Chapter 1122: Chapter 810: Dinner Gathering Together_2
"Yes, Mr. Headmaster." Kael said with a mock seriousness, "That’s the rent I owe Headmaster Phineas, please return it to him."
"First come, first served, it’s mine now." said the headmaster known as Spear, "By the way, thanks for the reminder, kid. I was so engrossed that I almost forgot my business."
He winked at Kael.
"I wasn’t trying to remind you at all, has nothing to do with me." Kael shook his head repeatedly, firmly denying this, "The only person I intended to remind from the start to the end was Headmaster Phineas."
"I understand."
"Alright, you two..." Having run desperately after getting two hits, Phineas furiously glared at Kael.
"I didn’t get this one, you must paint me another."
"Can’t do it." Kael shook his head, picking up the empty palette, "There’s genuinely no paint left this time."
He must have used the paint left by Headmaster Dippet, which wasn’t much to begin with; painting two items was already a stretch, especially when the second was an extended version.
"Besides, Headmaster Black, even if I paint more, you’ll never snatch them from the others, so why bother."
"You..." Phineas muttered something incomprehensible to Kael.
But at that moment, Kael noticed that the wrinkles on his hand had vanished, and his robe had become much more fitting.
He had returned to his original appearance.
"Finally." Kael glanced once more at the headmasters playing games and waved at Fawkes.
The Phoenix immediately flew over, grabbed Kael’s finger, and with a flash of fire, they disappeared from the headmaster’s office.
All at once, the portraits quieted down.
"What do you think of him?" A witch inquired.
Dilys Derwent, also a Hogwarts headmaster and a famous healer at St Mungo’s, had left a portrait there.
"What do you mean by that? Albus never said he was grooming him to be a headmaster." Another wizard replied.
"But he never let anyone impersonate him either."
"That’s two different things."
"I trust my intuition."
"You’re just a painting; can you even have intuition?"
"Alright, what’s the point in arguing over this." Armando Dippet interrupted their quarrel, "These are issues Albus should consider. We’re merely mascots; do you think we can ponder and give advice to others?"
With that, he handed the baton in his hand to Dilys, "If you feel unhappy, join in; it’s quite entertaining. All we can do now is find some fun for ourselves."
...
Meanwhile, at No. 12 Grimmauld Place, the Phoenix took Kael directly to the dining room.
Their sudden appearance startled Mrs. Weasley.
"Oh, Merlin, you should have warned me ahead of time." Once she recovered, she gave Kael a tap, "How does it feel to be back at school again?"
"So-so." Kael shook his head, "I feel like I’ve been totally set up."
"Don’t be ridiculous; Dumbledore wouldn’t do such a thing."
"That’s not necessarily true." said Kael.
That’s precisely because it’s Dumbledore, Kael couldn’t shake the feeling.
"Let’s not talk about that." Kael glanced around, "Why is this place so empty? Where are the utensils?"
"Packed away." Mrs. Weasley said, "We’re moving house today; we’ll need those things after we go back."
"Moving? Moving where?"
"Of course to Ottery St Catchpole." said Mrs. Weasley.
"But isn’t this the headquarters of the Order of Phoenix?" Kael asked.
"It doesn’t conflict." Mrs. Weasley explained, "If there’s a major meeting, we’ll still come, but there’s no need to stay here all the time. Besides, it’s more comfortable in one’s own home no matter what."
"Then previously..."
"Mainly to protect Harry and the kids." Mrs. Weasley continued, "Last year was the same; when you all went to school, we would go back to our own homes and only return for important matters or during Hogwarts holidays."
She stuffed a large parcel into a box,
"In fact, after you went to school, the Order of Phoenix members rarely gathered frequently. I refuse to stay every day in such a big house alone, keeping company with that mad witch."
The mad witch she referred to was Mrs. Black, a portrait that would burst into foul curses at the slightest noise.
"I see." Kael nodded in understanding.
"Since you’re back, you might as well lend a hand." Mrs. Weasley handed a huge suitcase to Kael.
"I can’t handle so much on my own; I thought I’d have to make two trips."
"This is easy." Kael opened his own box, stuffed the suitcase inside, then added Mrs. Weasley’s items too.
"So convenient." Mrs. Weasley said with a smile, "Things are much easier now."
"Why didn’t you make a suitcase with the Undetectable Extension Charm?" Kael asked as they walked outside, puzzled.
Although the charm is complex, it shouldn’t be a challenge for the Weasley family.
Mr. Weasley can tinker with flying, invisible cars; surely he could make a suitcase with the Undetectable Extension Charm.
"Oh, we did; that’s the one I gave you previously." Mrs. Weasley said. She looked back to ensure nothing was left behind before locking the door.
"I mean, make a bigger one."
