Yu Dong raised a brow upon hearing this sudden claim. She looked down at Yu Mai who was hugging her neck and straightforwardly questioned, “Did you bully sister Nuan Nuan?”

“No!” Yu Mai shook his head and then turned to look at Ding Nuannuan before asking, “When did I bully you? It has always been you who keeps making trouble for me.”

Ding Nuan Nuan bit her lower lips, she looked at Yu Dong and Wu Junfen while waiting for Big Yu to make a move but when she didn’t, Ding Nuan Nuan gritted her teeth and said to Village Head Gu, “Its alright, Auntie Gu. Mai is still young, we should not hold anything against him.”

She then turned to look at the children behind her and said to them as well, “You all as well, don’t bully Mai. In fact, treat him just like before.”

Yu Dong frowned and so did Wu Junfen. The two of them noticed that there was something really off with what Ding Nuan Nuan had said.

It was as if she was calling Yu Mai foolish and childish.

“There is no need to forgive anything,” said Yu Dong as she continued to look at Ding Nuan Nuan. “If Mai has bullied you then just say it, I need to correct his behaviour as well.”

When Yu Dong said those words Ding Nuan Nuan shivered and pretended to be stupid, “Auntie Yu, Mai is still young. Let’s just forget it.”

Hah! This girl was really good at turning white into black. Wasn’t she?

Yu Dong and Wu Junfen looked at each other tactically. Even though Yu Dong did not say anything, it could be seen that her heart was filled with fire.

What did this girl mean by saying that they might as well forget it? Wasn’t this an indirect way to say that Yu Mai had bullied her?

“What do you mean by forget it?” Wu Junfen said as she released a hint of very strong yang energy. “It’s either yes or no. Just tell the truth and no one is going to say anything to you.”

However, Yu Dong did not pay any attention to the girl. Instead, she turned to look at Ding Nuan Nuan and repeated her question, “Nuan Nuan, did you hear what I said just now? Just say yes or no.”

Ding Nuan Nuan however didn’t respond, how could she when her heart felt like it was being ripped and torn? Her heart was thumping wildly as she breathed in and out but then —

Ding Nuan Nuan who had covered her mouth felt a surge of nausea wash over her. And when she looked down at her hands, she was surprised to see that her hands were dyed red with blood.

“I —I need to go,” Ding Nuan Nuan stammered as she turned on her feet and then ran away without letting anyone stop her.

She had no idea what was going on but Ding Nuan Nuan knew instinctively that she had to leave.

She then looked down at the children before saying, “What are you all doing here?”

Just like her, the children looked at one another before shaking their heads.

“We don’t know.”

Yu Dong narrowed her eyes at the children and Village Head Gu who were looking at one another in confusion.

She turned to look at Wu Junfen who shook her head and didn’t say anything.

Instead, it was Yu Mai who burst out in scolding, “What do you mean to say that you don’t know? You just called me a bully! And refused to play with me.”

He pointed at Little Nu and said to her, “I am not going to play with you all either.”

The children: !!!?

“When did we say such a thing?” Little Nu was stunned when she heard Yu Mai’s words. She glanced at Yu Dong who didn’t refute Yu Mai and turned even more confused.

They really said such a thing? When did it happen? Why doesn’t she remember such a thing happening?

“Mai, did we really say that?” Little Zhou asked as she looked at Yu Mai who harrumphed and said to her, “Don’t talk to me, I am a bully right?” After he finished speaking, he tugged on his sister’s sleeves.

Yu Dong turned to look at Yu Mai and said to him, “Do you want to go down?”

When Yu Mai nodded, she let him get down and no sooner did he get back on his feet, than the first thing that Yu Mai did was charge at Little Shi and kick him on the shin.

“This is payback! You have no right to feel angry!”
