Heaven, Earth, Me
Chapter 1718. Opening The Door By Force.
Chapter 1718: Chapter 1718. Opening The Door By Force.
While Angel and the others worked on the formations, the other groups present didn’t stay still. This place looked quite ancient and also valuable.
The fact that Yasenia’s sense of smell picked up on this area spoke volumes about its value.
Yasenia was paying attention to the surroundings and noticed several groups forming. She asked Xinlin about it. "Can you summarize those groups?"
Xinlin stopped speaking with some of the nearby sect masters and turned to look at the dragon. The other sect masters and leaders did the same.
"Let’s see... Over there, you have the royals. They are powers who unconditionally support the crown. Difficult to deal with. Those over there are Divines with connections outside, the same as those demons. They usually participate to compare juniors. So, it will be a good chance for us to get to know their new prodigies."
Hu Xingdi spoke up as well. "Madam Yasenia, you need to be careful of that group. They are true neutrals, but they are the ones who have the most freedom to act. An annoying bunch that, sadly for you, are also allied with a Dragon Hunter branch."
Yasenia blinked and hummed. "No wonder I was sensing a gaze from that side. They have Dragon Hunters."
Xinlin’s eyes chilled. "Who is looking at you? I want to see who has the gall to think of anything strange."
Yasenia chuckled. "Don’t worry. They are neither the first nor will be the last group of Dragon Hunters I will meet. If they dare come, I have a few surprises prepared for them."
Hu Xingdi sighed. "Sect Master Jian has made an interesting ally. That’s for sure."
Yasenia smiled at him, her draconic features smiling. "Allies are what I lack the most now, so we are accepting on a first-come, first-served basis. Would Lord Hu want a fresh portion of it?"
Hu Xingdi chuckled. "Since you offer it with such sincerity, not accepting would be impolite."
A few others chimed in as well, following that half-playful yet serious tone.
As they exchanged pleasantries, one of them softly exclaimed. "Oh! The two groups leading some Demon and Divine juniors have arrived."
They looked over, and Yasenia checked the two groups. There were plenty of strong individuals Yasenia knew she would lose against. Her strength was not yet able to be classified in the upper echelons of this world, at least when it comes to comparing herself with the leaders.
"Hm?"
Andrea, who had been leaning peacefully with her arms crossed against Yasenia’s dragon body, raised an eyebrow. "That Divine... That Demon as well..."
Among all the girls, Andrea was the only one of the same generation as Isla and Jaxon. Back then, she lagged behind them in cultivation talent, but her blacksmithing proficiency kept her in the same league. So, in tournaments and other places, she would meet them and hear about them often.
The two talents who had belonged among the top of the Heavenly and Demonic Cults in the Sky Continent were bound to be famous.
Yasenia followed her gaze, and her eyes widened a touch. "Isla?"
To Yasenia, Isla was someone special. She was someone of a similar generation to hers who had gone face-to-face against her and, over that, crushed her.
Back then, Dr. Ava had to do some surgery on her to make sure nothing went wrong with her body. The injuries were that severe.
Her gaze shifted to the demon, and her eyes narrowed. "...Jaxon."
The man who stole her Baby’s shield (This is a fact and not at all a very twisted memory).
The two of them didn’t notice them yet, though.
Xinlin glanced at Yasenia with curiosity. "You know Young Lady Isla and Young Master Jaxon?"
Yasenia hesitated to answer. She hadn’t yet revealed that she was very, very young. Until now, she had kept it a secret because it would hurt their credibility.
In the cultivation world, strength and experience reigned supreme. Even if you were very talented, an ancient cultivator’s words would often overshadow your opinions.
Still, with those two here, hiding it was an impossible matter. As long as they met, Yasenia was sure they would recognize her. In the secret realm, Yasenia had already taken her dragon form, comparable in size to her current form.
It was impossible that they would not remember her because she had caused quite a scene in that place with her awakening and all. She even stole... recuperated Angel’s shield from Jaxon.
So, she sighed and showed a troubled look. "Truly, the vastness of Heaven and Earth is boundless, but familiar faces will cross often. That saying is truly accurate."
Hu Xingdi asked, confused. "How do you know those two juniors, Madam Yasenia?"
Yasenia blurted it out instead of dragging it out. "They were my seniors in a place where I cultivated during my mortal days."
Some people nodded and showed looks of realization, while Xinlin froze and widened her eyes. "Wait... Seniors? Aren’t those two barely 300-year-olds?"
Yasenia glanced at her and shrugged, her wings bobbing with the gesture. "That’s right. They are around my same age and generation."
Tong Zhou’s eyes widened to an incredible degree. "Y-You... How old are you?"
Yasenia cleared her throat and spoke. "Around 250 years old."
"H-Heavens have mercy."
Some clutched their hearts from shock, while others almost had a cultivation deviation. Xinlin herself was looking at Yasenia as if she were a freak of nature.
She had seen her fight. She had even seen her land a strike on Tong Zhou without any tricks! Even if it was a spar, Tong Zhou was a Half-Step. This didn’t make any sense at all.
Hu Xingdi’s eyes were gleaming with astonishment. "Incredible... To think that we couldn’t even tell."
