Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 919: Chapter 371: Voldemort’s Insidious Plot_2
From Marvolo Gaunt’s appearance, it is not hard to guess that she doesn’t look that great either—in fact, she confirms this, her long hair resembling dull, lifeless straw, her complexion as pale as if she had been starved in a basement for months. As for her looks... well, it’s hard to say she’s ugly, but she’s nothing special either.
This can be attributed to the fact that she didn’t inherit her father Marvolo’s buck teeth.
Harry froze at the sight; this was Voldemort’s mother, Melop Gaunt, the woman whose name was borrowed by the male counterpart of Little Voldemort.
There was another man, whom Harry vaguely remembered seeing in a memory. Wasn’t his name Ogden or something?
At this moment, Moffin approached his sister with a sinister laugh, whispering in her ear, "’Dear,’ my dear sister, did you hear that? Your sweetheart called her ’dear,’ it seems you have no chance at all, sister..."
Melop turned pale, looking as if she was about to faint... she wasn’t so close to collapsing before Moffin uttered those words.
Unexpectedly, Marvolo became exceptionally furious upon hearing this.
He tapped the armrest with his hand, asking heavily, "What did you say? What did you say, Moffin!"
"She likes watching that Muggle," Moffin said, staring at his sister with a malicious grin, while Melop appeared extremely terrified, "Every time that Muggle passes by, she’s in the garden looking at him over the fence, isn’t she? Last night—"
Melop shook her head desperately in a plea, but Moffin mercilessly continued, "She lingered outside the window, waiting to see that Muggle ride home, didn’t she?"
"Lingered outside the window to watch a Muggle?" Gaunt asked softly.
The three of them from the Gaunt family seemed to have forgotten Ogden’s presence.
Faced with a new outbreak of unintelligible muttering and coarse shouts, Ogden appeared both confused and angry.
Harry, on the other hand, grasped the essence of it, thinking how could the self-proclaimed ’pure-blood’ Gaunt family allow Melop to fall in love with a Muggle?
Even taking a step back, the Gaunt family has always been like rabbits—self-sufficient, in Marvolo’s view, Melop should have been paired with Moffin to keep the bloodline pure.
I must say, it’s a little revolting, Harry thought.
Yet, he couldn’t fully understand Melop. You’re indeed quite pitiful as a mom, but could you not mess with Old Tom?
Just think about it, Old Tom’s family is wealthy and has social status, and just because you like him, you gave him a Love Potion, birthed a beast, and then turned back and killed him...
Old Tom must have had terribly bad luck to end up being your neighbor...
Sometimes, one must admit, boys need to protect themselves when out there, Harry muttered in his heart, or else they’ll get caught by freaks to have babies, ruining their lives.
"Is it true?" Marvolo asked with a gloomy voice, advancing a step or two toward the terrified young woman, "My daughter—the descendant of Salazar Slytherin’s pure-blood—is actually pursuing a filthy, despicable Muggle?"
Melop frantically shook her head, desperately squeezing herself into the corner of the wall, clearly unable to utter a single word.
"But I taught that guy a lesson, Dad!" Moffin cackled, "When he passed by, I taught him a lesson, he was covered in welts, doesn’t look so pretty now, right, Melop?"
"You despicable little Dud, you vile wretch!" Marvolo shouted, losing control, and he gripped his daughter by the throat.
"No!" Ogden shouted, then pointed his magic wand at Marvolo, "Relashio!"
Struck by the spell, Marvolo had to release his daughter, tripping over the chair and sprawling on the floor, looking like a fallen chimpanzee.
As Marvolo’s son, Moffin naturally would not sit by idly; he leaped up from the chair and pointed his wand at Ogden, shooting out a barrage of colorful evil curses.
More colors than a rainbow.
Ogden turned and ran without hesitation.
But Harry remained standing still, suddenly noticing Moffin turning towards him, firing a blast of emerald evil curse.
Harry did not dodge, taking a direct hit from the Killing Curse.
"This is impossible!"
Moffin cried out, clutching his face, when he saw Harry standing unhurt in front of him.
"There’s nothing impossible about it, Moffin." Harry said with a chuckle, "Or should I call you... Tom?"
Moffin... or rather, Tom smiled.
"It seems you finally discovered my presence," Moffin transformed into the young Tom’s appearance: "But I need to correct you, I am not Tom, nor am I any Riddle, I am Voldemort!"
"I knew you."
Harry nodded, drawing fire lines in the air, forming the letters ’Tom Marvolo Riddle,’ then rearranging them into ’I am Lord Voldemort.’
Voldemort stared at the words for a long time, momentarily unsure of what to say.
He said all my words!
"Dumbledore sent you, didn’t he?" Voldemort said with a sinister smile, "I know, a young wizard like you should not have graduated from Hogwarts yet, right?"
"Hmm, I’m just in my fifth year." Harry answered truthfully.
Indeed, no problem, I am in my fifth year.
"Ha." Voldemort let out a laugh, "A fifth-year student, Dumbledore is truly getting more and more decadent, sending a child like you to die..."
Saying this, he sneered, "Look at you, poor child—you don’t know how Dumbledore treated me back then, he always guarded against me, but he never thought about my feelings..."
"I’ve heard you say this before." Harry said, digging in his ear, "Tell me something I haven’t heard, I recall Dumbledore saying you killed your father, Old Tom Riddle, isn’t that right?"
"He knows nothing!" Voldemort roared furiously, "My mother—was toyed with and abandoned by that Muggle, shouldn’t he have been punished!"
"As far as I know, Voldemort." Harry lifted a finger, "Your mother seemed to be the proactive one—she drugged that poor Old Riddle so that a creature like you would appear... a product of Love Potion, void of understanding what love is—"
"Avada Kedavra!"
The green light reappeared, yet Harry still didn’t dodge.
"You’re upset, Tom." Harry shrugged, "You’ve been hit in your sore spot, haven’t you? It’s not just you who doesn’t understand what love is, your mother—Melop Gaunt, she didn’t love you either, otherwise she wouldn’t have left you in an orphanage."
"My mom loved me!" Voldemort screamed with a raspy voice, "You understand nothing! My mom loved me! She wasn’t like you said..."
"Prove it to me." Harry tilted his head, "Prove to me your mom loved you, or is it... you can’t prove it at all? Because she didn’t love you?"
"Additionally, I need to add." Harry further added, "This is a consciousness space, your spells won’t cause any harm to me, so it’s pointless to try."
"Of course, I know the spells won’t cause harm, kid."
Voldemort laughed darkly, suddenly transforming into a mass of black mist, eerie laughter emanating from within the mist.
"I only need to occupy your mind, poor kid—you don’t even realize you’re being used by Dumbledore!"
