Help! My One-Night Stand Is Examining Me?!
Chapter 337 Deadly attacks
Jamin’s eyes lit up instantly. “Oh my, you didn’t come with him. Did you two break up? If you’ve broken up, can you give me a chance? I promise I’ll treat you Pretty lady well.”
Children really do speak their minds, they’ll say anything.
Alana sighed helplessly, “We haven’t broken up. Not only that, but I’m actually planning to marry him and settle down.”
“Huh?” His chubby cheeks showed visible disappointment.
But he was quick to adapt and soon convinced himself to accept it.
“Well, I’ll still wish you and that old man all the best.”
Alana chuckled. Why did he sound so reluctant even when offering his blessings?
Eve had just finished using the restroom and came out to meet Alana. Seeing Alana chatting and laughing with a little boy, she couldn’t help but walk over and ask, “Lana, who’s this cutie?”
Alana glanced at Eve and introduced him, “His name is Jamin. We just met by chance.”
Eve realized, “Oh, so you just met him by chance. I was just thinking he was the illegitimate child you’d secretly given birth to behind my back.”
Alana blinked.
That was way too far-fetched.
She was only twenty-three... how could she possibly have a seven- or eight-year-old son already?
Jamin was also taken aback by Eve’s beauty, and his inner childish playboy instincts began to stir.
“Lady, you’re so pretty too. Do you have a boyfriend? If you don’t, can I ask you out?”
Eve glanced at the short, fair-skinned little kid, shook her head, and refused him sternly, “Oh my, you’re too young, you haven’t even grown any facial hair yet. I wouldn’t take a chance with you!”
Jamin blinked.
At that moment, the lyrics of a song popped into his head.
‘A heart that’s been broken... who can it love now...’
“Won’t you at least consider it?”
“I’ve got the advantage of being young!”
“You’re too young. I have a taste for older men, I just can’t bring myself to go for you!”
Jamin pouted.
What did that mean?
Was she making fun of him for being too young to get the joke?
Just then, the Gordon family’s driver jogged over to find him.
“Young Master, Madam is waiting for you in the car. Hurry up and come with me.”
Alana said to Jamin, “You should go home now.”
Eve chimed in, “Little brat, your mom’s calling you home for dinner. Hurry up and go!”
Jamin was pretty devastated by this, his lips still pouting.
“Alright then, two pretty ladies, goodbye.”
“Yeah, goodbye.” Alana watched as Jamin followed the driver away.
Eve couldn’t help but tug at Alana’s arm.
“By the way, are you really not related to that little boy at all?”
Alana looked puzzled. “What kind of relationship could there be?”
“Don’t you think you look a lot like him?”
Alana scoffed. “Stop joking around.”
“I’m serious. When you were standing next to him just now, I actually thought he was your son.”
Alana shook her head, thinking Eve’s imagination was running wild.
“He has a mother, okay? Besides, I’m so young, I couldn’t possibly have given birth to such a big kid.”
Eve suddenly dropped a bombshell: “If you didn’t give birth to him, does that mean he was born to that mom who abandoned you?”
It wasn’t her fault she thought that, the two really did look so much alike.
They looked even more like Alana did when she was a child.
Alana’s expression changed instantly.
Eve seemed to realize she’d stepped on a landmine by mentioning Alana’s mother, and quickly slapped herself across the face. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have said that.”
Alana shook her head. “It’s fine. I just think there are a lot of people in this world who look alike. Just because they look similar doesn’t mean they’re related.”
Eve immediately nodded in agreement. “Yeah, you’re right. I was just overthinking it.”
Alana lowered her eyes, but she couldn’t help but wonder.
Did she really look like this child, Jamin?
Actually, she had noticed it too.
Jamin actually looked quite similar to her when she was a child, especially after she saw a photo of herself from when she was seven or eight years old during her recent trip back to her hometown...
But surely that was just a coincidence.

Jamin got into the car and, seeing Agnes sitting in the backseat, couldn’t help but ask, “Mommy, why did you come back to the car all by yourself? I just saw that pretty lady. I told you to come say hello with me, why didn’t you come?”
Agnes’ expression darkened slightly.
She really hadn’t expected that coming out to take her son to see a movie would lead her to run into Alana.
Perhaps because she felt guilty toward this daughter, she always timidly avoided her, afraid to face her.
She said to Jamin, “Son, I’m sorry. Mommy wasn’t feeling well just now, so I got in the car to rest for a bit.”
“Oh, I see. So, Mom, are you still feeling unwell? Should we go to the hospital?”
After shook her head. “No, it’s fine. I’ll just rest at home.”
Jamin immediately urged the driver, “Uncle Driver, let’s hurry home! My mom isn’t feeling well and needs to rest!”
The driver nodded. “Right away, young master!”
Seeing her son being so thoughtful, Agnes’ heart warmed.
Thankfully, she still had such a caring son.
**************
Eve drove Alana back to Stephan’s apartment.
Stephan was already waiting at the door.
The tall man leaned against the front door, his hands in his pockets.
His deep, piercing eyes were fixed intently on Eve’s Maserati.
His gaze was so piercing it seemed capable of seeing right through the car window, taking in everything.
Eve got goosebumps under Stephan’s intense, dark gaze.
“Oh my god, does he think I’m some random guy you’re seeing on the side?”
Alana shook her head. “No, I’ve already explained it to him. I’m just out with my best friend.”
Eve was puzzled. “Then why is he looking at me like he’s about to catch me in the act?”
“Um... maybe you’re just imagining things.”
“Let’s get you out of the car. I don’t want to get beaten up by your man.”
Perhaps because she’d previously talked Alana into dating Luca, she now felt a bit nervous facing Alana’s boyfriend.
Alana asked thoughtfully, “Don’t you want to get out and have a cup of water before we go?”
Eve immediately shook her head. “No, thanks. I value my life too much, I’m afraid your man might try to kill me in a series of deadly attacks.”
Alana burst into laughter.
After dropping Alana off, Eve flashed her lights, turned a corner, and sped off in a flash.
Alana, worried, called out after her, “Drive carefully!”
No sooner had the words left her mouth than the car shot forward, speeding up even more.
At that moment, Stephan had already walked up behind Alana and asked in a sarcastic tone, “Why is your friend driving so fast? Did she do something behind my back?”
Alana turned around and saw the man’s handsome face, which looked a bit moody. She cleared her throat. “Uh, no, I don’t think so. We just went to see a movie. I’m not doing anything behind your back.”
“Just a movie, huh? Your relationship is way too ambiguous.”
Alana blinked.
Wait, wasche actually jealous of her best friend?
Frowned, she let out. “It’s not ambiguous. She has a boyfriend. If she’s being ambiguous, it’s with her boyfriend.”
Stephan snorted with a laugh, “Then why didn’t she go see the movie with her boyfriend? Instead, she dragged you along?”
