.

Not to mention, this is her carefully prepared feast, usually only served at the opening ceremony banquet.

Kael took half an hour to finish this meal, finally putting down his utensils, reclining in the chair without any grace, not wanting to move.

He regretted a bit. If he had known, he would’ve just chewed on some dry foods. Why did he have to come to the restaurant to eat? If given another choice... well, he would still come.

After trying it once, it’s impossible to refuse.

"Gabrielle," Ms. Maxime said with a smile, "please take Miss Prince to the guest room."

"No need, no need." Conna, equally satiated and unmoving, quickly waved her hand in refusal upon hearing this, "It’s too much trouble, we can go back ourselves."

"It’s just one guest room, nothing troublesome." Ms. Maxime said indifferently, "If you feel uncomfortable, I can also have Fleur accompany you, she has been looking forward to trying the school’s guest room for a while."

Is there this service too?

Kael instinctively lifted his head, but the next second he immediately lowered it, pretending nothing happened.

Fortunately, no one noticed him, which helped him dodge a bullet. The downside of being too full is that it makes the brain prone to short-circuiting.

Conna wanted to refuse, but Viktor said: "This is my suggestion, and I may need to discuss some issues with Kael afterwards. If it’s too late, it won’t be convenient for you to go back, why not stay one night here."

"Yes indeed." Gabrielle chimed in beside, "You can head back after breakfast tomorrow, it’s not too late."

Perhaps it was Viktor’s words or the mention of breakfast... Conna agreed.

She glanced at Kael, then followed Gabrielle out of the auditorium.

Kael didn’t move; he was waiting for Viktor.

In fact, he’d already asked almost all he wanted to know this afternoon, even if interrupted, the remaining questions wouldn’t take long.

As a master of alchemy, Viktor should know too; yet from his previous indications, it feels like it would take a long time.

However, he didn’t express it, nor did Kael ask.

"Then I won’t disturb you anymore." Ms. Maxime also left the table.

Viktor nodded at her, taking Kael back to the Alchemy Classroom.

But this time upon entering, Viktor waved his hand.

Several red talismans lit up on the classroom walls,

The door immediately closed, locked, and the curtains automatically drew shut, turning the entire classroom into a sealed environment.

Kael instinctively clenched his wand.

Though he trusted Professor Viktor, it’s always wise to stay vigilant.

"Don’t be nervous, what I’m going to talk about shouldn’t be heard by others," Viktor said calmly. "Now there’s no one else here, and even if someone pressed their ear against the door, they couldn’t hear our conversation."

"What do you want to say?" Kael asked: "I suppose it’s not related to Alchemy?"

"It kind of is." Viktor turned around, seriously asking: "Has Albus Dumbledore already used the Time Turner to go back a hundred years?"
