Chapter 2301: Chapter 1916: Tinted Glasses
As the boss, shouldn’t it be inappropriate to laugh at your guests?
Lun Jing held back her laughter, but she couldn’t resist peeking out to see the fisherman’s movements, nor could she hold back her next words:
"Really didn’t catch a single fish, huh!"
Daoist Qingyun is really something. So, what was he trying to say when he looked at me before, wanting to say something but stopping himself?
It just so happened that three more people returned together and heard these words by the door, and they couldn’t help but chuckle.
What can we say, even though their catch was also meager, hearing that someone else didn’t catch anything at all just felt so satisfying!
But saying there are no fish in the river, that can’t be right.
Because the bait was indeed good bait, it’s just that the fish were as crafty as thieves, picking places where there were no hooks, preferring to nibble away the meat bite by bite without biting the hook.
That shouldn’t be the case!
Isn’t this riverside supposed to be seldom visited by people for fishing?
Who cultivated such bad habits in them?
Everyone was discussing animatedly, and when they looked inside the fish holder, there were at least three to five fish in there!
Grass carp, silver carp, crucian carp, and they were big ones too.
So, even though they were picky, no one mentioned going back, they just asked Lun Jing if she had a big tank to keep their catches alive and fresh.
The fisherman who caught no fish was ignored and felt embarrassed to ask the Daoist master about divination, so he muttered:
"Get me a bucket too."
Lun Jing was curious: didn’t he say he didn’t catch a single fish?
But before she could ask, a familiar fisherman said: "Old Zheng, you might as well not keep them, just a few there, clean them up and cook them tonight so the guys can have a taste."
"Taste what, taste what!" Old Zheng was indignant, "You guys just got a bit lucky, I didn’t choose a good spot today is all, I’ll pick another spot tomorrow."
"And besides, why don’t you stew your fish for a taste? Mine isn’t even enough to fill a tooth gap."
Lun Jing understood, so there were no fish, but there were other things?
She silently brought over a bucket.
However, when the fisherman opened his fish holder, inside there were 10 big, claw-waving crayfish!
Lun Jing’s eyes widened: "Can you catch crayfish in the river?"
"Exactly!" The fisherman was even more exasperated, almost cursing, "Isn’t this a scam? I didn’t see any indication that there’d be crayfish over there when I picked my spot!"
Though these crayfish were large, with hard shells and sharp pincers which looked quite powerful, they were indeed good crayfish.
But they sure weren’t fish!
Lun Jing felt helpless: people did pay a few hundred to stay here after all.
No fish, that’s a lack of skill; all crayfish, there’s definitely a problem, isn’t there?
She quickly called Song Tan, while reassuring them: "Don’t worry, I’ll ask the boss, and we’ll sort this out soon."
If we really can’t figure it out, we’ll send over some extra worms tomorrow.
Song Tan was also puzzled, staring at her phone, unable to figure it out.
It shouldn’t be like this; the crayfish are supposed to be comfortably raised in the outer ditches by the lotus pond, so why would they run to the river?
She was puzzled, also comforting the other party:
"Aunt, tell the guests not to worry, let them wash up, rest, and eat something, I’ll go to the river and see what’s going on. Don’t worry, we’ll give an explanation."
As it got dark, she went out with a flashlight, and Lun Chuan quickly followed, curious:
"Could it be that the crayfish dug holes and crawled out?"
"That’s possible, but..."
Song Tan didn’t finish her thought: in terms of Spiritual Energy concentration, the area around the lotus pond should be richer than the continuously flowing river.
Generally speaking, crayfish wouldn’t willingly escape outside, unless—
She concluded firmly, "There’s an insider."
Lun Chuan was also speechless.
After a moment, the two exchanged a glance—not that they were being prejudiced, but among the farm’s staff, none other than Liubao had a record, right?
Right now, the two of them drove all the way to the Riverside Beach.
The employees were taking turns to have their meals, but Chen Chi and Chen Xi were still diligently tidying up the fodder.
Seeing them coming over, the dogs, again drenched by the rain, rushed over in a swarm, making them drenched and in a sorry state.
Song Tan had no choice; although she had great suspicions about Liubao, to catch a thief, you need to catch them in the act, so she had to comfort them one by one.
Especially Da Wang, over here at the Riverside Beach, no one feared it, the space was vast, the cattle and sheep were obedient, it was without a doubt its stronghold.
To be honest, staying here was more comfortable than watching the pigs on the back hill, after all, there were only a few pigs on the back hill, and it wasn’t exciting even when a wild boar occasionally shows up.