When she saw their perception shift, Yasenia unleashed a trace of her Dragon Strength and pushed it at everyone, making them recoil in shock. "I might be young, but what I’ve built is neither false nor cheated. I hope that just because I am young, you don’t get the wrong idea that I will be easy to deceive."
The dragon’s momentary majesty forced everyone to hold their breath. Even then, the number of her age was still prevalent, and it wouldn’t really leave their minds. Yes, Yasenia was a monstrous talent, but such talents were usually quite arrogant.
Therefore, many labels were already involuntarily placed on Yasenia even with Yasenia’s show of strength. Strength, after all, didn’t equate to wisdom.
Tatyana raised her head from the formations and looked around coldly. Knowing what these people were thinking, Tatyana decided to act. She wouldn’t let her Little Treasure’s efforts go to naught just because of her age. Not when she was backing her.
"You children are all younger than I, so you better not think anything wrong."
Gazes gathered on her, and for the first time, Tatyana unleashed her Death Empress persona from deep within. The air around their group gathering seemed to ripple, and the weight on everyone’s shoulders was as if the sky itself was pressing on them.
No longer was there a languid, dangerous beauty. Now, in her place, a true ruler, whose momentum seemed to surpass even the Emperor’s, manifested from nowhere.
As her blood-red eyes leaked light like bloody mist, Tatyana added. "If you dare underestimate this Venerable’s Little Treasure, you will regret it. I usually don’t involve myself, but that will change swiftly if I feel like it."
Although Tatyana would be delighted and proud of her baby if Yasenia could take over alone like in Distancia, she wouldn’t stay on the sidelines like back then.
In Distancia, she was a spectator.
Now, she was an active participant.
After freezing everyone with the pressure of her gaze, Tatyana looked away, and her presence returned once more, her languid, alluring, yet dangerous self substituting the Death Empress.
Some gulped, the sound loud enough for others to hear. Bao Aiquin, who had been observing from the sidelines, was quick to the uptake. "O-Of course, we wouldn’t dare underestimate Madam Yasenia. On the contrary, such a Heavenly and unmatched talent is someone who is worth befriending at almost any cost."
Others quickly got up to take, feeling strangely intimidated by Tatyana’s display. If Yasenia felt like an up-and-coming, bright, intimidating star, Tatyana felt like a massive void whose end you couldn’t even begin to guess.
However, the individuals gathered here weren’t random people. They were leaders and powerhouses in their own right. So, after the feeling passed, they quickly regained their composure and calmed down.
Some of them couldn’t help but frown
Jian Xinlin quickly eased the mood. "I had not expected Madam Yasenia to be this young, but it doesn’t matter. In our world, strength matters, and Madam Yasenia is bound to become a bright star who will match up to any of us present. As a young Dragon, her potential is limitless."
Hu Xingdi was deeply fond of young talent, so he quickly agreed. "Indeed. The Dravory Clan is in its infancy, and it already has future prospects enough to rival some top families. It’s truly delightful to watch."
Even Zhuo Lianyu agreed, adding a few words.
Yasenia accepted them with proper, polite words and returned some as well. However, she knew that even with Tatyana’s warning, her situation was now a touch more delicate. ’As long as I don’t make mistakes and take advantage of when they want to trick me, people will forget about my age soon enough.’
Her golden eyes shifted toward the Divines and Demons, and she noticed a few of them looking their way. Isla and Jaxon, though, were more focused on the structure in front of them. ’Not that it matters much. When Angel and Tatyana finish their work, it would be quite interesting to see their reaction.’
"A bunch of cowards."
A voice reached them from the side of the Demonic Sects. A tall man with handsome features and a long, black robe stepped forward. His face was finely sculpted but icy cold, with a trance of deep, killing intent around his body. Xinlin whispered quietly. "He is Ma Haishan. Sect Master of the Demonic Supreme Sect, Netherbone Sect."
Yasenia nodded silently and watched the show. The man stepped in front of the door, and then he placed his hand on it. A monstrous aura of darkness boomed out from him.
Xinlin quickly deployed a defensive barrier to protect Yasenia and the others, just in case.
"Open. [Nether Palm]."
BOOM!!
The doors trembled violently, but they didn’t budge. The man looked at it and spoke. "If five or so of us gather together, we can easily open it."
Yasenia’s eyebrow twitched. ’His ego is impressive. After uttering the word open so majestically, he ended up failing, and now he asks for help.’
Xinlin pondered and glanced at Yasenia. "Yasenia, how long do you think we’ll need to create the opening formation?"
Yasenia glanced at Tatyana, and she answered without looking. "32 hours. Forcing it open won’t be a pleasant experience for them. So, just wait patiently."
Xinlin and the others pondered. Seeing some Sect Masters move to open the door with Ma Haishan, they decided that staying behind would cost them treasures. So some people bowed faintly and joined them.
Xinlin hesitated, but in the end, she stayed behind. Surprisingly, around 60% of the groups chose to trust Tatyana’s words.
Ma Haishan was not all talk, though. Together with a few other Sect Masters, they struck the door at once and blasted it open.
BOOM!
Ma Haishan snorted. "Enough waiting. First come, first served."
Then, almost everyone rushed inside through the wide-open doors. Yasenia, though, didn’t feel the slightest rush. ’If Mom says that they will have a bad time, we better wait.’
