Chapter 909: Chapter 366: All of Voldemort’s Soul Artifacts_2

Who possessed this black dog...?

Could it be some ghost?

Yet Sirius laughed, sitting there comfortably, saying, "Don’t look at me with that expression, Professor Snape. I know what you’re thinking—you’re just wondering why I didn’t insult you... right?"

Professor Snape snorted but said nothing.

"I am now the Minister of Magic, Mr. Snape," Sirius said with a grin, "As the Minister, I certainly won’t casually insult a professor or any wizard—of course, if I was just the ordinary wizard Sirius Black, then he’d be more than happy to have a little verbal skirmish with you."

"Hmph." Snape sneered, "Black Dog."

Sirius raised an eyebrow.

"Alright," Dumbledore interrupted the two, "I didn’t call you here to argue, but rather... about Voldemort."

"Voldemort?" the trio asked in unison.

"Yes, Voldemort," Dumbledore rubbed his forehead and continued, "The last Horcrux of Voldemort is with me, and I happened to remember why it seemed so familiar to me..."

"Why?" Harry asked curiously.

The others hadn’t seen Voldemort’s last Horcrux, but Harry had.

"It’s not that I remembered, but Abufosi did," Dumbledore said with a sigh, "This serpent was indeed someone from my past... In fact, she isn’t exactly a serpent in the strictest sense, but a Blood Curse Orc."

"Blood Curse Orc?" Lupin asked with a frown.

On the contrary, Harry, Sirius, and Snape looked thoughtful.

As a pure-blood wizard, Sirius had heard family legends about Blood Curse Orcs; as a Master of Magic Potions, Snape surely knew about Blood Curse Orcs—whereas Harry had seen them a hundred years ago.

"This is a type of curse, belonging to blood magic," Dumbledore sighed, "Blood magic is a special kind of curse, it doesn’t directly kill the target, but remains in the blood and is passed down to the next generation—Blood Curse Orcs are those who carry such a blood curse, and they eventually permanently transform into animals... Unfortunately, Nagini is one of them, she is a Blood Curse Orc."

The group caught the shift in Dumbledore’s pronoun usage—no longer ’it’, but ’she’.

Dumbledore went on, adding, "According to analysis, when turned into a snake due to the blood curse, the cursed individual retains no memory of being human, completely devolving into a snake."

"So that’s why she doesn’t remember you?" Harry tentatively asked, "I recall, Professor, that you spoke Parseltongue, yet when communicating with Nagini, she didn’t remember you at all..."

"Yes." Dumbledore rubbed his head, "Although destroying the Horcruxes can directly remove Voldemort’s soul fragments, if possible, I’d still like to save Nagini’s life."

"Don’t tell me you’re getting sentimental now, Dumbledore," Professor Snape coldly interjected, "You should understand, we ought to eliminate any of the Dark Lord’s powers at all costs, and this Horcrux—this Blood Curse Orc—she has already lost all memories of being human, she’s no different from a snake now. She’s not your old friend, wake up, Dumbledore!"

"I have no choice," Dumbledore sighed lightly, "She is my brother Abufosi Dumbledore’s daughter-in-law, my nephew Aurilius Dumbledore’s wife!"

The crowd was stunned by this news.

Seriously, such a major secret?

Even members of the Phoenix Society, like Lupin and Sirius, had never heard of this, let alone Snape.

And Harry?

Well, Harry was never particularly close to Dumbledore in the first place...

"So what do you think should be done?" Snape asked slowly, "Don’t tell me you plan to keep this snake until Voldemort remembers it, then rush to Hogwarts to capture it?"

"Do you think Voldemort dares to come?" Harry turned to ask Snape.

Snape was taken aback.

Alright, with Potter here, unless Voldemort is an idiot, he definitely wouldn’t storm into Hogwarts.

"Before fully becoming a snake, Nagini was a shy, gentle, quiet, and kind woman," Dumbledore said again, "So I hope everyone can help her break free from Voldemort’s control."

"You’re asking a lot of us, Professor," Sirius said helplessly, "As everyone knows, the curse of the Blood Curse Orc is irreversible, even if we have the desire, it can’t be done..."

"I’m not asking you to reverse her curse as a Blood Curse Orc," Dumbledore said, "I just want you to work together to find a way to remove Voldemort’s soul fragment from Nagini."

"Oh, that." Sirius said, "Then you’ve got the wrong man—I only know how to destroy Voldemort’s soul fragments along with the snake, not how to help the snake rid itself of Voldemort’s soul fragments."

"You’ve given us a puzzle," Snape, surprisingly, didn’t retort Sirius, but instead stared directly at Dumbledore.

"No," Harry suddenly said, "I just realized, did we veer off topic? Didn’t Professor Dumbledore say there was news about Voldemort? How did the topic shift to Nagini?"

"This is an indispensable element," Dumbledore said, "Nagini is currently controlled by Voldemort’s soul fragment, only by removing it can she reveal Voldemort’s movements to us..."

"And besides that?" Sirius pursued.

Dumbledore said nothing.

He stood up, walked over to the cabinet, and without reaching for the Meditation Basin, he opened the drawer beside it.

From the drawer, he took out a pile of items: a gleaming golden cup, a silver crown, a green locket, and a ring.

This ring, Sirius remembered, was precisely the one that settled Fudge’s connection to Voldemort, becoming a crucial factor in removing him from the position of Minister of Magic.

It must be said, Percy was indeed quite clever.

"These are all of Voldemort’s current Horcruxes, five in total including Nagini," Dumbledore said, "Besides these five, there are two other Horcruxes—Tom Riddle’s diary and Harry himself."

"Potter is a Horcrux?" Snape looked inquiringly at Dumbledore, "This is news you haven’t shared with me, Dumbledore."

"After I found out, Harry had already eliminated the piece of Voldemort’s soul," Dumbledore smiled and said, "So in theory, two of Voldemort’s seven Horcruxes have already been removed..."

"Wait." Sirius suddenly asked, "How can you be so sure Voldemort only has seven Horcruxes? Why not seventy?"

"Firstly, he can’t split his soul that finely," Dumbledore said with a smile, "Secondly, seven is a magical number, as I’ve probably mentioned to you before."

"And what about these things?" Sirius asked, "What do you plan to do with them? I know these items all have historical value, but since they’re related to Voldemort, some sacrifices are inevitable..."

"That’s where Harry comes in," Dumbledore said, looking at Harry with intent eyes, "I have an immature idea, maybe Harry can give it a try."
