It was rare for Alana to be so proactive, and for a moment, Stephan felt his blood boil.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he took control.

He kissed her until she was too weak to resist, then cupped her face and asked,

“In such a hurry? Want to do it in the car? If you want to, it’s not out of the question.”

Alana’s cheeks were flushed to the point of embarrassment; she couldn’t bring herself to look at him. “Let’s wait until we get back.”

Stephan said nothing, simply buckling her seatbelt and his own in the process.

Then, gripping the steering wheel and pressing the accelerator, he sped off.

They had just arrived at the apartment.

Stephan couldn’t wait to lift Alana out of the car, kissing her as they walked.

They hadn’t even made it to the couch yet. Alana was pressed against the door by the man, and he took her fiercely right there. The man’s skills were so incredible that Alana instantly felt light as a feather, as if she had reached heaven.

She didn’t know how much time had passed.

Everything had calmed down.

Relieved and exhausted, Alana had already fallen asleep.

Stephan helped her wash up, carried her back to the bed, laid her down, and covered her with the blanket.

After tidying everything up, he picked up his phone and walked out of the bedroom.

“Find out where that woman, Darla, is right now.”

He wasn’t stupid; from Alana’s few words, he naturally guessed that Darla was inextricably linked to this!

He had warned Darla long ago. Since she wouldn’t listen, she’d just have to face his wrath!

*****************

After finishing her shift at the hospital, Darla was about to drive home. She hadn’t even made it halfway.

Suddenly, a black car rammed into the front of her car with great force.

“Ah!” Darla screamed, her face pale with fear.

Fortunately, the impact wasn’t too severe.

Fortunately, she had hit the brakes in time. But the front of her car was badly damaged. Although she wasn’t seriously injured, she had bumped her forehead and felt a bit dizzy.

Once she had recovered, she couldn’t help but touch her forehead where she’d been hit, a lump had already formed.

Thinking back on the harrowing moment, she felt an indescribable rage.

What kind of blind fool was driving without looking where they were going and crashed into her car??

She quickly opened the car door, intending to confront the other driver.

But just as she reached the other car, the window slowly rolled down, revealing a face so handsome it was enough to make gods and mortals alike seethe with envy.

The man wore a black shirt, his long, slender fingers casually resting on the steering wheel, exuding an indescribable sex appeal.

Darla gasped in surprise, “Stephan?”

Stephan turned his head slightly, casting a glance at Darla.

His gaze was cold, yet the corners of his mouth curled into a faint, ambiguous smile.

“Darla, how does it feel to be hit by a car?”

Darla looked at him in disbelief. “Stephan, what exactly do you mean by this? What have I ever done to you to deserve this?!”

Stephan’s expression was nonchalant, yet it carried a faint hint of menace.

“I’ve told you before: don’t harbor any ill intentions toward my woman. If you do, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

“Last time, I warned you and gave you a chance, but since you didn’t take it seriously, there’s nothing I can do. This time, consider it a minor lesson. Next time, it won’t be such a simple lesson.”

Darla clenched her teeth in anger. “Stephan, you’ve got this all wrong! I haven’t had any improper intentions toward Alana. Is she just jealous of me and whispering nonsense in your ear?!”

“Darla, I know exactly what you are to me. Don’t try to pull any of that bullshit jealous nonsense on me! I’ve made my warning clear. My Alana, if you dare lay a finger on her again, I won’t hold back!”

Darla laughed bitterly. “After what you did to me today, aren’t you afraid I’ll call the police?”

Stephan sneered, “Go ahead. My men have already destroyed the nearby surveillance cameras. If you have evidence, go ahead and report it.”

“Besides, I’m not afraid of you calling the police. If I had the nerve to run you over, I have the nerve to get away. You don’t have the guts to threaten me with the police.”

Stephan picked up a bank card and tossed it casually onto Darla, the gesture dripping with humiliation.

“Here’s your medical bill and the cost of the car damage. Consider it compensation for crashing into your car.”

“Goodbye.”

“No, I hope we never see each other again.”

Without giving Darla a chance to react, the man drove off, vanishing from her sight like a gust of wind.

Darla trembled with rage.

She never imagined Stephan could be so ruthless and merciless!

Just to get back at Alana, he actually took matters into his own hands and rammed her car!

Wasn’t he afraid of causing an accident?

He was a complete madman!

Stephan returned home, went into the bedroom, and saw that Alana was still asleep.

Without waking her, he tiptoed into bed and embraced her.

Actually, dealing with Darla wasn’t worth his trouble. But he was so furious that he had to teach Darla a lesson himself.

If he didn’t handle it himself, Darla would never realize just how detestable she was!

He gazed at her delicate, beautiful sleeping face and her slightly furrowed brows.

He reached out and gently smoothed them away.

“Sleep soundly. I’ve already dealt with the person who was bullying you.”

As if hearing the man’s soothing words, Alana’s tense expression slowly relaxed.

Stephan curved his lips and gave her a light kiss on the lips.

Meanwhile, Darla returned to the Gordon residence looking quite disheveled.

Agnes saw her and was horrified. She rushed over and asked with concern, “What happened?”

“How did you end up like this?”

Darla raised her eyes, her icy gaze fixed on Agnes, a look that seemed to want to cut Agnes into a thousand pieces.

Agnes shuddered, overcome with fear.

Darla’s menacing gaze fixed on Agnes.

“Aunt Agnes, you’ve really done me a favor! You went to see Alana, didn’t you? Did you fail to convince her to leave Stephan?”

Hearing this, Agnes dared not meet Darla’s gaze. “I’m... I’m sorry. I did my best. I’ve already let Lana down so many times; I just couldn’t bear to... destroy her happiness...”

Darla gave a cold laugh. “Hah. You couldn’t bear to hurt your abandoned daughter, but because of your mercy, I was nearly killed by her!”

Agnes froze. “What do you mean?”

How did this get tied to Alana?

Darla sneered, “It’s simple. Your daughter went whining and whispering in Stephan’s ear, badmouthing me. Because of her, Stephan drove his car straight at me, I nearly got run over!”

Agnes turned pale with shock. “How could that be...”

Darla was furious. “Why wouldn’t it happen? Your daughter is a scheming woman who’ll stop at nothing to get what she wants. To get rid of me, she actually had Stephan run me over with his car. How despicable and vicious!”

“It was you who went to persuade her to break up with Stephan. Why isn’t she taking it out on you, but on me instead? Isn’t it because she wants to get rid of me?”

Agnes turned pale. “I... I never expected this...”

Darla smiled. “Of course you didn’t expect it, because she’s far more cunning and cruel than you could ever imagine!”

Agnes shuddered.

Darla stared at Agnes. “My father will be back soon. I wonder how you’ll explain to him that he’ll find me in this state, all because of your daughter.”

Agnes’ breath caught. “Don’t... don’t tell him...”

Darla’s smile held a chill. “So what do you want to do?”
