His Wild Omega

Chapter 33: I Sparked With Her!

"Bleeding?" Mavros furrowed his brows.

Meris nodded her head. "I’m telling you, Mavros, I cannot be wrong about this. She’s definitely his mate. The bleeding, what if it’s happening because his body is rejecting me?!"

"This!..." He dragged his fingers through his hair, unable to collect his thoughts. "I’ve never heard or seen such a thing. Alphas don’t bleed from their marking spot. It only happens to omegas when an alpha tries to force mark her and she rejects him. So then...how can Dante experience such a thing? A supreme alpha?"

"And that’s why it makes sense!" She climbed off him and settled her feet to the floor. "His body and his wolf knows she’s something to them, their mate. And now his body is beginning to reject me. He bit me, and that’s why...that has to be the reason for his bleed!"

She stood up.

"But actually, I don’t think either of them has realized they are mates."

"And are you sure about that?" Mavros asked, watching her as she paced back and forth.

"Yes."

She stopped and looked at him.

"Do you think if Dante knows she’s his mate, I’d still be in that manor? Obviously, he doesn’t know!"

Mavros folded his arms. "That means we are not entirely off the rope."

"Exactly!"

Meris grinned maliciously.

"And we can keep things under control if we just..."

She dragged a vicious swipe of her hand over her throat.

"Kill her?" Mavros asked.

"Kill her." She nodded. "Just like we agreed in the first place."

She went back to the bed, climbed in and crawled over to him to settle onto his lap. "We just have to be very careful about it and frame it as an accident. The one who will have to answer to Tobias will be Dante. And at that time, he will surely need my attention and warmth, and what can I do other than..."

"...give him my warmth? HAHAHAHA!"

Within the doctors office, Dante sat, his wound being tended by the doctor.

The doctor stepped back after putting a band aid over his mating spot. He bowed at the waist and walked over to settle down in his office chair.

"So?" Dante questioned, "What have you managed to figure out concerning this?"

The doctor shook his head. "Right now, I really cannot confirm the reason for these reactions. Our studies have shown that wild omegas cannot react to alphas whether supreme or not so long as they have no connection with that alpha."

"They are only capable of reacting to their own mate."

"Then how do you explain this?" Dante pointed at his neck.

The doctor blinked in confusion. "Alpha, say...this Wild Omega you speak of, does she have any sort of connection to you? Maybe even intimate ones?’

"Are you mad?!" Dante immediately snapped. "How can that be possible? I have a mate!"

The doctor became even more puzzled.

"If you already have a mate, then...it is just not possible." He shook his head. "In all my years of being a doctor, I’ve never seen such a thing. It is one thing if you didn’t have a mate. But the fact that you do...it just..."

But then he suddenly questioned with widened eyes, "A-alpha, are you really sure you have no connection with this woman?"

"I don’t!"

"But—"

"Why do you insist on that?"

"Because," the doctor explains, "None of this can be possible otherwise. Your bleeding mating spot is in fact a rejection."

"A rejection?" Dante blinked. "What do you mean by that?"

"I’m not trying to imply anything," the doctor said. "But it’s plausible that your body and your wolf are collectively rejecting your current mating, hence the bleeding from your mating spot."

"What...?" Dante was confused.

The doctor nodded.

"Think about it. Omegas experience this when they reject an alphas marking. And rejecting an alphas marking means their body and their wolf do not consent or want the mating process."

Dante frowned even more deeply. "What exactly are you trying to get at?"

"I’m trying to say that, the only plausible explanation is that your body and wolf is rejecting your mate."

"What?"

"Yes. I cannot think of anything else. You marked her right?"

"I did." He nodded.

"Then it is possible that your body and wolf are completely rejecting her. That is why your mating spot is bleeding," the doctor concluded.

But Dante was still not convinced. "But I haven’t allowed her to mark me yet."

"You haven’t?!"

"No. Not yet." He said, "That is why I don’t understand how this can be possible."

"It is still possible."

"How so?"

"Even if she hasn’t marked you yet. You marked her, so you two are half bonded for now."

Taking a deep breath, the doctor said, "Alpha, I think you need to take some time with yourself. Are you not satisfied with your mate? That is completely understandable. Some alphas end up unsatisfied with their mates. Same as omegas. That is where rejection comes in and they end up breaking the bond with their mates."

"But I am not satisfied with her. I don’t..."

Dante blinked.

...Feel anything.

The last bit was only a thought.

"There is also another theory," the doctor said suddenly.

Dante looked at him. "Theory? Which is?"

"I’m not saying it’s true. But when an omega or an alpha accidentally marks with someone who isn’t their true mate, their body and wolf can begin to reject—"

"True mate?" He immediately frowned deeply. "What is that supposed to mean?"

The doctor smiled awkwardly, his tone a little fearful. "I am saying that if possible, your supposed mate is not your true mate, then it can also explain why your body and wolf is rejecting her. It will also explain your mating spot bleeding which—"

"Nonsense!"

Dante snapped.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

The doctor quickly stood up. He rushed out from behind his desk and fell to his knees. "I’m not trying to imply anything, Alpha. I was only trying to give you my theories. I am a doctor after all. Please forgive me!"

Dante stood up and stepped out.

His expression looked frantic, hand wrapped around her bandaged neck. He stepped back and away towards the door.

"Keep searching! Find out why! Give me a proper, reasonable answer, otherwise!..."

He didn’t finish his sentence, rushing his way out of the hospital. As he hurried his footsteps out to his car, the doctor’s words kept ringing in his head.

"That isn’t possible..."

He’d been together with Meris for 2 years now. How could she possibly be a fake mate?

"I sparked with her." He fully remembered the event. "It can’t be possible!"
