Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 762: Your Screams Are Data
Haran looked toward his opponent, but the moment he saw a small girl with messy twin tails and glasses standing in front of him, his expression immediately darkened. "You..."
His voice rose in anger as he pointed one enormous claw toward Mersha. "You dare mock me like this?! Sending a little girl to fight me?!"
Mersha tilted her head before giggling softly. "Me? Mocking you? Hehehe..."
She casually pushed up her glasses. "I mean, I am a girl. That’s true. But mocking you?"
Her glasses flashed faintly as her grin widened. "Don’t assume I’m weak just because I look like this. My power is much more interesting than you think."
Haran’s expression darkened even further. "Then show me!"
He spread his enormous claws. "If you can’t, then just die here!"
[Mountain-Crushing Claw]
BOOM!
Haran rushed forward, terrifying weight gathering around his enormous arm.
His massive body tore through the fortress hall like a moving mountain, shattering the stone beneath his feet as he charged directly toward Mersha.
He intended to crush her with a single attack.
However, Mersha didn’t immediately dodge.
Instead, she calmly reached into her clothes and pulled out a small bottle filled with crimson liquid. "Hehe..."
She casually threw it toward Haran.
Haran didn’t even bother avoiding it.
CRACK!
The bottle shattered against his chest.
The moment the crimson liquid touched his armor...
BOOOOM!
A violent chemical explosion erupted across Haran’s body, causing the surrounding air to hiss and burn.
The force of the explosion stopped Haran’s charge for a moment as thick smoke rose from his enormous body.
Several sections of his thick bone armor had cracked open, while the flesh underneath had been badly scorched.
However, the damage didn’t last long.
THUMP!
A powerful pulse suddenly spread throughout Haran’s body.
[Tyrant Dragon Body]
His already terrifying physique became even stronger and more resilient as his muscles swelled beneath the armor.
Immediately afterward, another ability activated.
[Dragon Bone Fortress]
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The damaged bone armor began regenerating layer by layer.
Within moments, the cracks disappeared completely, and Haran’s body looked almost untouched again.
Haran glanced down at the fading injuries before throwing his head back and laughing. "Hahaha! Is that all?!"
He slammed one massive claw against his own chest. "This armor makes me impossible to break! Some tiny potion trick isn’t going to kill me!"
Instead of looking disappointed, Mersha’s eyes immediately sparkled. "Interesting..."
She pushed her glasses higher, her smile becoming increasingly excited. "So the bone armor automatically regenerates, while the main enhancement focuses heavily on external skeletal reinforcement..."
Haran frowned. "What the hell are you mumbling about?"
Mersha completely ignored him.
Instead, she reached into her clothes again and pulled out several more bottles.
They were all filled with red liquid, but each possessed a slightly different hue.
Haran narrowed his eyes.
Something about the girl’s expression made him feel strangely uncomfortable.
However, he quickly ignored the feeling.
He was a proud First-Rank Divine Dragon Slayer wearing one of their strongest forbidden equipment sets.
How could he possibly lose to some tiny girl throwing bottles at him? "Hehehe..."
Mersha suddenly threw all the bottles at once.
Haran didn’t even attempt to dodge.
He simply charged straight through them.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The bottles shattered across his massive body, splashing crimson liquid all over his armor.
A few seconds passed, but nothing happened. Finally, Haran burst into laughter. "Hahahaha! What the hell was that?! A failure?! It didn’t even do anything!"
Mersha smiled sweetly. "Are you sure?"
Haran raised an eyebrow, not understanding what she meant. However, before he could say anything, his expression suddenly twisted. "AAAAARGH!"
A horrifying pain suddenly erupted throughout his entire body, and Haran quickly looked down.
To his shock, smoke was rising from every tiny gap in his armor. "What the fuck?!"
The potion wasn’t attacking his bone armor at all. Instead, it had seeped through the tiny gaps between the plates and was directly melting the flesh underneath.
SSSSSSSS!
Mersha immediately clapped her hands together happily. "Hahaha! Just as I thought!"
She stared at Haran like a researcher who had just confirmed an exciting theory. "Your armor focuses too heavily on strengthening and regenerating your bones. The enhancement to the flesh underneath isn’t nearly as impressive!"
Her grin became increasingly creepy as she began pulling out bottle after bottle. "You know, those first potions weren’t designed to melt bones in the first place."
She held up another crimson bottle and shook it excitedly. "They’re designed to melt flesh."
Mersha giggled. "And this particular batch is my special blend. I specifically made it strong enough to melt even a god’s flesh."
Haran roared in fury and pain as smoke continued pouring from beneath his armor. "You crazy bitch! I’M GOING TO TEAR YOU APART!"
Instead of becoming frightened, Mersha’s smile only grew wider.
She slowly licked her lips while examining his reactions with terrifying interest. "Hehehe... good."
She pulled out another bottle. "Keep screaming."
Her glasses flashed beneath the fortress lights. "The louder you scream, the easier it is for me to figure out which parts are working best."
---
Arden shuddered when he saw Haran screaming under Mersha’s potions.
As usual, her potions were far too frightening.
Even after spending so much time with her, Arden still felt uncomfortable whenever Mersha became excited about experiments.
"Why does she look happier the louder he screams?"
Arden quickly shook his head and forced himself to look away.
Now was not the time to be distracted. His opponent was still right in front of him.
Camris stood several dozen meters away, breathing heavily like a starving beast.
The [Blood Eclipse Drake Regalia] pulsed across his crimson-black body, and the glowing red veins beneath his skin squirmed like living worms.
Arden sighed softly. "Honestly, what do I even do with you?"
He raised one hand, and green divine nature energy slowly gathered around his fingertips.
"Your state seems extremely unstable. Your equipment is strengthening your speed and bloodlust, but it’s also eating away at your mind. If I handle this wrong, you might become even more troublesome."
Camris didn’t answer. His body suddenly blurred before vanishing into a streak of crimson shadow.
[Eclipse Wing Flash]
In the next instant, he appeared directly in front of Arden, one blade-like arm already slashing toward his chest.
However, just before the blade could touch Arden’s skin, a thick layer of tree bark suddenly grew over that exact spot.
CLANG!
The blade struck the bark, sending sparks flying, but the force still managed to push Arden back a few steps.
Camris’s eyes widened slightly.
Arden looked down at the cut across his bark armor, then let out a sigh. "Can’t you wait just a little?"
He raised his head and looked at Camris with a helpless expression. "Why does my opponent have to be someone like you?"
