Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 910 - 367: Voldemort in His Youth
Chapter 910: Chapter 367: Voldemort in His Youth
Let me try?
Harry pointed at himself, a question mark floating beside his head.
I say, Dumbledore, aren’t you the oldest wizard around? How did you develop the habit of relying on the young?
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Dumbledore said with a chuckle, "I don’t know Ancient Magic, Harry—I do remember you using Ancient Magic to strengthen the Mind Sealing Spell, that’s how you pulled Voldemort’s soul fragment into your Spiritual World and expelled it from your body, right?"
Harry immediately understood Dumbledore’s intentions.
So, old chap, you want me to replicate the process?
"But I have a question." Harry raised a finger, "Why are you so sure that the Ancient Magic-enhanced Mind Reading would pull the Voldemort fragment from Nagini into my Spiritual World?"
"It’s just a hypothesis, Harry." Dumbledore smiled, "I believe you can do it."
Damn.
You believe I can do it?
Harry was at a loss for words.
Just because of a hypothesis, you want me to try Ancient Magic-enhanced Mind Reading to tackle Voldemort’s soul fragment?
Sounds a bit exciting.
Harry wasn’t afraid at all, in fact, if he was timid and cautious, he wouldn’t belong to Gryffindor, nor be a legendary wizard a century later.
To become a legendary wizard, indispensable courage is essential.
"I’m in." Harry nodded.
"Harry." Sirius, however, voiced a different opinion.
Yet, before he could speak, Snape interrupted.
"So, based on a mere guess, you want a Hogwarts student to take the risk?" Snape lathered the retort, "I seriously doubt if our dear headmaster has eaten too many candies, sweet syrup seems to have marinated his brain, rendering him incapable of normal thinking."
"You know, although I always disagree with Snape." Sirius raised a hand and said to Dumbledore, "This time, I think he’s right."
However, this only elicited a snicker from Snape.
"I also believe this is an unnecessary risk." Professor Lupin concurred.
"It’s always essential to undertake some..." Harry wriggled his fingers, "challenges, yes, challenges, I think Dumbledore’s suggestion is quite fine, at least it’s worthy of becoming my next research target."
Seeing the trio’s disapproving faces, Harry spread his hands, smiling, "Don’t be like this, professors—I genuinely think so."
"Okay." Dumbledore nodded: "If you need anything, just let me know."
The three of them felt helpless, despite disagreeing with Dumbledore’s idea, but since Harry had accepted the proposal, they couldn’t oppose further.
That very night, Harry received a one-month vacation in advance—he started his summer holidays early—he arrived in Vienna, and in the office of the Minister of Magic of the Great German Ministry of Magic, he met Vivi.
"So you accepted Dumbledore’s proposal?" Vivi asked expressionlessly.
"I see it as a challenge." Harry raised an eyebrow.
"What do you need me to do?" Vivi asked, "Should I provide you with some...voluntary experimental dark wizards? Or some magic materials?"
Voluntary dark wizards?
Harry pulled at the corner of his mouth, saying they are voluntary, Vivi do you believe it yourself?
Scam the pigeons all you want, but don’t deceive yourself, sometimes you should think carefully, besides me, Harry, who else would believe you?
"Thank you, Vivi, you’re so considerate." Harry kissed Vivi’s cheek, "I think I need a few professors more—I remember you brought them to Vienna, right?"
"Yes, we are in Vienna." Professor Luke Wood’s voice sounded, "If you care to look up, instead of having eyes only for your girlfriend, you’d find us hanging right on the wall behind her."
Harry looked up and finally noticed the four giant portraits.
From left to right were Professor Charles Lukewood, Professor Percival Lachham, Professor Neovia Fitzgerald, and Professor Sen Bakaer.
"Hello, professors." Harry waved to them, "Long time no see."
"In fact, we’ve met quite a few times, Potter." Professor Lachham grinned, "Of course, during those times your focus was entirely on your little sweetheart, hardly even noticing us—I mean, your girlfriend."
"So is there anything you wanted from us, Harry?" Professor Fitzgerald asked, "Don’t tell me you really want to attempt integrating Ancient Magic into Mind Reading."
"Yes, professor." Harry nodded.
"I heard about this matter in the Headmaster’s Office at Hogwarts." Professor Fitzgerald said to the other professors, "I consider this idea carries certain risks, what do you all think?"
"I think it can be tried." Professor Sen Bakaer said, "Even though Dumbledore doesn’t know much about Ancient Magic, I believe his idea is worth a shot—However, I advise you, Potter, not to choose Voldemort’s Soul Artifact as your practice opponent initially, it would yield unpredictable outcomes—after all, it’s invading their Spiritual World, not allowing him into yours, understand?"
"I understand, professor." Harry nodded.
