Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 768: Expansion Is Expensive
Kairox’s expression finally twisted.
The calm, superior attitude he had carried since the beginning cracked apart under Garion’s mocking grin. "You..."
Golden-red light erupted from his eyes like burning blades. "You think this is funny?"
Garion tilted his head. "A little."
Kairox’s aura exploded as the entire corpse-covered island reacted at once. The remaining dragon corpses that had yet to burn suddenly rose from the ground and flew toward him.
Atlas’s expression changed slightly.
[Garion, he’s gathering everything.]
Kairox spread both arms wide. "Since you think I’m weak, let me show you the true difference between us."
Golden-red system symbols expanded behind him like a massive hunting formation.
[Dragon Hunt Sovereign System]
[Total Harvest Release]
[Sovereign Dragon Hunter Form]
Kairox’s body transformed into the form of a monstrous Dragon Hunter Sovereign, carrying the power and traits of dozens of dead dragons within him.
He raised both hands, and every power he had stolen from those dragons began compressing together into one massive spear.
The spear radiated so much pressure that even the dead island beneath them began cracking apart.
Kairox glared at Garion with hatred. "This is the power of a candidate who actually knows how to use his system properly!"
Garion looked at the massive spear and grinned. "Huh, big move, huh? Let’s see just how powerful it really is."
Kairox frowned before roaring and hurling the spear straight toward Garion, fully intending to kill him.
[Ultimate Dragon Killing Spear]
The spear tore through space, carrying every dragon law he had harvested within one devastating strike.
Garion only grinned and spread his arms as a massive purple-black hole appeared in front of him.
The spear slammed straight into it.
For a moment, the entire surrounding space twisted violently as the black hole began devouring the spear piece by piece.
Kairox’s eyes widened, his composure finally breaking. "No... how can this be? That’s my strongest attack!"
Garion only grinned as a brilliant white glow suddenly appeared in front of Kairox.
Kairox’s pupils shrank the moment he realized what it was.
Garion smiled casually. "Let me give you your own attack back."
All the power the black hole had swallowed erupted outward with even greater force, blasting straight through Kairox’s body.
He didn’t even have time to understand what had happened before his body was completely obliterated by his own attack.
Atlas looked at the fallen candidate and sighed.
[Wasn’t that too simple...? Usually there’d be a long exchange, some dramatic struggle, or at least two more transformations from him as the final boss.]
Garion shrugged. "If this were some game world or anime world, maybe. Too bad the main character of this world is me."
Atlas stared at him.
[What a narcissistic and terrible narrative philosophy.]
Garion grinned and turned toward the floating fragments. "Maybe, but what I said is true, isn’t it?"
---
Garion stared at the barren island for a moment before turning toward Atlas. "So?"
Atlas blinked.
[So what?]
Garion pointed at the fading system fragments with both hands. "My reward. Where is it?"
Atlas stared at him silently.
Garion frowned. "Don’t give me that look. I already killed him. Where’s my mission reward?"
Atlas rubbed his forehead.
[You really have no sense of dramatic silence, do you?]
Garion shrugged. "Drama doesn’t pay rent."
[You own a divine gym empire.]
Garion quickly nodded. "Exactly. Expansion is expensive."
Atlas opened his mouth, then closed it again. For once, he couldn’t even think of a proper argument.
A moment later, the space in front of Garion trembled.
Blue-white system light appeared above the barren island, forming several floating panels.
---
[Mission Complete]
[Dragon Slayer Candidate: Kairox has been eliminated.]
[Reward Distribution Beginning]
[Reward: Personal World]
---
Garion’s eyes immediately brightened. "So, where’s the personal world?"
Atlas sighed.
[Wait a minute. The reward is still being generated.]
A small sphere of blue-white light soon appeared above Garion before suddenly shooting straight into his body.
Garion blinked in confusion. "What happened? Was that my reward? Why the hell did it go inside me?"
Atlas nodded.
[Of course. It’s a personal world, your own personal world, so naturally, it fused with your body. If you want to see it, just focus.]
Garion focused inward, and in the next moment, his consciousness entered the new world.
What greeted him was... a vast, empty landmass stretching in every direction, with nothing but barren ground beneath an endless sky.
Garion stared at it for a few seconds. "Uh... Atlas, why the hell is it so empty?"
Atlas rolled his eyes.
[Because it’s brand new. What did you expect, a fully furnished divine kingdom? If you want this place to stop looking like a wasteland, you’ll have to put things inside it and build it up yourself.]
Garion chuckled. "Hehe, I see. So how do I actually put something inside? I don’t exactly know how this works."
Atlas opened his system interface.
[Wait a minute. Let me check the tutorial first. This is a system-generated personal world, so it doesn’t work exactly like the worlds owned by the gods here.]
A few moments later, Atlas nodded.
[Alright. You basically sacrifice something, and its essence will be absorbed into your personal world.]
[For example, if you sacrifice a planet, its laws, energy, and other useful properties will fuse into this world and help develop it.]
Garion immediately understood. "So, in simple words, I just destroy a fucking planet or world, steal all the useful laws and energy inside it, then plant that shit into my new personal world."
Atlas stared at him.
[That is an unnecessarily criminal way to explain it... but yes.]
Garion grinned. "Oh, pretty nice and simple. No need for cultivation, treasures, or any complicated bullshit like that."
Atlas sighed.
[Fine, fine. You still need to name the world, though. It’s your personal world, after all. Judging from that look on your face, I can already guess what you’re thinking.]
Garion only grinned wider.
Atlas stared at him.
[God Gym World, right? Or are you going to call it Divine Gym World?]
Garion thought for a moment before nodding. "Let’s go with Divine Gym World. Sounds better. It’s basically going to be a divine world built for training gods anyway."
Atlas nodded reluctantly.
[Fine. Divine Gym World it is. I’ve already registered the name. You can check the world’s status later, so for now, let’s head back.]
Garion grinned and stretched his arms. "Yeah, let’s go. I’ve got a new world to build, a gym to expand, and probably a mountain of shit waiting for me back home."
He gave the barren Divine Gym World one last look before his consciousness withdrew and went back to the dragon gods.
