Ice Wolf Clan Secret for Glory

Seven months had passed since Shin entered the lost dimension.

16th Floor — Exterior Hunting Grounds of the Ice Wolf Clan

Arlo’s fist came down like a hammer.

The heavy oak table, solid enough that two men would have struggled to tip it, split clean down the middle with a sharp, splintering crack. Papers, an ink pot, and the crumpled letter from his sister scattered across the floor. Black ink bled into the wood grain like a wound.

He stood over the wreckage, breathing hard, jaw locked so tight it ached. Arlo was normally very calm, but it was hard to contain his rage given the situation.

He was done with his stupid sister.

Done trying to make her see reason. Done writing letter after letter explaining why alliances mattered, why the Matra Clan and the Blue Dragons joining forces changed everything.

That stubborn woman refused to listen. She was too proud, too certain that the Ice Wolf Clan needed nothing but strength.

She believed in the clan’s philosophy far too much. Individual training and strength were everything to her. She believed that as long as she kept getting stronger, she would be able to protect everyone.

"Trust no one. Rely on yourself and nothing else." That was what she liked to say all the time. Pragmatism was a word she had never learned.

Arlo dragged a hand down his face, then turned and left the ruined study without looking back.

He walked to the small hunting ground he had ordered built so he could train the people he was recruiting. He couldn’t count only on his stupid sister and needed to take matters into his own hands, reinforcing the clan.

There, on the training ground, a group he had called upon was waiting for him. A group of beauties that would leave most men impressed.

They were the fifteen women Shin had saved during the test, and whose lives now belonged to him in a debt of gratitude. Because of it, they were the most loyal people under Arlo’s temporary command, the ones he could actually trust the most.

Besides, they were fifteen beauties from every corner of the world, every type of body that could make a man forget how to breathe.

Long-limbed and athletic. Soft and heavy-breasted. Narrow-waisted with thick, powerful thighs. Pale skin, deep brown skin, golden skin. Full asses that strained against fabric, high firm tits that moved when they breathed, hips that rolled with every step.

They had been training hard for a long time already, and it showed in their perfect bodies, and also in their strength. All of them had gone past Level 40, and they were growing far faster than any other newcomers Arlo knew of.

Besides, they still clearly loved Shin. They had even begun showing up in the new bodysuits they had come up with. Something about them looking cool and sexy, while also making the group easy to distinguish from others.

The suits were made of a thin, stretchy material that clung to every curve like a second skin, outlining nipples, the soft fold between their legs, the exact shape of each ass cheek.

The suits left almost nothing to the imagination, yet the women wore them without self-consciousness, as if the fabric were simply the most practical thing for training.

Maybe it was because they had listened to Zoe and Xia talk about how wonderful it had been sharing Shin, but the entire group had been surprisingly fond of the idea.

Arlo stopped in front of them.

"I’m going to show you what makes the Ice Wolf Clan special," he said. "The real reason we’ve always stood apart. I will show you how to gain the ice blessing." He showed a crystal he was carrying in his hands.

A tall woman near the front, dark skin gleaming with a light sheen of sweat, body long and powerful, the suit stretched tight across full breasts and a firm, rounded ass, tilted her head. She recognized what Arlo was carrying — it was the legendary ice stone.

"But I thought only ice users could use that?" the woman asked. She knew it would also be used to make weapons, but she was not sure what Arlo meant by showing them how to gain the blessing.

"I imagine all of you know what a Legendary Ice Crystal is, right?"

"Yes, it’s a super rare drop found only on floor 17, and it makes ice users stronger, around 5 to 10 times stronger, right?" a girl in the ranged classes said.

"This is what we tell the world, but not the truth," Arlo said. "This crystal is not a drop from any particular monster. We do need the core of an adult Mountain Wolf from the 17th floor, but there are other ingredients involved."

"Could it be that it’s related to the sacred cold mountains?" one of the girls guessed correctly, remembering what they had heard.

It was a well-known fact that the 1st Floor had a very unique effect. Its mountains made anyone who made use of ice power roughly ten times stronger.

That was the reason no one had ever successfully invaded the floor the Ice Wolf Clan held. Even though they were small compared to the other Eight Great Clans, it was almost impossible to fight them on their floor.

Still, it also meant that taking over the floor could be extremely valuable.

"Yes, a few important people outside the clan have already figured it out, but the truth is that what gives the boost is not the mountains, but the crystals that can be found there. And we mine these crystals, which, combined with the wolf core and other ingredients, make this thing."

He showed the Legendary Ice Crystal once again, then stood in silence for a long second before speaking again.

"But there is a secret even more important that I must share... The truth is that this crystal can also awaken ice powers in anyone."

"What?" The girls gasped, and one of them asked, "Wait, then anyone could receive the extra power?"

"Yes, to a certain extent. There is a formula we use to awaken the ice power in our members. However, just like the formula for the Legendary Ice Crystal, it’s a secret no one outside the clan knows. But I plan on telling it to you."

Silence held for a moment. Then the shorter girl asked quietly, "You’re really going to teach us how to make them?"

"I am," Arlo said. "Guard that knowledge with your lives. Betray it, and I will end you myself."

He waited. None of them looked away.

Only then did he begin teaching them what they needed to know to become even stronger, and to truly become part of the clan.
