Chapter 2605: Life Vs Death.

There have been many people who want to kill the god of death for good. The god of justice is a good example of one of the many people who wanted to eliminate the god of death completely.

Unfortunately, not many people can find the underworld, and even fewer people can enter it. And of those who have entered the underworld, not one has been able to ever get out of it.

In summary, the underground is a dangerous place that very few can find and enter. But the god of life was able to find it and disregard the danger to enter it.

If it were anyone else who had entered the underworld to destroy his phylactery, the god of death wouldn’t care because he has become a high god now and can resurrect even without his phylactery.

But he had to care that the god of life is going to the underworld because even if she can’t destroy his phylactery, she will be able to do untold damage to his servants in the underworld, which will weaken his other divine abilities.

Not only can she destroy his phylactery and kill his servants, but she can also refine the underworld since it is the authority of the pathway of death. There is just no way that he can allow the one person who can refine the foundation of his home to enter his home without supervision.

So now he had a choice to make. He could either continue to save the god of disaster or return to the underworld to prevent the god of life from wreaking havoc in it.

He briefly contemplated using his authority to drag out the soul of the god of fate to the underworld with him. But he didn’t want to have to fight two high gods, even if he would have the advantage of the home ground, especially since one of them is the god of life, so he gave up on tangling further with the god of fate.

The god of death chose to retreat to the underworld. He did so by simply recalling his body.

His current body is like the god of telepathy’s virtual body. The core of his existence is his phylactery in the underworld, so he can easily make his body disintegrate in the physical world and recreate it in the underworld.

The underworld is truly the home ground of the god of death. This is because the undead servants and wraith servants of the god of death can’t die in the underworld.

If he had pulled the soul of the god of fate into the underworld, all of his undead servants and wraiths would be able to besiege her nonstop. No matter how powerful she is, she will eventually be killed.

But the god of life fared differently in the underworld. She wielded her authority, the Fire of Life, to great effect against the undead servants and wraiths.

The Fire of Life is a rainbow colored fire. It looks pretty, but it is very deadly.

The Fire of Life can be seen burning as a little flame above the head of the god of life. But when the god of fire unleashed it without reserve, the small flame became a giant one, and fire poured out of the giant flame into her surroundings.

The fire pouring out of the rainbow colored Fire of Life acted like water. It washed over everything, burning them and spreading. The fire was constantly growing in its attempt to cover everything up.

Everything that the fire touched was burned to ashes in a maximum of two seconds. Only the dark walls around them, which serve as the boundary of the underworld, were able to endure the fire.

Everything that she killed with the fire died permanently. Not even the great and powerful underworld could save them.

The god of death was not happy to see this. He had to stop her, so he used his main offensive divine abilities, which are the Death Ray divine ability and the Spirit Strike divine ability.

These two divine abilities were able to give pause to the god of life. But the god of death didn’t stop there. He also used the Zombie Giant divine ability, which made his undead servants combine into a single giant being.

Millions upon millions of undead servants and spirits combined into one large and powerful entity called a zombie giant. The zombie giant possessed the power of a high god. This gave it the power to resist the fire and even threaten the life of the god of life.

However, the god of life wasn’t willing to back down just yet. The god of fate had helped her pinpoint the location of the ever-relocating underworld, and she had paid a great sacrifice to enter the underworld with her physical body. So there was no way she was going to back down so soon.

In order to achieve what she came for, she summoned the beasts that she tamed using the Beast Taming divine ability. These beasts came out of the rainbow colored fire and helped her to fight the zombie giant.

The zombie giant was oozing black corrosive poison that was potent enough to cause a godclad to decay in seconds. As godlings, her divine beasts are highly susceptible to this corpse poison. But thanks to the help of the god of life, they were able to withstand the corpse poison and the power of the zombie giant.

The god of life used the Life Empowerment divine ability on her divine beasts. This divine ability improved their physical strength, physical endurance, and physical defense to the level of a god.

Raising the strength of godlings to the level of a god is very impressive. Not many people can do this. But this still wasn’t enough to defeat the zombie giant.

The best that the divine beasts could do was distract the zombie giant. This allowed the god of life to deal with the god of life to deal with the god of death.
