Chapter 976: Chapter 400: Can Men and Women Really Be Just Friends?

"Oh." Vivi’s expression suddenly turned odd, "Alright, why didn’t you remind me earlier..."

But Harry thought Vivi must have done it on purpose, after all, her crystal ball was the latest version, and it could completely see the scene around Harry.

He didn’t believe that Vivi couldn’t tell he was now in the Headmaster’s Office, given that a large portion of those buzzing silver instruments had been snuck from Vivi’s treasure.

By Gellert.

Considering Gellert was Vivi’s own brother, otherwise, a hundred lives wouldn’t have been enough to beat him.

Vivi quickly hung up the phone in her embarrassment, leaving the awkwardness with Harry.

But Dumbledore did not seem awkward at all, he smiled at Harry and asked, "So, does Vivi mean you’re coming to Hogwarts after dinner?"

"Yes, Professor." Harry nodded and replied, then tentatively asked, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave now, Professor—there’s Magic Potion Class soon."

Dumbledore didn’t keep him in the office any longer, nodding to indicate he could leave.

At two in the afternoon, Magic Potion Class officially started.

Ron had also chosen the Magic Potion Class, and his grades barely made the passing line—that was the result of Snape’s special training for him.

In Professor Snape’s words—your ink-grinding technique is unrefined, your stirring is weak, and your control over the heat isn’t right, yet you still wish to join my advanced class, it’s simply a dream!

But Ron wouldn’t let that stop him, even stubbornly, after some time of special training, he finally succeeded in entering the Magic Potion Class advanced class.

Unfortunately, the moment he successfully enrolled, he regretted it.

Damn, why try so hard?

If he had slacked off, he might not have had to see the irksome Professor Snape this year.

There’s no such thing as a regret potion to buy in this world.

"Professor," Harry raised his hand somewhat awkwardly, "I forgot my textbook—"

Professor Snape coldly glanced at Harry, pointing to an old bookcase nearby.

"There are old books in there, choose one at will."

Feeling like he was granted clemency, Harry stepped forward, picked and chose, and selected an old textbook.

What he didn’t notice was, on the back cover of the book, there was a line of small text.

"This book belongs to the Half-Blood Prince."

During the Magic Potion Class, Professor Snape seemed to fixate on Ron, and after giving out the assignments, he walked over to watch Ron’s entire potion-making process.

Harry’s potion-making speed had never been magical, and Snape couldn’t be bothered to watch him, lest he lose his patience entirely.

Without Professor Snape’s death stare, he relaxed and began to read the old book.

He found that the previous owner of the textbook had scribbled all over it, making every page’s margins just as black and smudged as the areas with potion instructions.

The handwriting was messy, and Harry had to make an effort to decipher the guide from the textbook owner’s random scrawls.

For some reason, the previous owner disagreed with the book’s instruction to slice the Sleeping Beans and instead wrote an alternative note: pressing with the flat side of a silver short knife yields more juice than slicing.

Perhaps... try it?

Harry took out a silver knife and pressed the Sleeping Beans with the flat side.

He was surprised to find that the beans immediately oozed a great amount of juice; it was hard to believe those shriveled beans held so much moisture.

Where did that water come from?

This fellow... seems quite skilled!

Harry decided to toss the book to Ron for him to study thoroughly.

After class, Harry handed the book to Ron, who looked as sour as a stepmother.

"Here." He said, "Buddy, I’ve found something good; you should take it and study it well."

"What good thing?"

Ron took the book, and the two walked side by side towards the Gryffindor common room.

He casually flipped through it, curiously saying, "Isn’t this just an old, used book? What’s so special about it?"

"I found the original owner of this book had quite a lot going on." Harry patted Ron’s shoulder and said, "Look, there’s all sorts of exclusive methods he’s discovered written on here. I tested a couple, like pressing the Sleeping Beans with the flat side of a silver knife, and those dried beans immediately oozed a lot of juice—you should thoroughly study this textbook, maybe you won’t be troubled again."

As for any potential troubles, Harry didn’t mention a thing.

He was worried, what if Snape suddenly appeared behind him?

Ron was indeed intrigued and browsed through the book, noticing the line of small text.

"This book belongs to the Half-Blood Prince?" he laughed, "Who on earth is so pretentious as to call themselves the Half-Blood Prince? Hahaha... It’s hard to believe they’re already a sixth-year wizard."

"Is that so?" Harry was also quite interested and leaned next to Ron, indeed seeing the familiar handwriting.

"Anyway, thank you." Ron saw Hermione approaching and put away the textbook, "Buddy, I really must thank you, this might actually save me—I’m feeling a bit hopeful this year."

Harry didn’t say anything, just gave a thumbs up and a wink.

After getting the textbook, Ron didn’t show it off in front of Hermione, but secretly hid it in the dorm room to avoid being discovered by Hermione.

He knew full well, similar things had happened in Slytherin before when Voldemort disguised himself as Cassandra Malfoy’s diary and caused chaos within Slytherin—he had no doubt Hermione would immediately confiscate this mysterious book.

During dinner, a torrential rain began to pour outside.

The magical sky on the Great Hall’s ceiling turned exceptionally gloomy, as if a storm were about to break out any moment.
